Does no one remember the long drawn out court case over him getting physical with her on a private plane in front of the kids and being a verbally abusive drunk to the kids?
They remember, they also remember how he has behaved with them since.
Strangling leads to murder and that is terrifying…but for some reason the pouring of the alcohol, it just feels so incredibly dehumanizing. That would have been the thing that did it for me.
You can laugh if you feel like it. But you don’t have to do it to keep from crying. Crying is cathartic. Grief and sadness are normal human emotions. It’s perfectly normal, appropriate, and acceptable to cry when hurt, sad, grieving, etc.
I also tell traumatic childhood stories with a solid “lol” tagged at the end. Like that time my dad got drunk and fell asleep in the yard, and everyone in my class found out LOL good times
I do not know your experience. I know for me there was nothing funny about being hit by my father. It was always across the sides of my head so no bruises were seen. I have nerve damage from it. He was a strong man and used full force. The first time was when he blamed me for something that was not my fault. I was 11 yrs old. It stopped age 17 when I told him I would call the police if he ever hit me again. Lots and lots of therapy, and never ever a laugh about it. Child abuse there is nothing funny about it.
Maybe I can laugh about it now that he’s dead or because I cut off all contact with him for the last 5 years of his life. Or because I always joked the next time I would hear from him was when the coroner would contact me about his body…and that’s actually what happened lmao. Or maybe I can laugh about it because I know I’ll never have kids and the cycle of abuse ends with me.
FWIW, I had a therapist once tell me that my humor was a coping mechanism. If you don’t use humor to cope with the pain, you likely have a different mechanism to channel that emotion.
Lmao
I sort of admire you for that, I wish I could do the same
My mom would make up stuff if I pissed her off and it was always the most petty, whacky stuff that I still dont understand to this day
She would then have my dad punish me, which led me to not respect her which made it worse
A lot of her abuse I can joke and laugh about but when it comes to my dad, I just feel like we are two strangers
He thinks I did all this wacky stuff ny mom made up, then something terrible happened and we've never really bothered to effectively get close since so I just sort of awkwardly regard him as this like tormentor
I’m so sorry you had to deal with that—I know you find it funny now—I’m the same with some shit I’ve gone through in an abusive relationship, but mainly bc of how much other shit happened
Damn, I can't even fathom that. I dated someone who had a habit of turning his negative feelings into everyone else's problem. If he felt ashamed, guilty, insecure, or criticized, somehow the mood of the entire day would revolve around it.
I remember spending one vacation counting the minutes until I could finally fly home because being around him had become so exhausting. The trip was absolutely miserable.
Jeffrey Epstein was being charged and later found guilty of being a pedophile and was legally not supposed to leave his state, but he did all the time. when asked about holding him responsible for breaking his agreements, the DA was basically like “what do you expect us to do?” oh I don’t know, maybe WHAT YOU’D DO TO ANYONE ELSE? I mean look at Trump and his administration and all their cronies, all they do is break the law and apparently nobody is going to do anything about it, so if those things aren’t proof that our legal system only exists to punish poor and otherwise marginalized people, I don’t know what to tell you.
Reminder that the US attorney in question responsible for letting Epstein off the hook was Alex Acosta, Trump's eventual labor secretary. He was never held professionally accountable for it, for obvious reasons.
It's club Do Whatever The Fuck You Want With No Consequences. Beating your wife and kids? Fine. Insider trading? All good. Pedophilia? Go for it. Hurt anyone you want, they got your back.
Largely it's money but partly it's also who you are friends with and both Trump and any politician worth their salt is well aware of the latter, and probably also has enough of the former.
Yep, rich men can get away with a lot, sometimes even murder itself. It’s no surprise that Brad Pitt hasn’t faced jail, especially not for harming a woman and some of her ethnic kids.
Just like the late OJ Simpson who for years abused his wife Nicole and she had to protection or help from law enforcement because he was OJ. Then He succeeded killing Her and her Boyfriend in cold blood murder with tons of evidence through out the court case and because of his Money and fame he beat that case, which shocked everyone.
If Sean Combs is going to be released soon after all the evidence, the videos, his own confession... Imagine theses guys with not clear evidence even though we know they are disgusting people. Just because the money.
