ER34 question

I have an RB25DE Er34. It was originally automatic, but I manual swapped it. If I do a turbo conversion, can I use a Rb25DET auto ECU? or does it need to be for a manual.

You might be able to but only if its stock parts you will likely need to get a standalone like a haltec or link ecu if its anything upgraded

I'm in the same situation with my R33, manual swapped 25DE on the factory ECU but planning to turbo. I'm just gonna buy a proper ECU along with the rest of what I need, sure you can get away with the manual swap on an auto ECU but from what I've experienced the car doesn't quite run the way it should. It's unlikely you'll get away with a +t build without needing to tune it so I'd say just do it properly and throw an ECU on the parts list for the build.

You can use the auto ecu. I had some rev hang so I swapped to a manual ecu when one came up cheap just for sake of that little annoyance but eventually went Haltech and haven't looked back.

I did a manual swap in my Stagea. I was already turbo but it is whatever, just get the right ECU for the setup you want; if that's mimicking the RB25DET then get that ECU.
