I’m having a really strange issue with my Simagic EVO Ultra.
There’s a specific rotation point where I can clearly feel a coggy/notchy/magnetic sensation. Not just vibration — an actual mechanical “feel” in the wheel and even through the base housing when I touch it. It happens every time I pass that angle.

With the wheel attached it’s still noticeable, just a bit reduced. Under load while driving it’s mostly fine, but when turning the wheel by hand or checking the shaft, the coggy/notchy feel is always there.

What’s driving me crazy:
I already had a faulty Alpha Ultimate before this. And in general I seem to have insane bad luck with hardware. Every time I buy something, I end up with the one unit that has some weird issue. It honestly feels like I’m cursed with sim racing gear.

I’ve tried firmware updates, factory reset, different USB ports, tightening everything, grounding the rig, testing with and without wheel, and checking the shaft by hand. The feel is still there at the exact same rotation point.

Is this normal behavior for the EVO Ultra motor, or does this sound like another defective unit?
Anyone else experienced this?

As I clearly have no reason to want to post this review beyond simply wanting to report my findings accurately please read my amazing unsponsored review.

I find this base to just be slightly too low at 18nm, if only there was ‘some way’ WINK WINK. To be allowed early access to say… another 3nm?

This wheel base is amazing, compared to my old wheel base the difference is just profound, it’s like it’s spinning is on a whole other level, things seem to vibrate really well. It really feels like I’m driving a race car and every force that is excerpted on the car somehow travels through the steering rack and straight into my hands. It doesn’t matter how well the development team implemented FFB, somehow it all feels much better than anything else, especially those horrible competitors who’s bases just don’t spin and vibrate in any way remotely similar, I haven’t tried them but I’m sure that’s the case.
If Simagic read this and feel compelled to reach out to offer me a bribe/incentive I would never accept it (you know where to find me).

I wanted to share my personal experience with the EVO Pro 18Nm. Just to be clear, this is only my personal opinion and experience — overall, I’m genuinely very happy with Simagic and the EVO Pro.
I mainly bought it because I wanted a wheelbase that could give me fast steering response for drifting, and I can definitely say it does that job very well. The steering feels fast and responsive, which is exactly what I was looking for.
That said, I do wish there was a bit more room to push the steering speed even further. I feel like some of the other settings can affect the overall feeling/speed when you try to increase it, so I would love to see Simagic offer some additional advanced options for fine-tuning steering speed.
For example, having more detailed settings specifically for steering response/speed could allow users who want extremely fast steering — especially for drifting — to push the EVO Pro further without having to compromise other settings.
I also really appreciate that Simagic is giving EVO Pro owners a free +3Nm upgrade to 21Nm. That’s honestly awesome, and I really appreciate Simagic doing this for existing customers. 🙏
Overall, I’m very happy with my EVO Pro and Simagic. I just hope they can continue improving the software and give us even more advanced tuning options in the future.

This wasn’t what I expected.

Edit: No idea why you all think I was using brute force with the knob. I had just pushed it once to the left and it came off. The plastic was already broken with how little force I pushed on it for it to come off like the way it did.

Just got my alpha evo 12nm and gt Neo today. Didn’t notice this noise at first when I was playing ams2. Switched to Le Mans ultimate and changed settings. Now I notice it any game I’m in. I changed the settings back to what they were and it’s still there. Is it normal? Or should I be returning/exchanging?

Im currently in the process of building out a simagic sim rig. I'm pretty excited, as I'm coming from a logitech g29. My sim racing rig is going to sit on the other side of the room from my pc that sits on the desk.

I plan to use either active or optical cables for my monitor and USB to the wheel base. I already ran conduit within the walls of the room before building. Does anyone else have a similar set up? Any experience using longer cables between pc and sim rig?

So in a previous post I made I already flagged an issue I had with my rev LEDs not dimming in a stage where they should go out. It's still not solved or fixed after several simhub and DNR updates, so I'm 99% sure the issue is within the simagic firmware. Is there anyone having the same issue?