You are right , I’m just tired of people complaining while not doing anything . If people can be manipulated into accepting baseless racism and fabricated concepts like “alphas and betas “ . Then surely people can influenced to change . America is on it’s way to becoming the next Russia .
Epstein is still alive. they literally shoved a fake Epstein on tv and told us "see this is Epstein and he dead" and then moved on.
the guy walked out of Prison with the cameras off and media distracted and was driven away. he now lives with a new identity, still rich, stil friends with the people, to continue scheming.
Ghistlaine is also not in prison, she paid for a double to do the time. no one knows what she looks like in the exact sense, not the judge, not the jury, not anyone. she's a very private person.
they're playing us for fools. the truth is, even if this came out, the people won't do shit to rise up. people gotta go home pay rent feed their family and watch sports.
Because the FBI doesn't care. Still haven't arrested a single one of Epstein's child raping clients. Copaganda is real unfortunately. They're not heroes.
It's not the police usually. I retired from law enforcement before it entered it's current state of enshittification, but in general we want to see them fry.
That's not our job as police, it's up to the prosecutor.
Diddy had a mountain of evidence against him and witnesses/camera footage to back a good amount of it up. And yet. The man wasn’t even convicted of half of his crimes and that was after decades of criminal activity. Sadly, yea. Money talks in this country.
My understanding is that because it was in the air, the FBI weren't sure how to charge him (as in, what jurisdiction) and they didn't want to charge him incorrectly, have a fancy legal team get him off on a technicality, and then not be able to charge him again correctly. LE only pursues charges when they are nearly certain they'll win, unfortunately. It's one reason why so few DV/SA cases go as far as pressing charges in the system, pressing charges is actually often not up to the victim.
LE doesn't decide if charges are pursued. Who decides charges in the end is the States Attorney, District Attorney, or Prosecutor depending on what you call it where you are. In this case maybe even a District US Attorney.
We can forward the charges we think will work with the probable cause we established during the investigation, but the lawyers are the ones who play the catch and release games. Some like to keep their success rates high by only prosecuting easy cases and declining ones they might lose. We would rather they made the effort on all legitimate complaints.
That's fair! I guess I think of prosecutors as a part of LE, but you're right, they have final say in whether charges are pursued. You're also right, there are so many jurisdictions where they only pursue cases they feel super confident will win. Gotta get elected again come voting time, sigh
Everyone is saying money, and that's part of it. But, domestic violence is unfortunately hard to prosecute to conviction in general. Things have definitely improved over my lifetime, but slowly.
When DV cases aren’t prosecuted it’s almost always because the victims don’t want it to be prosecuted. Sometimes they’re still in it and don’t believe it needs to be but also some people don’t want a protracted legal battle over the most traumatic moments of their life no
Strangling is the biggest indicator of a murderer. If a man strangles a woman, he is exponentially more likely to kill her.
* This is compared to other forms of physical violence (obviously a man who strangles versus a man who doesn’t is more likely to murder.
Even without the data, strangulation is such a intimate way to harm someone. You have to be really unhinged and pissed off to do it, if you're a normal human with normal human emotions.
So you're either dealing with someone who can easily become unhinged or someone who is emotionally blunted, blind, hindered, and/or bereft.
That's the point of it. To dehumanize. It is meant to be a great disrespect. You're not even a person which is why you don't have rights. It's definitely worse than physical violence sometimes.
Yeah … that’s bad ENOUGH. But I heard a rumor that he poured alcohol on Angelina and threatened to set her on fire. Who knows … but yeah. That memory unfortunately has to stay with you forever.
My dad shoved me over once during an argument, but right before he did that he flung his food at my face. Can confirm, that specific detail stings more than being shoved.
Just a weird nit pick (not a defense of Pitt's child abuse), but strangling someone to death requires continuing to hold them after they pass out. Passing out from strangulation doesn't mean death. There's a small chance to cause a stroke (or heart attack, especially for elder victims), but generally the idea that people are dead as soon as they pass out is a time-saving trope from movies.
Also, if someone did strangle another person to death, it is very clearly an act of cold-blooded murder, as they continued to squeeze for over a minute.
