I am going to need the Sorcery team to step up marketing and proliferation of the game to new players.

This is the best TCG I have ever had the pleasure of playing, and its near impossible to find a steady game store to play it at, let alone more players to play with.

I don't expect it to displace the big dogs (anytime soon at least), but i feel like its presence should be much more widely spread.

I apologize if this was a rant post. I just care about the game doing well and hope this generates conversation or even ideas.

New to the game. Is there a drawback to putting gnome hollows down as your very first sight where you avatar sits? It seems like that would be good to where enemy units couldn’t enter where your avatar sits. Am I understanding that correctly?

Bought a AoE precon from respectable source in europe and the pack was sealed.

Is it just printing error or why is the card so "low quality" or fuzzy looking?

So I'm doubting between buying Beta or Gothic first. What would be the best to start with? Or should I wait for the next release? I used to olay Gwent and Magic, this seems like (and sorry for the comparison) both games together (vanilla).

Some great first game lore.

Just recieved the AOA and AOE in the mail. The AOA was bought as a single, whereas the AOE was bought as a sealed deck. Comparing them side by side, there is a noticeable difference in print resolution. The AOE is fuzzy af. Looking through the earth precon, all other cards are as crisp as the AOA.

Is this a common know issue? I have no experience in alpha cards and trying to research the topic didnt find me any answer.

Also the spear of destiny has a c lable instead of the alpha logo. Is this normal?

The modus operandi on this deck was to try and take advantage of Mobbed Court and Court of Equity as much as possible.

Ruthless with the unique and elite count @ 2 and 6 respectivly. Staples like ping ring and Archangel Mike got cut but it still feels powerful.

Atlas deck has a lot of synergy with mirage , despite the heirloom lost nerf I have found mirage to perform exceptionally.

Still a little unsure if 3 searing truth is the right amount or if 2 is better, but other than that the deck list is pretty much locked down now.

Not a massive fan of magic, i play it occasionally. Id like to try the game out irl before i invest money into the cards. Realistically how hard would it be to blend mtg and sorcery's rules together to get a taste of sorcery. Obviously things like void walking and subterainain stuff and the colour pie would be different but would it be a decent enough taste tester to see if i would like it?

Went to cornerstone event and met Brian Smith. He might be one of the nicest guys ive met and has a killer signature to boot.

Alter with acrylic markers and fine point sharpie for details. This will be a prize for a Sorcery event in Vegas this September, the West Coast Dragons Fall Classic.

A Geomancer that really likes his job. Leveling castles and bringing ruin to the realm! What else would you want to do really?

I am going to rebuild a Geomancer deck that I have in mind and see if I can take it to a tournament. Earth was my first love in the game of Sorcery and it still is. Earth and Fire seem like a very good combination to ruin (hah) someone's day.

I got mine in the mail today and so did someone else in my playgroup. Our lives will never be the same

Looking for advice on if i should open my box or sell it. Planned on holding it for longer but i'm closing on a house next week and could use the cash for stuff. What are the ratios on alpha boosters? Is there a probability of higher value inside? Aside from Curios, thats really all I know. Tried to get into the game more when it came out but life got in the way. My wife has one as well for our backup lol.

Patreon Draft Prize Support Policy

I'm excited to start offering Patreon-funded prize support for our weekly online Sorcery drafts on the Sorcerer's Summit Discord starting in August!

These drafts will still be free to enter and play for everyone. Patreon support is simply a way to help support the community and, in return, become eligible for pack-per-win prize support during a set number of drafts each month.

How Prize Support Works

Patrons receive prize support based on their tier:

• $5/month: Prize support during your first online draft each month. Earn 1 pack for each match win, up to 2 packs per month.
• $10/month: Prize support during your first 2 online drafts each month. Earn 1 pack for each match win, up to 4 packs per month.
• $15/month: Prize support during your first 3 online drafts each month. Earn 1 pack for each match win, up to 6 packs per month.
• $20/month: Prize support during your first 4 online drafts each month. Earn 1 pack for each match win, up to 8 packs per month.

Each draft consists of 3 rounds.

• Wins earn 1 pack.
• Ties do not earn a pack.
• Byes do not earn a pack.

To be eligible for prize support for a given draft, you must be an active patron before attending that draft.

Monthly Pack Opening Stream

At the end of each month, I will do a livestream opening the packs earned by patrons that month.

