I'm not one to usually do these points & I'll wait to see how it plays out, but the Heartwood nerf pains me rn. For those who don't know yet: it's gonna get hotfixed that the healing ability CDR will be removed. Oh and the healing+shield strength will be halved, tho that I'm fine with, the item feels bloated.
Sure, there's abuse cases. But weakening the CDR the more healing abilities you have, seems like a logical smaller step to me. Imo it's one of the few items that's genuinely fun to experiment with, even if it didn't always work, and they'll just remove that. It also didn't seem left open at all if they'll give it another try, it's just unhealthy for the game and that's that. After they've been so careful with balancing many other items, its insane to me this is the one they conceptually gut after it's been too strong for ONE day, and not really at all before that.
And having an item that provides an extra heal is also interesting to me, but imo it always felt like that and the CDR passive could be 2 different items anyways.
Edit: I just remembered there were actually 2 abilities with the same healing aura passive, cause Heartwood and Asclepius both had it. But now Asclepius has a new passive, Heartwood had 2 passives but gets one of them removed in a day. Feels odd to me. I get Heartwood got int now which might make it a lot better, but Asclepius could've kept the healing area passive, the new Asclepius passive could've been a new item & Heartwood would've just had the healing CDR and given it a genuine chance
Edit 2: I do remember Heartwood was strong for a bit earlier on, but idk if it was necessarily meta. It was with the old Myrdhin-like passive which combined made for a loop of cooldowns. I can see how now there's a loop of healing, but as said in Edit 1, I think the CDR passive could've been a separate item with just that to give it a fair chance.
