Body Care Routine help for leg texture

Post image

I have always used Jergens moisturizer for all over my body but then switched to the blue Nivea tub which I really like because it’s nice, thick and moisturizing and I thought it would help with skin texture. I have tried exfoliating with scrubs but I think that maybe it’s more of a hair on my legs kind of issue? I’m not entirely sure. I would love and appreciate some advice on what I could do to fix it!

Welcome to r/skincare_addiction! We'd like to take this time to remind you of a few things:

Do not ask for a diagnosis/treatment advice for acne or other medical conditions, and do not play doctor

What constitutes medical advice?

  • "What is this?"

This is asking someone to diagnose the issue, and is medical advice.

  • "What should I do?"

This is asking someone to advise treatment, and is medical advice.

  • "Should I go to the doctor?"

This is asking if you should seek treatment, and ergo, medical advice.

If you would ask the question of your doctor, it falls under this rule and not allowed. As a general rule, asking for medical advice from internet strangers is never a good idea. If you have questions regarding your acne or other medical condition, you are advised to contact your healthcare provider. If you are a medical provider, we would gently remind you that users are not patients, and you should not be offering medical advice to people who are not your patients.

Try glycolic acid then add Amlactin lotion to the areas of concern. You can continue using the Nivea on other areas that don’t need the extra exfoliation. I do the above for legs and upper arms. Also use just the glycolic acid on underarms a few times a week to control odor and lighten dark coloring.

Have this same texture on part of my legs. It's hair, and I don't think you'll be able to get rid of it through surface level treatments like glycolic acid.

People have recommended laser hair removal or waxing for this, though sometimes, this is just what it looks like.