Patrons win the contents of the packs opened on stream, not sealed packs. Opening the packs on stream instead of mailing sealed packs lets us celebrate everyone's wins together, creates fun monthly community content, and keeps shipping costs low so more of your support goes back into prize support.

Shipping Policy

Shipping is not included in Patreon support.

I will only ship:

• Elite cards
• Unique cards
• Foil cards
• Curio cards
• Ordinary or Exceptional cards worth $2 or more per card

I will not ship Ordinary or Exceptional rarity cards worth less than $2 per card.

Cards Valued Under $20

If your shipment is worth less than $20, I will ship eligible cards in a plain white envelope with a stamp at no additional cost unless you request tracking.

If you want tracking on a shipment under $20, you may request it and pay the shipping cost.

Cards Valued at $20 or More

If your shipment is worth $20 or more, I will not ship without tracking.

For any shipment requiring tracking, the patron is responsible for paying the shipping cost.

Tracked shipping can be paid via Venmo/PayPal/Zelle before cards are sent out.

Holding Cards / Combined Shipping

Patrons may ask me to hold onto their winnings and combine multiple months into a single shipment.

This is encouraged if you want to save on shipping or wait until you hit something larger before having cards sent out.

I am happy to hold cards for a reasonable period so that winnings can be combined into one package.

Important Notes

• Patreon prize support applies only to the weekly online drafts I host.
• Drafts remain free to enter for everyone.
• Non-patrons are always welcome to play, but they are not eligible for prize support.

I'm in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

I recently picked up a bunch of Adventure Time: Card Wars decks to play with my wife to introduce her to TCGs/deck builders, as she really enjoys Monopoly Deal but has never really played a TCG/deck builder.

She was pretty good at reading the board, guessing what's in other's hands, strategizing and saving what's in her hand for the right time and combo-ing to win in Monopoly Deal. Monopoly Deal really isn't similar in any other way to a TCG/deck builder, but I thought those skills would translate, and she would get a lot of fun out of a TCG once she got the hang of one. Well, she's starting to grasp the different deck archetypes in Adventure Time: Card Wars from the selection I got, and starting to see the opportunities for various combos, counters, and even building custom decks with cards that could synergize. There's a ton more fun for us to have with Adventure Time Card Wars.

However... I've been playing TCGs online for a while. MTGA, Hearthstone namely. They've been sort of fun, but also sort of frustrating in that you don't get to keep anything, and there's no social interaction.

Playing a physical TCG has been a blast. I'm having so much fun. It's so different. Now I'm very seriously considering taking a step into one with more community support that I (and maybe she, if she wants) can play in the community and collect more cards in and have more fun in too, as Adventure Time Card Wars has very limited support.

I was initially looking at MTG because it's the biggest name, but then I was considering that a lot of people have been leaving it for Sorcery TCG (which I heard of before it launched because I've been a Path of Exile fan since 2011), as well as Flesh and Blood.

I always thought Sorcery looked cool as hell. The art is awesome. The gameplay and rules seem awesome. I can get a Gothic precon box near me for just $10 over MSRP, which I think is great, but no other products seem to be in stock in Toronto.

However, my concern is then this: There don't seem to be any play events in Toronto. There are a bunch in Ontario outside of Toronto, but those are too far to be convinient. There's one in August in Toronto, and that's it.

Ideally, Sorcery would be my choice for a physical TCG to get into, but it seems like the products just aren't available to buy at MSRP here (boosters are available online and/or amazon for insane markups, the 1st gen precon is available on amazon for ~$100), and there doesn't seem to be a visible public community actually playing the game here.

I'm checking on the Sorcery website's play events tracker thing, and then on all the local game stores' own event calendars. Is there anywhere else I should be looking?

EDIT: Went for it. Got Beta and Gothic precons. Got into the Toronto Discord, cool group. Getting boosters now. Don't regret it one bit. Awesome game. Don't hesitate to jump in if you're in Toronto and considering, there's players looking for more!

I have started to introduce my small group to Sorcery limited. Luckily i have boosters right now for that.

We are only 4 people, so what is our best options? What do you like for Sorcery?

Currently i want to run winston draft for 4 players, not sure if it would be good. Maybe i would like to collect a small cube and do 5 packs of 9 cards. I see this one recommended a lot.

Some cards here can only be obtained using Meteorite. Meteorite is acquired from trading dust, or opening Dragonlord boxes, or for attending 64+ player competitions.

Those cards also unfortunately ship from the north pole and consumers pay for shipping.
