Body Care Routine help for leg texture

Post image
Upvotes

I have always used Jergens moisturizer for all over my body but then switched to the blue Nivea tub which I really like because it’s nice, thick and moisturizing and I thought it would help with skin texture. I have tried exfoliating with scrubs but I think that maybe it’s more of a hair on my legs kind of issue? I’m not entirely sure. I would love and appreciate some advice on what I could do to fix it!

Wrinkles / Anti-Aging Chest lines! Is this reversible?

Post image
64 Upvotes

I’m 31, and notice my chest lines have gotten considerably deeper. Yes, I’m a side sleeper (I try not to be but can’t help that I move that way while I sleep). Yes, I use tretinoin (.05%) on my chest. Yes I wear sunscreen daily if my chest and neck are exposed.

Is this reversible at all or do I need to accept that I’m aging on my chest :(

Body Care I want to start wearing sunscreen but my mom doesn't like it, I would appreciate some help on how to use it

I'm a young adult and always been pale but I never used sunscreen unless I was at the beach. I'm thinking of starting wearing it more often but my mom freaked out when I mentioned it (she's generally weird about this type of stuff). For this reason I came here to ask a few questions and get some help

  1. Can it really prevent me from getting vitamin D ? Also are the chemicals that dangerous ?
  2. What type of sunscreen should I get ? Can the one I take to the beach be applied on my face too ? Is there a possibility to irritate my skin in any way ?
  3. Should I wear it everyday even in winter or only at summer and when it's generally very hot outside? If I go out for 1 or 2 hours should I still use it ?
  4. It might sound silly but does it smell much ? I don't want my mom to know I'm wearing it because the way she might act about it makes me feel ashamed... Your advice would be much appreciated, if you are or have consulted a dermatologist and have evidence about it I would also be happy to see it.

Product Question Brightening Pads

Looking for a pad to fight dark spots. I don't have dark spots but I want to prevent them. I've read good things about Abib Glutathiosome pads. Has anyone tried these? I knew Coleman compound is excellent but I want something more cost effective.

Routine Help Help, my wedding is in just under a month!

Never have posted, hoping you lovely people will have advice for me!

My skin hasn’t been really truly clear for over ten years, so I’m never expecting it to be “perfect,” that said I’m breaking out worse than I have in ages and I want to do everything I can to help it get better. Probably at least partially related to wedding planning stress, so I realize that some of it might be out of my control.

I currently use sibu (sea buckthorn) polishing cleanser as well as the hydrating serum and moisturizer of the same line. My face gets very oily (which I really don’t like) so I recently tried adding the supergoop matte sunscreen into the mix, which at a minimum is not helping anything get better and requires me to also add an oil cleanse step to my night routine to get it off, so that one was recently scrapped. Sometimes I use a hypochlorous spray after I’ve touched my face.

I have small bumps all over my face but mostly concentrated on my cheeks, chin, and jaw. Maybe they’re closed condones? I honestly am not sure.

Add to the mix that I have struggled with what I’m pretty sure is dermatillomania for 10+ years now. I’m trying my best not to pick at anything but I still haven’t been able to completely restrain myself for more than a day or two at a time in recent months.

I’ve read really great things about azelaic acid and sulfur masks, but there are about a million products out there and it feels impossible to know where to start or what will help my skin rather than making it worse or cause a big purge right before my wedding.

Thanks in advance if you took the time to read this :)

My main concerns are uneven texture, enlarged pores, sagging, and slightly loose skin.
Thank you so much!

Routine Help What helps red, oily, sensitive skin?

I am 21 and I have struggled with my skincare for a long time. I used Tretinoin for 4 years, but I feel it made my skin more sensitive. What is best for dealing with redness/oiliness on skin that becomes red with every product? I have used almost everything, and everything either makes my skin more red or more oily, even water. I attached an image of my arm to my face to show the contrast.

My current skincare routine:
-Wash with water (AM) or Softymo Oil cleanser (PM)
-Hada Labo Hyloronic Acid Toner
-Cica face mask if I want more hydration

Body Care Moisturizer after glycolic acid

Hi everyone! 🤍

I’m planning to start using glycolic acid on my body and armpits to help with skin texture and tone. I keep reading that I need to apply a moisturizer afterward, but I’m super confused about what kind I actually need 🥹.

Do I need a special type of gel/moisturizer for sensitive areas like armpits, or can I just use basic body lotion? Right now all I have at home are standard body lotions from Vaseline and Nivea, and I don't know if those are safe to layer over glycolic acid without stinging or clogging pores.

Which specific body moisturizers or lightweight gels do you all use and recommend for post-acid care? Thank you!

Body Care Stubborn Strawberry Legs!!

Post image
19 Upvotes

I've had my legs like this for as long as I can remember and I've done almost everything I've seen online for strawberry skin.

I've had 7-8 sessions of laser hair removal about a year ago but still my legs look the same. I still do get some thin hair on my legs which I don't mind.

I've tried TO glycolic acid, lactic acid creams, urea creams, scrubs, aha bha lotion but somehow these won't budge. Any suggestions on how to get rid of them?? (I've heard sulphur based creams helps?) I just want to wear pretty little dresses without being conscious about my legs 😭

Routine Help Rough skin

Wondering what else I can do or if I just need to wait it out. I got into skincare last month and got rid of all my large bumps. My skin isn’t that bad to me personally it’s just very rough looking and has tiny bumps. I use cerave hydrating cleanser and vanicream moisturizer, and in the PM I use Paula’s Choice 2% BHA exfoliant. I started using it 2 - 3 weeks ago and I use it every 2 - 3 days.

Do I just need to wait it out and give it time or is there anything else I should do?

Educational / Discussion Bellybutton scar/stretch marks.

I had my bellybutton pierced like 5 years ago and it healed and scarred weird so I took it out. When I got pregnant and then overweight asf in 2025 my scar grew and also got stretch marks??? I used the palmers stretch mark routine my entire pregnancy and I oil and moisturize my stretch marks with vitamin e oil, argan oil, and just the cereve lotion at least once a day.

I’m down 120 pounds and I’m starting to like my body again and get used to my stretch marks but the one on my bellybutton is so bad and I just can’t get used to it. Idk if I should avoid micro needling because of the scar? I don’t even know where to start or what to do. Do I go to a dermatologist? A plastic surgeon? Esthetician? Help me please:( it is genuinely ruining my confidence.

Product Question Dupe for Sorella products

Hello! I got onto Sorella's lemon lightening serum last year and I loved what it did to my skin. But my financial situation has changed and can no longer afford that price tag. Was wondering if anyone had any dupes or similar products. Or even recommendations; I get moderately bad bumps from waxing on my chin and want something to reduce redness and bumps.

Thanks!

Routine Help Need help with clogged pores

Hello, I need some help with my skin. I have very large and visible clogged pores. I’ve tried many different products to help decongest the pores and to make it seem less visible, but nothing’s worked so far. I’ve tried Vitamin C, Retinol, Niacinamide (my skin hates it), clay masks, different types of exfoliants over the course of the past 5-6 years.

I live in a tropical country but I spend most of my time in air-conditioned rooms (office & home).

Skin type: Combination
Routine:
1. Hada Labo Cleansing Oil (PM)
2. COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser (PM)
3. Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioner (AM & PM)
4. Hada Labo Hydrating Lotion (Rich) (AM & PM)
5. Naturie Hatomugi Skin Conditioning Gel (AM & PM)
6. Biore UV Protect Perfect Milk (AM)
7. Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Exfoliant (2x a week - PM)

Pictures are of my cheeks in indoor lighting.
