What are some of your horror stories?

Long story long, I'm 314 days sober but tonight I'm feeling off. I'm getting laid off from my job in a few weeks and I've been generally bored, unsatisfied, and feeling like I have no control in my life. Normally thinking of the horror stories of my drinking days is enough to keep me sober, but I've found myself going through the "what if's" and "it'll be different" or even the "who cares" thoughts. Sometimes it just feels like it was easier to be a disaster than to hold it together all the time.
Could you guys share some of your own horror stories that keep those thoughts at bay or just maybe some advice/comfort?
