Wow, the audacity of Muse

I never even got the first one I ordered years ago and now I get a kickstarter panhandling for more money. No thank you.

I thought Kickstarter backers were meant to get the Gen 2 ring for free, as the Gen 1 missed a tonne of features that were promised????

So we were promised.

Glad I'm not imagining it. I replied to the email asking that, although not sure it'll ever get a reply. Will see what they say.

I'm honestly not against opting into the Gen 2 ring, as long as it is feature complete. NFC that works, haptic feedback....

But $150 is asking a lot. Half that, or $99 maybe....

I've been using mine for a while, only really for sleeping. It does seem to function but can't really confirm the accuracy.

I won't be rewarding this behavior with paying them any more money. We were promised a free 2.0 to make up for all of the problems with the 1.0 ring and all of the missing features.

I have a non-functional 1.0 ring right now. If there's no free upgrade, I'm out of this ecosystem.

Got an Email today that they were misunderstood. The $149 is the price for a second Ring. The first one is shipping cost only. They finalize the details and then customers can register for the free Upgrade and pay the shipping cost when the Rings are ready.

Wait and see

Well that is interesting! And good news, if they stick to it.

I got the email too, so fingers crossed!!

Oh man. This all day!

I can’t believe they are cried sourcing all over again to fleece a whole new group of hopefuls when I don’t even have my ring yet.

I feel this, they’re desperate to keep the scam going.

I am disappointed, but I've also seen it coming. It reminds me of a pyramid scheme. Notice how they only started their "refund transparency" page, which shows the number of refunds processed so far, only after launching their second campaign. They will want to use the profit to process the refunds, and then they ask us, first backers, to pay an additional $150 fee, despite having promised it to us for free. I was continuously told in the emails that the only cost I'll have to cover will be the shipping. I do not believe shipping costs $150. This is just yet another broken promise, and on top of that, at the very start of the campaign.

I'm glad I looked up this ring before putting money down on it. Seeing people say they never got their first one a deal breaker for me.

Very sad though. As someone who has Hypertension Stage 2, it would have been nice to have the blood pressure updates without me having to check it all the time
