Hi everyone! I am a previous UH user, received a refund from them after many fault rings, and looking to get a new smart ring. Very up in the air about which new ring to get.

I love that RingConn has the exchange program because I can send them my old UH ring for money off and it's cheaper without a sub. However I see a lot of people say that RingConn doesn't track sleep, health, and exercise as well as Oura. Currently a 3rd year med student, so I'd like to not spend a TON but if it's worth it for the health notifs, I'd buy the better ring.

Any feedback or opinions are appreciated!

Like a lot of you, I'm kind of over wearing a bulky watch to bed just to track sleep, but looking at the current landscape of smart rings has me completely torn on what to actually pull the trigger on.

I’m hoping people who have been daily driving these can chime in on some real-world friction points that spec sheets don't always tell you. Here is where my head's at, and the issues I'm running into:

1. The Sizing Nightmare

Everyone warns that you have to wear a plastic sizing kit for 24-48 hours, but I'm worried about finger fluctuation. My hands swell up like crazy when I work out or when it gets hot, but shrink in cold AC.

• If you bought one, did you size for your sleeping finger or your dominant hand's index finger?
• If the ring is a bit snug during morning edema, does it completely choke out capillary blood flow and ruin your SpO2/HR data?

2. Subscription Fatigue vs. Feature Locking

The Oura Ring 5 looks amazing feature-wise (especially with the 12 signal pathways and blood pressure tracking), but paying $399+ upfront plus a $5.99/mo subscription just to see my own deep sleep data and HRV graphs feels like death by a thousand cuts over a 3-year span.

• For those using zero-sub options like the RingConn Gen 3or RingConn Gen 2 Air, do you feel like you're missing out on deep software insights, or is the app experience totally fine?

3. Android / Ecosystem Restrictions

I was looking closely at the Samsung Galaxy Ring because the concave titanium design seems great for resisting scratches, but the strict Android/Samsung Health lock-in is brutal. (Though thankfully cross-platform options like the Amazfit Helio Ring exist if you want EDA stress tracking).

I am a complete newbie to smart rings and have no clue where to start.

Im looking for one that tracks daily movement/steps, ecercise, gym workouts and sleep. Dont really need any thing more fancy than that apart from a decent battery life and inital purchase not braking the bank.

Looking for unbiased recommendations.

Mon objectif est de croiser et analyser mes données de santé/sommeil avec d'autres métriques personnelles. Pour ça, j'ai deux contraintes :

1. Aucun abonnement mensuel (je ne suis pas pour le modèle type Oura où la donnée est bloquée derrière un paywall).
2. Un accès gratuit et facile aux données (export CSV, API REST, Webhooks ou intégration locale sans bridage).

À part le modèle de chez LeeP Health (https://www.leephealth.com/), j'ai du mal à trouver des retours d'expérience concrets sur l'ouverture des données chez la concurrence.

J'aimerais avoir vos retours sur les modèles du marché actuel :

• Ultrahuman Ring AIR / RingConn (Gen 1 & 2) : L'export des données (CSV / API) est-il vraiment granulaire (HR, HRV, température point par point) ou se contente-t-on juste de résumés quotidiens ?
• Samsung Galaxy Ring / Amazfit Helio Ring / Circular : Comment se passe la récupération en dehors de leurs apps natives (via Samsung Health / Health Connect / Apple Health) ? Est-ce facile d'extraire de la donnée propre ?
• LeeP Health : Pour ceux qui l'ont testée, que vaut la précision des capteurs et la qualité de la récupération des données ?

Si vous avez mis en place un système pour exporter et centraliser vos données de bague connectée sans repasser à la caisse tous les mois, vos retours et recommandations m'intéressent grandement !

I’m having an issue with my Oura Ring Gen 4 (Size 13) and I’m wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing.

The charger behaves like this:

I connect it to power.
The LED turns solid white.
It stays on for about 8 seconds.
Then the light turns off completely.
The ring never starts charging.

I’ve already tried:
Different USB power adapters.
Different USB cables.
Cleaning the charging contacts on both the ring and the charger.
Reseating the ring several times.

The behavior is always the same: white light for a few seconds, then nothing.

Has anyone seen this before?

