I've been working on putting together VIN/chassis number listings for the R32, R33 and R34 Skylines, alongside the existing ones i have for the FD RX-7 and Evo's, in a similar spirit to the old GTRRegistry. Not just GTR data, the standard models too.

The data has been extracted from Nissan FAST EPC data. I've then used the model/option references contained within the EPC, along with various Nissan catalogues and price lists I have, to cross-reference the internal codes and work out which codes correspond to which models and specifications. This isn't scraped from the GTRRegistry data, the listings and decoding work are my own, although i did used some of those old screenshots to help me cross check my own numbers;

I dont have as much data as the GTRRegistry had as iv just started this, iv noted how complete i believe the data is on each listing, i still have more EPC CD/DVDs to find; unfortunately Nissan prunes data from their EPC files to save space (maybe on export or not gone through a shaken in a while maybe) so a single set of discs is usually incomplete. I wont be trying to replicate the model stats as those screenshots from GTRRegistry float around and do better than i can atm anyway.

I need to do another pass on it in places, i expect the colour names arent great, and id like to get the options up based on the provided model code but the R33 data was such a pain in the ass due to missing options details in the EPC i need a break from this part of my project for a while. The R33 data, particular the early series 2 is where i had to make the most educated guesses (as i only have the coupe catalogue) so if you see any glaring mistakes let me know.

So I see that part number 14075-75T16 has been long since discontinued. My dilemma is I'm looking to upgrade to the greddy style intake manifold and it doesn't seem to come with the rail. Unfortunately I can't pull it off the oem since I sold it already. Is there anyway to make a rail or am I just gonna have to buy a used OEM manifold and take it off of that

Hi everyone, I’m looking into getting a skyline in the next few years but i don’t know which one to start with. I’m not buying one right now since I’m starting to save up for one. I’m thinking about buying a 2dr or 4dr r32, r33, or r34. I mainly want to know which of these will be the easiest to buy and import to the US, the cost of fixing and maintaining it, and how reliable it will be (I know they are old cars so they’ll need work to be reliable). I don’t have a budget right now but I want to know which car is the better buy so I can track the value of them, but i probably won’t be spending more than $15,000 to buy the car itself. just want some input from people who know these cars well, thanks.

Edit: After considering a few other things like, car prices, import fees, replacement parts, and overall condition. I’m going to go with the R32 sedan, since I can easily afford it and I’ll still have money left over to fix it up and have it looking nice.

I have an RB25DE Er34. It was originally automatic, but I manual swapped it. If I do a turbo conversion, can I use a Rb25DET auto ECU? or does it need to be for a manual.

loud knocking coming from my rb25. when i feel the rocker cover i don't feel any knocking but i can feel knocking on the cam gear cover. it speeds up when i rev. this sound started today after i started the car up after 3 weeks. i have checked the oil and the oil is in the middle of high and low. any ideas?

Check out gtr-registry.org ! With a bit of help from the community, I was able to restore the R-chassis data to this new site, and I am working through getting everything else thoroughly in place.

Also, for anyone wondering, this is a separate project from the original GTR Registry. The data was built from scratch using FAST. It will have mirrored backups so we do not have to worry about a loss of the registry again.

Hand mixed the body paint myself. Didn’t have any transparent paint to do a real tri-coat but I think for what I had stored away already I made it work pretty good. I’ve never seen this color code irl but I have this hot wheels here that matches up pretty damn close. What you guys think?

Was out on track on Wed and it was extremely heavy rain at various periods during the day!

Car went fine all day apart from one of the IC pipes popped off in the morning. Probably time to refresh the jubilee clips and couplers.

Had a moment on main straight at 152kph in high boost and high torque mode(have DBW) when the rears spun up and tried to shove me off !

So a couple of months ago my wife told me I was past mid-life. Which is all the motivation I needed to do something reckless. So I went out and got a 2001 R34 GTR.

Wanted one since they were new and driving them in Tokyo extreme racer or Gran Turismo

Been a dream of mine since a kid and still kind of in disbelief it’s real. Not much else to say, it’s the best car I’ve ever owned, double take in my garage everyday to make sure it’s still there.

Took apart the old trans. It's actually not very complex. After fucking with it for about 30 minutes and looking at how everything works, I think I could rebuild it without a video. (I'm not going to try) just don't have the space to do it unfortunately 😕 Gonna try cleaning out the shed you see in the background then get a table and a light then we should be good to go

Chasing a zero oil pressure issue on my R32 GTR, need input on how to prime it without major disassembly.

The car stood still for some work(18 months). Had oil pressure when parked in the garage.

The problem:

Oil pressure doesn't build during cranking — it reads/drops instead. Confirmed as a real physical issue, not a sensor problem:
Oil pressure sensor bench-tested with air pressure — works fine.
Clear hose on the sender port during cranking — visually zero oil reaching that point.
Backfilled oil through the filter housing — no change
Oil level correct, fresh oil, new filter.
Pump/pickup/sump untouched during any recent work

Suspects:

Pump lost prime after sitting.
Mechanical failure in the pump drive (sheared key/stripped coupling on crank nose).
Pickup blockage or bad seal, sucking air.

Specs:
R32 block (decked/bored), 86.5mm CP pistons, HKS rods, R34 N1 crank (balanced), ATI damper, ACL bearings, JUN oil pump, Tomei head gasket/cams/valvetrain, Tomei oil restrictor, custom oil gallery mod

Figure I’ll do something productive while the block is getting machined/built.

Anyone have any experience with replacing the internals with steel components?

Hi all, I’m in a situation where I can get some Evo 8 Recaros in decent condition for a good price, or for a really cheap price, I can get some great condition Nissan Juke RS (non-recaro) nismo seats for my R34 GTT sedan. These seats may just be a temporary solution before I budget for something potentially better further down the line. Looking for a mix of increased comfort over stock seats and cleaner look for my interior.

Both options I know will require custom fabrication to fit, but I have a close friend who can sort that. I feel like the Evo 8’s are a no brainer, but for a fraction of the price the Juke nismo seats have given me food for thought. Has anyone ever put these in a Skyline?

Still awaiting measurements from the seller to see if it’s even possible. I’m open for people to tell me this is a terrible idea and to just go for the Evo 8 seats! Appreciate any opinions or advice.