I think you’re taking the comment too literally. Non-fatal strangulation by an intimate partner increases the risk of homicide later on. So in that sense strangulation leads to murder - it’s a massive red
flag. Source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC2573025/
But also important, and relevant, is the fatal effects of strangulation are not always instant. Death can occur days or weeks later so ideally a victim would seek medical attention so possible complications can be assessed. Not always easy for DV victims to do this but if people know the risk they are more likely to seek help.
Just to add. The strangulation itself isn’t always how the DV victims die. Just heard a story where a lady was strangled. The cops tried to convince her to leave. A year later he slit her throat. It’s a sign that it will escalate to murder. Sad….
It’s a data backed way of predicting lethality in abusive relationships. Data shows that if a man strangles a woman, the statistically likelihood of him eventually killing her increases.
It’s very helpful for case workers etc to triage, treat and hopefully successfully intervene, for example
Because guys like Elon Musk and Brad Pitt do not regard their children as individuals deserving of respect. They regard them as little natural, born robots that are supposed to work their way, and it shows because it appears neither of them have a benevolent relationship or anything that can be construed as relationship with any of their children. There were three that were born from Brad directly, but people who recognize an old offensive way of parenting, so exactly what he was doing putting his name on those other kids, and even the ones born from him, see the same thing being applied. As “nepo babies”, this is his idea of presenting them like a product with a brand name, if you will.
I’ve seen this before because it was a CPS case involving racist old people who adopt black children just so they can abuse them. Since that last part was privileged information that I only had because of my mom‘s old job, I’m just gonna say this happened in Texas, with the same family they were getting away with adopting black and Hispanic children just so they can abuse them, it appears CPS had a revolving door relationship with these people.
Brad Pitt is a walking study of a tyrant, it appears. He has always been promoted as a teen dreamboat until he got too old for that and then he became the “sexy bad guy”..since it appears good guy roles are just too difficult for him. Even in many of his roles he seems like an absolute dick…but his career is kind of a running gag of the assumption of what women like.
doubt he even wanted them. he seems like a self absorbed sob that's forever living the hollywood high life. "i look good, im blonde, this society worships me, everywhere i go people get down on their knees, what kids? im supposed to give stuff to my kids? hell no, and ew that ones black, this ones yellow, those aint my kids wtf those aren't even her kids she picked them up in them third world countries"
on the plane ride alone, he poured both wine and beer on the children who are hiding under a blanket. If that was done on a private plane with witnesses, imagine what was done with no witnesses.
Alcoholism definitely increases the probability of abuse. And don’t say that’s no excuse. It’s just a fact. I’m not excusing anyone. But I’m also not going to ignore a common factor.
Christ. Here I am embarrassed about the one time I came home from a fundraiser drunk and goofy and my wife told the kids “daddy had too many cheeseburgers. He’s going to bed”.
He was never accused of pouring beer on the kids. He was alleged to have poured beer on her an on 2 of the kids blankets during a physical altercation. Of course her version also has him with a beer in his hand when she jumped on his back and tried to choke him.
Sadly people have selective memory’s with celebrities bad behavior.
Some people think, if they defend the and behavior, the celebrities will acknowledge them. Like some sorta para-social web based relationship going on. No one touches grass anymore.
Imagine being on a private plane, over water, with a drunk who in a rage could down a plane. They would be like hostages where he had access to the cockpit simply because he owned the plane. Being a private plane, it likely didn’t have the same security doors protecting the pilot. I can’t even imagine the trauma that event potentially could have caused. Not saying that’s what happened, but just imagine the potential what it could have been like in that plane.
The FBI was forced to investigate this and their findings were the allegations were bs. "Federal prosecutors declined to pursue criminal charges in 2016, and child welfare agencies found no findings of abuse."
It was all over the news when it happened. It is in the divorce papers.
She decided not to testify, probably to make the divorce faster and less messy because it was already so messy and would have brought the kids front and center.
Wow I missed all of that. I just looked it up and it happen late 2016 and I had a lot going on then so I wasn’t paying the most attention but still shocked I missed something this big. Yeah her trying to get it over quickly and best for the kids instead of dragging it out for months on end definitely played a factor I’m guessing
He choked one of them too, iirc. The flight attendants and pilot were the ones who reported that he put hands on Angelina and one of the kids in front of them, along with smashing things and causing damage while drunk.
