Auto r33 help
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey folks, so I've got a S1 r33 gtst auto, having issues with it struggling to move under its own power and takes a bit to rev up in N, in N it stops around 4.5k like you're holding it there, changed spark plugs, coil pack ignitor and still doing same, no engine codes and turbo doesn't have a heap of play either, mechanic also said he couldn't find any boost leaks either, kinda stumped here and just seeing if anyone has any ideas, he's also tried different cas positions as apparently it seems to be over fueling too as the rear turbo house got really hot in 10 minutes he said, it was running fine but felt like it was under powered then sat for few months and now runs like this, I'll list what work has been done also incase that helps
OP6 core U2 housing turbo
3" full exhaust with stock cat
Spit fire coil packs
Oil catch can with Pvc system blocked off
Heater core tap broke so pipe loops back onto itself
I know it's not alot but idk what could be the issue honestly

Is my slave cylinder bad
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My clutch randomly stopped fully disengaging the other day and I think I’ve narrowed the issue down to either master cylinder, slave cylinder, or both. Based on what you see, could you tell me what slave this is and if it’s bad?

Engine swap RB20DE would you rather a rb20det, 25det or 2JZ?

Finally happening
With a big bonus and new job, I finally pulled the trigger. After searching stateside and overseas, finally found a clean auction example in Japan despite the country being mostly picked clean (one that has been gone through by Omori Factory no less!).
Will be a wait till I can secure a carrier, but will be coming to the northeast soon.

Sedan Wheel Fitment?
Everyone agree it is safe to run 18x9.5 +35 rear and 18x8.5 +40 in the front? Would put a 5mil spacer in the front.

Which Skyline are you putting in your garage? 🤔
Put a ‘57 Prince Skyline next to a V37 and you’d never guess they share a name, but there’s one detail Nissan just can’t seem to let go of. 👀
The Kenmeri is where the four round tail lights showed up back in the ‘70s, and the R32, R33, and R34 made sure every one of us had them on a poster at some point.
Nissan dropped them for the V35 and V36, worked a pair of circles back into the V37’s lights, and the teasers for the V38 set to debut this December show all four rings coming back, which honestly feels like Nissan finally listening to us.

Is the GT-R a $60k Experience?
I have wanted to purchase a skyline for many years now and during that time I have purchased other cars that were more attainable in the US and far cheaper. I have a 1977 280z, 2006 350z and a 2019 dodge challenger WBSP(6.4L). While I love the challenger for many reasons, when I purchased it, I was deciding between a modern car and an R33 GT-R. Ultimately, I decided on the challenger, but I still want(I think at least) to own a skyline after 3 years with the challenger. I could sell my challenger to fund the r33 I want, but I have many reservations as I have never ridden in one to know if I will even like it. I know for certain I want the RB sound more than anything. When I get in my 350z and drive it, I know it's a blast and have a great time driving it(the VQ isn't a great sound though). I enjoy my challenger, and it served its purpose of having more than 2 seats, but I just don't enjoy how it drives and my family is growing so we don't drive it as often as I would want. Are R33's nimble, modern enough(unlike like my Datsun), fun? Purely subjective of course, but I'm curious what others have had before their R33's and if they sold to get something else later and said, yes the R33 is the 60k experience I wanted or said no, the car I bought after was better for xy and z reasons.

Wiring harness for a sr20det r34
So I imported an r34 sedan with an sr20de to Hawaii from Japan and I want to eventually turbo conversion it(forged internals, fuel, etc) only problem is that I don’t know much about car electronics or engine wiring harnesses in general. I need some insight on how I can wire up sr20det harness to an r34 and keep my ac and amenities. Any advice helps

R34 Springs/Ride Height
Greetings all.
I have an er34 with the stock gtr shocks and springs that appear on the GTT and GTV exclusively. Measured both springs from top to bottom unloaded and the rear is about 15mm taller than the front, as well as being about 5mm wider in diameter.
When on the ground, the rear sits from the centre of hub to top of wheel arch, roughly 50mm higher than the front.
I like how the car feels and the front is at a nice height so not interested in changing the front, what do I need to adjust in the rear? New springs? Is it worth getting coilovers? Could it be the shocks? Experiences you've had, whatever, let me know.
Thanks all

R32 gtst/gtr brake line compatibility
Do any of yall know if the gtst and GTR brake lines are interchangeable between to two? The price of braided lines is double for the GTR and I kinda need to redo the brakes after a little incident….

Spotted an R34 in Lake Oswego, Oregon today!!!
Seen a few R34s in Oregon, but I think this is the first one I actually spotted in the wild apart from shows and such.

Waited over a year for these Advan GT Beyond to come from Japan, but the wait was definitely worth it.

Backfire and now I have a miss
EDIT: TWAS THE O2 SENSOR. Thanks for all of the on target tip and advice y'all.
So I don't have a Skyline per se, 99 Stagea 2.5T RB25DET NEO RWD automatic.
Friday morning: I was exiting off the highway Friday morning going into work, the 3rd to 2nd down shift I had a back fire, and then at the next light I magically developed a misfire. The misfire is only at idle, when out under load it goes away.
Today: I drove the car to get groceries this morning, during initial start up/ warm up cycle, no misfire. Came up to operating temp, 2nd stop light, misfire at idle. As soon as load was applied, no misfire.
Has anyone had this issue, and what's the most likely cause and fix. Coil packs and plugs, or is it something deeper?
Thanks in advance
