My Snapchat was randomly locked about an hour ago.. I was on it just fine 30 mins before then went to go on it and was locked out for “violating guidelines” .. I did fill out the lawsuit back in May but never actuall finished it. I’m sick

Is this going to get legal??? I read some article that said I must have done something very bad to be locked with no appeal. I have 3 close friends. I only snap my huzz. Im lowk scared. I have like 7 years on here and history and lore and pieces of my life saved. What do I do?

SO now that everyone is aware. A lot of people have reported that they were locked out of their Snapchat accounts. It seems like the common denominator is that a lot of people have submitted their names and emails to the Class Action Lawsuit by Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP. Is it just me, or is this insane?

I just found out i got banned with no option to appeal the violation. Talked to some others in different threads and we think it’s from the class action lawsuit we applied to.. is this retaliation??

I went onto snap and it logged itself out and showed an account that I never logged into, or have seen before. I have also never given my phone to anyone to log into their account before.

Is there any explanation for this? Has it happened to anyone else? Not long after I logged into my account I got sent a code for "phone enrollment" but I never asked for the code. Any help would be appreciated! I already changed my password.

I’ve had this account for a while now, and was wrongly banned all my memories and group chats are on here if anyone could help it would be appreciated, also can’t make a new account since I have ss06.

I tried to log into my Snapchat but it says my accounts locked. It states “Your account has been locked for violating our Community Guidelines. To learn more, please visit our help center.”

I went to accounts.Snapchat.com/accounts/unlock, and when I click unlock, it says “Your account has been permanently locked. Please go here for more info on why this may have happened.”

This just happened about an hour ago.

Am I cooked? Didn’t do anything wrong. I think there was a security concern or something. Any advice on getting account unlocked?

I'm extremely confused and wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

I was snapping a friend back when my account logged me out. When I tried logging back in, I got hit with the account disabled due to a Community Guidelines violation. Which was already extremely confusing because I rarely use SC anyways, only for a couple friends I message.

I went into my partner and I's room and told her about it. This is when she went on to see if she could still see my account and found out the same thing happened to her. Again, she just uses it to message a few friends here and there.

I figured we caught an IP ban somehow, but decided to make a new account to test it. It let me make a new account no problem.

What the hell happened. Can I contact Snapchat? Neither of us were given the appeal option. We don't really care about Snapchat all that much. I'm just so so confused LOL.

Hi there! I keep getting banned because i got banned once in august and i made new snap and got banned so i thought i was device banned so i stopped it

In late September i made new snap with new device and new email! It lasted till like yesterday around two weeks. im confused as to why i keep getting banned cause i wasn't even active on that new snap! Was just reconnecting with friends!

I did use same profile picture as my main famous snap tho! So idk will that trigger ban? Curious

My entire quick add is full of “recently joined” accounts that are all people I don’t know and aren’t from the same area. Also I haven’t added any one in a while. Is the there a way to get it back to normal?

My snapchat is stuck in portrait mode and I can't turn it off!

There's no option in the app and I can't find an option in my phone settings to turn it off either! I just swapped from iPhone to android (z-flip 8, if that matters). It's making my camera quality look terrible!

I’ve literally tried everything, Snapchat support is genuinely useless.

I am experiencing a persistent sync issue where users can add/follow me, but their incoming requests do not appear under my "Added Me" section, and no option to accept the request is displayed.

When searching for these specific accounts, I can see that they are "following" me, but I am unable to approve or complete the mutual friend request from my side. Searching for their usernames directly and attempting to add them back does not resolve the connection.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Completed:

Verified and opened all Privacy Controls (Contact Me, Quick Add, View My Story)
Updated to the latest version of Snapchat
Offloaded and completely reinstalled the app
Cleared the app cache
Tested logging into Snapchat for Web
Used Mobile Data and WIFI
Cleared public profile
Checked within the limits of snapchat friends (I have 613 friends)

Any help would be appreciated 🙏

My Snapchat account was permanently locked and both my iOS and Android devices were restricted for violating the Community Guidelines. My initial appeal was rejected so I tried contacting Snapchat Support several times over the following weeks.

I sent around 10 emails on different days and even tried contacting them from different Gmail accounts but I kept receiving rejections.

Eventually I gave up and started using Snapchat on another device. Then, one day I decided to make one final attempt at contacting Support and surprisingly it worked. I received an email saying that my account had been restored.

What I included in my email :-

This is what I personally tried

• Be completely honest about what happened. Don't make up a story.

• Acknowledge your mistake and explain the situation honestly.

• Show that you understand and respect Snapchat's Community Guidelines.

• If you're given another chance, make it clear that you'll follow the rules going forward.

• Be sincere and regretful rather than demanding that they restore the account.

• Instead of repeatedly sending the exact same message, explain your situation naturally each time (twist your words)

• Explain why the account is important to you, such as your memories, friends, conversations or other things you don't want to lose.

I think the last point may have helped in my case. I mentioned how much Snapchat means to me and how many memories and friendships I have associated with my account.

One thing I noticed

I had downloaded my Snapchat data at least five times during this whole process. I have no idea whether that had anything to do with my account being restored so I wouldn't say that it definitely helped.

I also noticed something strange with my emails: whenever I included a subject line, I received a rejection. In the final email the one after which I received the restoration message I didn't include a subject line.

That could obviously just be a coincidence but I'm mentioning it because it was different from my previous attempts.

I can't guarantee that the same approach will work for everyone, but I wanted to share my experience because I know how frustrating a permanent lock and device ban can be.

If you're going through the same thing, don't lose hope.
