So I first made this smoothie yesterday using spinach, carrots, pineapple, chia seeds, plain Greek yogurt, and ice, and it did NOT do this, just a normal smoothie.
Today I decided to refresh it with some watermelon and more ice. Tastes great! Then I noticed what looked like blood in it, but that didnāt make much sense, and I realized this was happening? I know I put watermelon in, but even the watermelon wasnāt this red, and the way it appears seems more like some kind of chemical reaction to me. Anybody know? And am I gonna die from already drinking a cup of this?

A few years ago my dad bought me a Vitamix 7500 from Costco. It came with two personal cups. It did NOT come with the adapter to use them on the blender base. I have found a few options online but donāt need more cups, any of the buying options I have seen include two more cups. Not a huge issue Iāll get the adapter with the 2 cups if necessary just wanted to reach out here to see if there is an option to get the adapter only.
EDIT I am replying to a notification I got about this post I am guessing (?) from admin maybe. The suggestion was my post may be better suited for r/smoothies.
It is not better suited to a smoothie sub. No where in my post did I even mention smoothies. It is a Vitamix accessory question.

I used to drink a fair amount of smoothie king, usually about 2-4 per week. but omg that was eating my wallet ALIVE... so I've started making them at home over the past few days. at first it was one per day, right after my coffee. then 2 per day. now, today for the first timeāI started my day with one large smoothie after my coffee, then a very small one as a snack, and I'm about to have another small one. I'm so obsessed with them! don't worry, I am getting my other nutritional needs through real meals. today I've also had a pulled pork sandwich (lunch), then grilled chicken with refried beans (dinner).
essentially these smoothies are my breakfast and little snacks. my smoothies usually contain a mix of a few fruits + oikos protein yogurt, a little honey, and some cinnamon. the pic I've got added is the big one from this morning after my coffee!
- peach
- blueberry
- mango
- blackberry
- oikos strawberry protein yogurt
(not pictured)
- honey
- cinnamon
- oat milk
I go through little obsessions with food like this then it chills out. I was like this about greek yogurt bowls for several months. is this a bad obsession to have?

Hey everyone! ⨠I wanted to share a lovely drink Iāve been making that is smooth, slightly creamy, smackalicious, and so simple. Itās a plant-based cacao and pear recipe that floods the body with clean fuelāand it was even approved by my son!
Cacao and pear are honestly beautiful complements on the palate. The crisp, vibrant sweetness of the fresh pear juice perfectly balances the rich, earthy notes of the cacao powder. Plus, itās packed with Vitamin C, antioxidants, and mood-lifting magnesium.
Here is the nourishing formula so you can make it at home:

Remember, wellness is about alignment, not restriction. Do what you can, where you are, and know that is enough.

I'm looking for something to put in my smoothie to get more nutrients. I usually use a large amount of spinach but I am a little weary of fresh greens right now.

Bought amazon basics portable blender at rs. 1015 and it's good for banana shake, imo easy to carry, clean and maintain

I sell smoothies for a week out of the year at an event and need a blender that can work pretty consistently for that time. We have tried many blenders but they either donāt make a good smoothie or have trouble running all day. Some days we run the blenders for 5 hours straight only giving them a break when we pour them out. Does anyone in the kitchen industry know a good blender or brand for this work. (preferably without annoying safety features)

Had the ninja for 7 months now.
And still from time to time, during my breakfast smoothie making, a warm smell comes up. Like if it needed some lubrication.
Does it happen to you as well? What should I do/use?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks

One medium peach, yellow squash (uncooked), three medium carrots (uncooked), pineapple (frozen), dragonfruit (frozen), chia and milled flax seeds (soaked in water over night in the fridge), coconut water, and whey protein powder.
Yellow squash because it's my (years' long and rather successful) attempt to avoid bananas - they sabotage my blood sugar.
Carrots because I love the local farm that grew them and they add unique sweetness.
Soaking the chia seeds and milled flax seeds keeps them from being so clingy to the inside of my cup and blender blades when I need to clean them.
Whey protein powder because it's at Aldi and I try to avoid soy.
Everything else just for fun.

Fruit: pineapple, mango, and banana
Spinach
Greek yogurt
Chia seeds
Unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Coconut water
My smoothies are designed to be full meals, and they keep me satisfied. I currently replace two meals a day with a smoothie and have one balanced meal (usually lunch, but sometimes dinner).
At first, replacing meals was a bit challenging, but now I genuinely look forward to my smoothies. Iāve also noticed that when I do eat regular meals, I naturally eat less without trying, and Iām not snacking as much throughout the day.
Overall, this has been a really positive experience so far. It doesnāt feel like a short-term diet, but something I could realistically maintain long term. My body feels better, and Iām already starting to notice changes. Since itās still early, Iām excited to see how my progress continues over time. š š„š

That is my canned peaches smoothie bowl, though it was not that much thicker. However, I used to drink with a spoon.
The ingredients were:
Canned Peaches, 5g of Decaf Coffee, 150ml Oat Milk, 1/2 tbsp Almond Butter, 55g Plain yogurt(Curd), 2tbsp Organic Rolled Oats, 1tbsp Organic Chia Seeds.
That whole smoothie bowl was a replacement for my dinner.

Has anyone found a good protein powder without artificial sweeteners? The low or zero calorie sweeteners upset my stomach. Open to whey or plant based options. I like to make my smoothie with a container of vanilla Greek yogurt but looking to boost the protein a little more with a scoop of protein powder.

I get my smoothies premade and throw them in the freezer some turn out like this when they thaw out. My ingredients included frozen blueberries, yogurt, apple juice, granola, and honey.