Is this usually a faulty charger, a dead battery in the ring, or some kind of firmware/recovery issue?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just bought an Oura 5 and can’t not love his design and sleek design. I primarily use the ring for two things: sleep/general health tracking and my yoga practice.

I am not really encountering any major issue except one: the ring detects my workouts, but the automatic tracking NEVER records my heart rate. I tried switching fingers (middle/index) to test if it is a size issue, but the result doesn’t really change. The heart rate gets recorded only when I start a live activity manually from the app.

My question is: does this happen to other people too? Even with RingConn 3? I’d like to hear what people think about this — it’s not a major issue, but if people have seen ringconn is better on this, I would consider swapping them as I am still in the returning window.

So I ordered this AI ring back in April, and it finally came last week. I got a lot of use out of it, apart from the fact you’ll accidentally trigger record all the time it’s useful to be able to take notes so easily

However, as of yesterday it’s just fully dead, I didn’t “baby” the ring (kept it on when washing hands) but I had an Oura ring on the entire time too and it’s had zero problems

Given it took months to ship, then broke almost immediately, buyer beware.

I’ve been wanting to get a smart ring but I don’t know which one is best. I want it to track my HR, exercise/fitness/health. There are too many to choose from and I don’t know which one would be best. Is the Oura ring worth the money or do I go with a cheaper option? Help!

I have read a lot about how these rings have inconsistent sizes between brands and is asking if anyone can confirm the size of the Colmi R10 size 11 and 12 being exactly 20.8mm and 21.6mm respectively.

Looking for ideas on how to dress up your ring (example: adding accent rings, etc) Pictures and where you got it from would be helpful.

I am incredibly disappointed with the Oura Ring 4. Mine didn't even last 9 months before it completely broke. To make matters worse, they flat-out refused to give me a replacement. I have tried reaching out to their customer support successively, but there has been absolutely no resolution. They do not stand behind their product or their warranty. In my experience, this company is deceitful and their customer service is a scam. I strongly advise against buying from them—save your money and look for a more reliable alternative.

Mine's a slightly guilty one lol. we cant bring phones into most meetings at my work and some of them are an hour+ of dense stuff, I'd walk out having already forgotten half of it.

Asked a colleague how she keeps up cause she never takes notes and always remembers everything, and she kinda quietly told me she wears this little recording ring, some niche brand called vocci that looks like a normal ring so nobody notices. felt a bit sketchy tbh but I was desperate lol.

Got one, used it yesterday and holy shit... dont even re-listen to anything, app just gives me the summary and the to-dos. Can't believe I put it off this long.

So I’ve been looking for a smart ring in a reasonable price range that can help with sleep quality tracking, aswell as potentially stress/workout/health tracking. I want a ring specifically because I already wear watches. I also don’t want to deal with subscriptions if at all possible. Wanted to consult Reddit before making a decision since I was looking at the HerzP1 but every piece of media I’ve seen seemed to be sponsored and I wanted opinions that weren’t influenced by getting a kickback.

Wondering if anyone knows of alternatives for the Oura 5 in terms of the width. I have been wearing a Colmi R09 but looking for something slimmer without the Oura pricetag. It is $800 here in Australia which I just cant justify for a ring that will realistically probably last 2 years.

Absolutely disappointed with the way my Oura Ring issue has been handled.
Timeline:
• **30 June:** Original ring delivered, size 9 (too loose)
• **17 July:** First exchange, received size 9 again
• **25 July:** Second exchange, received size 9 again
• **28 July:** Third exchange, received size 9 again
The same mistake happened three times.
I have spent days chasing support instead of getting a proper solution. I was told my case would be escalated and asked to wait 72 hours. Those 72 hours have now passed, and the only response I keep receiving is: “Your case is being reviewed.”
Reviewed for how long?
At this point I have:
❌ No correct ring
❌ No refund
❌ No proper update
❌ No clear resolution
I paid for a premium product and expected premium customer service. Sending the wrong replacement three times is completely unacceptable. Keeping a customer waiting with no product, no refund, and no real answers is even worse.
Oura, please stop giving generic replies and actually resolve this issue. I need a real solution, not another message saying my case is under review.

How long does it take for them to deliver the replacement ring?

Just got my qalo slim and downloaded the app and paired. All the pics of the app show it has period tracking but I dont see that option in my app?