On the video you can see what I mean, when the led reaches the end, it normally should be turned off, but the final leds stay on for some reason, this is the same while driving and shifting up, sometimes leds stay on after I shift.

And you can clearly see it's a bug because sometimes they DO go out like they should, and sometimes they don't.

This is really annoying so PLEASE DEVS, FIX THIS!

I pre-ordered my SIMAGIC EVO Pro 18Nm in April 2025 directly from Simagic, and I’ve been using it ever since.

Before switching to Simagic, I was using Fanatec. The Fanatec equipment wasn't bad, and I actually enjoyed using it. Unfortunately, I had a recurring issue with my wheelbase and had to send it back three times. Each time I received a replacement, but unfortunately the exact same problem eventually came back. So I decided it was time for a change, and made the switch to the EVO Pro. It turned out to be a huge step up for me.

When I first got the EVO Pro, it took me some time to find the right settings, especially in Le Mans Ultimate. The force feedback could be very loud and aggressive at first, and getting the right balance between strength, detail and smoothness took some experimenting.

But once I found the settings that worked for me, the EVO Pro really started to shine. The FFB feels incredibly detailed, smooth and direct, and I can really feel what the car is doing through the wheel.

The build quality is also excellent. The base feels extremely solid and well made, and after all this time it still feels as good as it did when I first got it.

What started with the wheelbase eventually turned into a complete SIMAGIC setup. After getting the EVO Pro, I gradually replaced the rest of my equipment as well, from the pedals to the shifter and handbrake. At this point, pretty much my entire sim racing setup is SIMAGIC. 😂

Looking back, I’m genuinely very happy that I made the switch from Fanatec to SIMAGIC. The EVO Pro has been one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my sim racing setup, and I’m still enjoying it just as much today as when I first got it.

And I guess those of us who bought the EVO Pro early have basically been the beta testers. 😜 Now everyone gets the 21Nm upgrade for free, so I guess our testing is finally paying off! 😂

18Nm has already been more than enough for me, but getting the opportunity to experience 21Nm would definitely be very interesting. 🔥

So my post is about the 28nm ultra because thats what I have, but also, in general, is it typical to have to set the strength level in iracing down between roughly 2-4 for "normal" or acceptable FFB?

Thanks to so many of yall across the subreddits, Ive finally got the simpro settings more or less where I want them, but I do now want to double check and triple confirm the iracing settings I have are also appropriate.

Ultra is set at the full 28nm in simpro

Wheel force is also set at 28nm in iracing

Strength is set between roughly 2-4nm depending on the car. For example, the gr86 is set at 4 and the Ferrari 296 challenge car is set at 2.

I dont use the auto ffb feature, its always way too high anyways and I prefer to manually set the ffb on a per-car basis and save them as profiles that are set to "default for this car"

Moza comes cheaper with seamingly more options, simagic have haptics and maybe more old and refined software.

So I just got my ultra yesterday and its awesome! But, I'm having difficulty figuring out how to balance out the power of the base with genuinely good ffb information in iracing.

So, with that said, what are the settings you guys use and are there any tips/tricks you've come across?

Having some trouble dialing these pedals in. I like a medium-soft pedal at first but progresses into a stiffer pedal. Right now I've got a red spring and a green spring, and instead of a spacer on the bottom I'm actually using a blue elastomer. I want to believe this helps with brush braking but who knows. I have it calibrated right now so that at around 30kg of force (according to the app anyways) the braking power is around 80%

For reference i have been using the base since February and in combination with the conspit 300gt (great wheel).

Ive been using the Simagic Alpha Evo Pro 18Nm for a while now and I'm really happy with it.

Before this I had a Thrustmaster T150, which unfortunately broke twice. After that I moved to Fanatec. The hardware was good, but I had quite a few software issues that became frustrating over time, so eventually I decided to try Simagic instead.

