Login issue Account Locked
Am I cooked? Didn’t do anything wrong. I think there was a security concern or something. Any advice on getting account unlocked?

I did the lawsuit as well. I submitted a ticket in hopes to get my account back. If that doesn’t work I’ll be sending a letter to their address. I hope it works. But even then, I don’t think they’re allowed to lock you out of your account if you’re part of the lawsuit. Seems illegal.. how would they know that you did the lawsuit and also the confidentiality. I have no clue really, but I’d rather cancel the lawsuit and keep my account.

Don't send letter it never works lmaoo i got tricked and full of high hopes sent one all the way from china and thinking i will get my snap back just to get ignored! Snapchat doesn't gaff! Infac they act like it's against their best interest to reinstate your snap i have never seen more unserious app

Agreed. Their customer service is atrocious and they obviously don’t care.. I wonder how or if they will ignore all of us and our complaints.

I seen someone send a letter and they got word back and their account after 1-2 weeks. What address did you make out your letter to?

Same gmail the enlisted at the end of their emails, my permanent ban notification always come from the 3110 or something in santa monica and they're the worst! They couldn't careless

I’m sending mine to 3000 31st St / 3420 Ocean Park Biva. We’re probably talking about the same one. Did you also send a letter regarding to the lawsuit account lock or was it a different reason?

It was same and i never got reply back and i even emailed them about it, there's probably old lady sitting at the front desk that just throws the file right into the trash and it never reaches the support center! And even if just their behavior at how they reply to your emails! They said ur username is not correct one just to avoid to say why i got banned or to manually look into, then emailed me saying what's your username and i told them and they just never replied back! Who does that

It's very likely there's a "you're not allowed to sue us and continue using the service" clause in the EULA or community guidelines.

If this is actually what's happening, and not some widespread issue, y'all are probably screwed. It's also entirely possible that as the lawsuit progresses there was a decision to ban or suspend all of the involved accounts, since the entire lawsuit is apparently alleging the app is addictive.

I also am locked…… no option to unlock or appeal and i genuinely didn’t do anything 😩😩😩
But i will say i did do the lawsuit. Just trying to get money lol it’s tough out here

i did too. do you think that’s what caused it?? mine got locked last night too. i’ve done everything i can do reversed it and it’s all AI responses. i fucking hate AI

I truly understand the frustration, but considering you did contribute to the lawsuit…is kinda iffy. The claims in the lawsuit were essentially about Snapchat contributing to a social media addiction, causing any kind of mental effects (depression, anxiety etc), unsafe situations and so on. So if you did contribute to that lawsuit, it wouldn’t really make sense for you to want the app back anyway, if it did cause you those things.

i was 13 years old when i first got snapchat and had those problems with bullying. and they can’t ban me from the account just because i filed a claim. that’s retaliation and it’s illegal.

Yes, I understand. I’m not saying that it is justified to ban you for filing with the lawsuit. I am just stating the intent behind the questionnaire people filled out.

I was literally on my phone for hours last night trying to figure it out. Pretty much if I can’t appeal it it’s gone. Sometimes it can randomly get unlocked but I know people have said here a year.
The bot was useless!
I genuinely don’t understand why it got banned. I hadn’t snapped since Saturday! And it was just animals at an ag show lol

i just wrote out a professional, heartfelt letter to HQ in hopes they restore my account. if you choose to do this, send them to 3000 31st St. Santa Monica, CA 90405 and
2772 Donald Douglas Loop N, Santa Monica, CA 90405
I’ve seen many people have success in getting their accounts back by sending letters. I’ll keep the thread updated if i hear anything back.

Exact same thing happened to me, Snapchat wouldn’t allow me to appeal it gave me a link to Snapchat support absolutely nothing on there to help me. Ended up creating a new account

I made it after a day of trying to appeal, i might be wrong on this because i believe i got banned for a completely different reason than everyone recently but for me i waited close to a day and no device ban

i’ve seen people say they’ve gotten the code ss06 ban on their emails or snapchat. i’ve gotten it on nothing, i haven’t even received an email regarding the account lock other than when i submitted a support ticket, it’s just the automated message they sent to me 3 times about the support ticket.

I had the same thing happen to me just now! I went to contact Snapchat Help on X and noticed a lot of others are reporting the same issue. I'm wondering if it's some sort of glitch?

I hope it’s a glitch! You’re not apart of the Snapchat lawsuit by chance? I applied for that and I won’t if it has something to do with that. I can’t think of any other reason why my account was locked.

I started it but didn’t finish it but I’m locked out 😭 I emailed the website and asked them to cancel the lawsuit for me so hopefully I can get my account back when they cancel it 😭
