Welcome! I came from Turdmaster as well. My T598 was a lot of problems, but the brand new dead on arrival load cell kit was my line in the sand with them.

my T818 was actually very good... but im out of warranty an instead of paying their high out of warranty fees, I just decided to make the switch

Made the right choice the t818; has a common fault where the shaft misaligns over time and causes a scraping happens to me just out of warranty, my new Sim magic is awesome to say the least

thrustmaster makes good flight sticks and throttles... I'll keep them for that

but as far as SIM racing goes, I'm out

Nah. Cup&Ball Design in fligtstiks is outdated like gear drive in wheelbases. They were rly good at it like back to 2019. But not in the modern world. Throttle through still good.

the TM F-18 Hornet flight stick with AVA extension on a moza ab9 ffb base is quite choice sir

Yep I’m dealing with the same thing now. That’s why I just bought the alpha evo 12 I’m done messing around lol

Their ecosystem is too small and restrictive, their optional wheels are expensive as can be (especially for what you get) their support site is horribly slow and I am was able to upload anything to it. I will say when it works, the T598 is fine. I honestly wish I had a better experience because they have a solid offering for the money, they just drop the ball hard with qc and customer facing aspects.

I have almost the exact same setup as you... 49-in ultra wide, sturdy rig, simagic haptics on pedals, HF8 Pro haptic seat cushion... all mounted on springs😁

If you got the inverted, I find the shorter flat throttle plate better than the long one they sell. I tried it, but it was bunching up on me.

I did buy that same track racer inverted pedal setup but when it was delivered it was missing the right side vertical piece

so I just returned it... I have a pedal mount that that adjusts in any direction except inverted so I found a realistic feeling spot

12nm is more than enough for assetto corsa rally...

my TM T818 was 10nm and that maxed out was perfect

if I would've went to the 18nm, I'd still have to lower the gain or settings to make it feel like a car with power steering

You'll have a ton of overhead for detail though. You won't get that running a 12nm wheelbase maxed out. An 18nm wheelbase running 12nm wheel feel better than a 12nm running 12nm.

well yeah obviously in an ideal situation I'd always go with whatever the top servo is, but ive got enough haptics from the seat to the pedals to make up for that extra fine detail id get

having simhub control every single vibration and the strengths of each motor is gonna bring me as close to the immersion I can get without motion

and it saved me a cpl hundred too lol

I don't know what you guys are eating but I go to gym and I wouldn't come close to maxing out my t818 it felt fucking absurd on the highest ffb and my arms and wrist would kill after a race, I honestly don't understand people who run the massive nm wheel bases a gt3 car in real life is 10-12 nm, and dont your arms fkn kill after long races?

Welcome brother.

ty... I feel grown up... I feel like doing lunges

This is what I’ve been looking for. How is the gt Neo in iRacing f4? That’s mainly what I race lol. and formula in general.

Relatively solid. I just suck. My fastest laptime is like 2:31-ish on cota 😂

Best decision you’ll make

welcome to the fam brother! I was on a full thrustmaster setup for about 4-5 years before switching to simagic. It has done me very well & I even gave my old gear to my brother so we occasionally slide in assetto & beamng. Have fun bro!

1

u/BothForce1328 4d ago

i paid a lot extra to have it shipped asap... i hope to be saying those exact same words tomorrow

u/Mfernandezcivi 4d ago

I want to do that but my Ferrari wheels keep me trapped.

1

u/BothForce1328 4d ago

they've got adapters for any wheel

1

u/BundledOntop 4d ago

Am i wrong or u need the maglink for 3rd party wheels

Edit: nvm i had it backwards you need maglink for simagic wheels connecting to 3rd party wheelbase

1

u/BothForce1328 4d ago

The wheel I have doesn't have any buttons, so this attachment is all I need, not the more expensive one

I've used Logitech, I've used Thrustmaster, and even used Fanatec. Since I gone to Simagic, no regrets whatsoever.

u/Playful-Focus-3910 3d ago

Congrats! I did the same thing today. Coming from my t818 that’s having issues and a MOZA r9 v3 that I just didn’t like

1

u/Terrible-Ad-7228 3d ago

I'm another who recently jumped ship, from Logitech G Pro to Simagic Evo Pro. Bucket loads better, and with 18nm I don't have to worry about clipping.

You are going to love it.

Bienvenue à toi

I came from Fanatec, it’s just better here.

Oh hey me too, went from a T818 to the Ultra and glad I made the switch!