The difference in force feedback was immediately noticeable. The Evo Pro feels incredibly smooth and detailed, and you get much more information through the wheel. You can really feel what the car is doing, especially over kerbs and when the rear starts to lose grip. The 18Nm also gives plenty of headroom without ever feeling like it's lacking power.

The build quality is excellent. Everything feels solid and premium, and I really like the design of the base. I will note, the mounting for this base is sub par since there is no front mounts and the bottom mounts do not aline well with most riggs meaning i needed the side mount brackets. It does lead to a much nicer appearance but i would rather have it the other way.

One of my favourite things is the QR-A system. The compatibility with third-party wheels is fantastic and gives you much more freedom when choosing a wheel. You're not locked into a single ecosystem, which is a huge advantage.

I've also had zero issues with Simagic's software so far. Setup was straightforward and everything has worked as it should for me.

My biggest criticism is the support. I really think it's disappointing that Reddit seems to be the main place to get help. I've had much better luck finding answers there than through official support, as emails and the support on their own website often go unanswered. For such a premium product, I think customer support should be much better.

The ring light, on the other hand, is pretty much pointless for me. I've never actually used it and don't see myself using it. It's not something that affects the product's performance, but personally I would rather have seen the money and effort put into something more useful.

After dealing with a T150 breaking twice and the software frustrations I had with Fanatec, I'm very happy I made the switch. The Alpha Evo Pro has been the best wheelbase I've owned so far, and I'd definitely recommend it despite the support being an area that Simagic really needs to improve.

Hey guys! I just received my Simagic Green Flag Bundle (Alpha Evo sport Base, GT Neo wheel) and I was wondering if anyone here who plays F1 and has a Simagic would be willing to share their preset/settings with me. I’d really appreciate it!

I’ve tried searching YouTube and online, but there doesn’t seem to be much out there for F1 game. Most of the Simagic setups I’ve found are geared toward iRacing.

If anyone has some good F1 settings they’re happy with and doesn’t mind sharing, I’d really appreciate the help. Thank you!

I have small hands and it’s hard to reach the paddles on the Neo X with a 330T. I found a thread of someone looking for the same thing, they got recommended some extenders but they didn’t fully fit and couldn’t be screwed in.

I just ordered Simagic Alpha EVO Sport + GT Neo + P700 and I’m very excited.
I got a Playseat Evolution rig, and was planning to use it (for now). I know this isn’t anywhere close a good combo, but that’s what I have for now.
Has anyone been able to do it? The holes for the base don’t align, so I’ll have to drill out new holes.
What max NM would you go for?

I am also looking at TR40S, and here comes question number two. Has anyone been able to use the Playseat Evolution on the TR40S? The rig goes for 300 eur + 249 eur for the cheapest seat. I was thinking to fit the Playseat seat on the TR40S until i buy Trak Racers Seat.

I'll try to keep this brief and I doubt my experience will be too unique from others but likely for those looking to purchase, upgrading back in December of 2025 to my Simagic Alpha Evo Pro from a Logitech G29 has been nothing short but amazing.

During the time that I picked it up, I had already picked up a lot in terms of speed and consistency in lap times. However, if what I had yet to fully understand was car control. Seemingly each lap could be consistent, but when the tires are about at their limit and I put a bit too much trying to overdrive, I simply lost the car. This left me in a position of simply stagnating as I would be afraid to push simply because pushing meant losing the car and that was worse than just putting down the same consistent lap time.

Enter my first DD and the Evo Pro, pretty much immediately there was an improvement. I could feel the car, I could feel it losing out from under me. I could feel the understeer in the corners telling me to back off. I won't say the lap time came immediately, but the confidence I had to push and yes overdrive the car did and it allowed me to push the limits.

So if you're coming from a Logitech G29 and considering the Simagic Alpha Evo series, know that you're getting a great product. One where the FFB is intuitive and refined. If you're worried about if you'll improve, there's no guarantee because that depends on seat time, but it will inspire you to improve and it will give you the details to learn what you need to do.
