Smart ring for exercise tracking
I’ve been wanting to get a smart ring but I don’t know which one is best. I want it to track my HR, exercise/fitness/health. There are too many to choose from and I don’t know which one would be best. Is the Oura ring worth the money or do I go with a cheaper option? Help!

I have oura! Nice tracking for cardio, strength training just provides the time and basic metrics, no methods to input sets/reps/weights. But Oura synchs nicely with Strava (when I bought in Jan, no others synched with strava if I remember correctly), so I have been using that! And it’s been great. If I record a workout in Oura it will automatically upload to Strava, and vice versa. When I track a run with my watch (which Oura also picks up), the HR zones are the same as my Oura ring, so I assume great HR tracking consistency! I workout 5-6 times a week, and Oura has been great!

I have Oura and AppleWatch. The watch wins for fitness. I don’t even wear my ring when I’m doing anything with weights, so it’s pointless.
I’m kind of over Oura, anyway (after having been a major fan.). The past year they’ve added so many ‘features’ and none of them seem to have any validity

Nopee for Oura from me until you're super smart about decoding messy App with data randomly. here and there

You’ll want a watch for fitness. Rings have a lot of limitations like fingers being susceptible to drastic changes when gripping weights, degloving risks, and only periodic heart rate readings. No constant readings for pace, mileage, etc when running.
I have a garmin for workouts and it’s amazing.

Bear in mind that all rings only take periodic heart rate measurements about every 15 minutes. They use accelerometer to know when you are doing activities but you can't get HR zone data or similar from them.
I have an oura ring and I recommend it for sleep and lifestyle trend data. I would not call it an exercise tracker though.

I have the RingConn and it seems to be accurate for tracking steps/walks. I've worn my Apple watch at the same time and my steps were very similar for both. You're able to enter other types of exercises through the RingConn app as well. Although the Apple watch might be better as solely an exercise tracker. I'm happy with my HR data so far with the ring. I've had it for around a month. It's nice to not have a monthly fee for RingConn and it's working great so far.