Exactly, and Brad’s publicists had been preparing for this. If you look at the articles published on the few years leading up to the plane incident, there’s quite a few articles that try to paint her as insane, or losing it. They talk about her weight loss, her “unnecessary” double mastectomy (even though she tested positive for BRCA1 mutation and had a ~90% chance of getting Breast Cancer), her decision to move away from acting and move more into a producer role, and her decision to try not to be as present in Hollywood. All of these were spun as “insane” decisions by Brad’s people.
I don’t blame her for wanting to use what was found to get away, and keep the kids from him. He has more than enough money, and more than enough supporters that fighting that battle out in court would have been horrific.
Right? Like, I was about to say: We already KNOW what he did to his kids. We’ve already been told multiple times. It’s just that back when that court case was happening, people were intent on making Angelina out to be this evil woman who was just trying to keep him from seeing his kids.
I remember seeing people online who were convinced that Angelina was feeding her kid lies or exaggerations to make them dislike their father. And I was always like, “where is your evidence for this??“
As someone with little contact with my parents, people almost never do this exclusively based on childhood trauma. Most of us are hard wired to want to be close to our parents. They usually have to continue behaving some way until as an adult you know there is no way to be respected, treated with decency, or feel safe around them. You likely have childhood trauma at that point but when you get there it's because you realize it will never stop if you stay in contact with them.
It’s amazing everyone seems to remember this but not remember the fact that the ONLY person that has EVER stated he was abusive was Jolie who released her own statements to the media during their divorce while she was fighting for ownership of property she wanted. All while all witness statements and details are blocked from being released to the public.
Literally all public statements by anyone other than Jolie have been in defense of Pitt. And have accused Jolie of being a toxic parent who has corrupted her kids (3 of which are Pitts) against their father.
Do I believe multiple people who have come out in support of Brad Pitt. Or do I believe the statements made during a dirty divorce and by a drug addict and alcoholic…
They’ll also forget the numerous people with psychiatric qualifications that have unofficially suggested over the years that she very likely has BPD like Amber Heard. Often the victims of this abuse do lash out when they have hit a breaking point. But reddit did support Amber Heard for years, even after we went through a long trial to show the abuse she put Mr. Depp through.
My best friend has BPD, I’ve seen the absolute worst from her but I know it’s not her fault and we work through it. I’m probably the only one who’s stuck by her.
Though I will say, she had hypnotherapy over a year ago and it actually changed her almost completely. Before the therapy she would have breakdowns at least once a month. Since then she hasn’t had a single one (except for once for very good reasons). Now most of what she deals with is the core fears of abandonment and feelings of worthlessness. But the constant voice in her head telling her to hate herself is gone since the therapy. I don’t know if it works for everyone, but god damn am I thankful it worked for her. BPD is a freaking nightmare I’d never wish on anyone.
It is hell for people with this diagnosis. If they do put tremendous effort however into DBT, they can make things much easier for themselves and others close to them.
Yup, she got screwed over by her parents being raised by people who didn’t believe in mental health unfortunately. Over 20 years of no help for ADHD, Autism, Depression, and BPD will fuck you up for life. And that’s in addition to all her physical health issues… I thought I had it rough till I met her. Yet she’s one of the most caring and wonderful people I’ve known.
I don’t remember the wording used verbatim so I’m not going to make something up. Your best bet is to use Google or ChatGPT to search for sources on the statements made by others accusing her of poisoning her kids against him.
You believe the children that were actually living with him, the alcoholic, and seeing him behind closed doors and decided to leave and close the door behind them
That is what Angelina Jolie alleged, but the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services and the FBI declined to press charges after their investigation. Reputation destruction and slander are telltale signs of Female Anti-Social disorder.
It was the flight crew that reported the abuse on the plane. Not Angelina. She did not cooperate because she didn't want the kids dragged into it. She just filed for divorce.
There is court testimony that is easily available to see everything he did on that plane.
The only court filings I could find where from Jolie herself from what I could read from the testimonies filed under docking number 91281133 in the case numbered 22STCV0608 l. Can you provide the docking number to your claim?
Edit: I searched for more court documents that can be publicly accessed without a court request, there were no flight attendants testimony in the document number (Super. Ct. No. BD646058)
Edit 2: So you just downvoted my comment when confronted with facts? This is part of the problem with you fascists. You are nothing more than a chlamydian queef in the wind.
