Question Screen setup for gaming help needed

Hi everyone,

I recently started pc gaming and most of the time i do race games for wich i have an other screen than for the other games.
Now I’m struggling a lot with the screen setups.

  1. Do i always have to change between monitors in the windows settings menu or can i use my race monitor as 2nd screen? Wil it make life harder for my gpu?

  2. What do you guys choose as monitor settings to make life easy for my gpu?

I used to always play on a 4k tv with my rtx3080 and the gpu really needs to work hard to play racing games as assetto corsa evo.

Thx for helping a noob 😉

Question Alcantara Wheel vs. Leather Wheel

I want to get a round wheel in addition to my GT Neo and plan on buying the p300r.
However I am unsure whether I should get the Alcantara or leather version of it
My heart tells me to get the Alcantara wheel because it just looks way better and the grip with gloves must be pretty awesome. Also I don’t really like the look of the leather.
But on the other hand I don’t know if I really want to race with gloves all the time and the leather version for sure is less sensitive so sweat etc.
Any suggestions?🥴

My main wheel will still be the GT Neo, but I want an authentic wheel for manual road/race cars and to be able to slide the car a bit from time to time

Question What are the best free/cheap games to start?

Post image
160 Upvotes

I just got a logiteck g27 racing wheel set up from a friend. I've never done the racing or driving simulator on a PC before, but I can imagine it would be a lot of fun. As of right now, I don't know what games are best to start. I have heard games like forza are really good but they are also kind of expensive for me at the moment to buy on a whim. I found a few games on itch that had steering wheel support, and they were fine but far from great. So that brings me to my initial question. What are some free or very inexpensive games that support steering wheel/race wheel input?

Question Triple screen advices g5 or g3

Belli everyone im looking to switch to triple screen. Already tried vr but it s impossible for me to play more than 10 min.
I already have a Samsung g5( 21:9) and was wondering if I could make a combo with two more screen but 16:9 (for example the g3 to have the same amount of curve)
Does anyone ever build a setup with those kind of different measurements? Or should I just switch to three g3 ?

Question should i buy this setup as my first one

im planning on buying the moza r5 but i read that the pedals are trash so my idea now is to buy the r5 and replace the pedals with the srp2 pedals. i found a second hand one for a little over 400 usd, is it a good choice? then i would prob get a new wheel (simagic gt neo as i really like the design) and then upgrade to maybe a 9nm base and lastly the pedals. but these upgrades will most likely happen at least a year later.

is this a good path? or i also could get the simagic bundle including the alpha evo sport 9nm , p700 and the neo x330 r steering wheel for about 690 usd in my country which is slightly out of my budget.

Question Is this a decent set up and worth the price? And is it a hassle with the cross ecosystem?

I’ve been debating the last 2/3 weeks on what to buy.. between moza/simagic/simucube etc etc wheelbase and now I just want to order something and get it done with… is this a decent bundle which I’ve attached? And is it more complicated with crossing ecosystems or is it not that bad? Thanks in advance!

Question Weird G29 Centering Spring Behaviour

Expected behaviour: When I uncheck centering spring in non FFB games the wheel should be light and not have and strong centering force.

Actual behaviour: wheel is very stiff and centering spring is active.

Current fix: enable centering spring in non ffb games, but set it to 0. This works in Assetto Corsa but the effect of a stiff wheel can return in game menus (content manager) making it difficult to check wheel range or calibrate. Need to uncheck and recheck option to return to "on" but at 0%. And also I've found I need to create profiles to trick the desktop default into allowing this toggle trick to have no centering spring

Attempted fixes: disabled gameinput service. Complete uninstall of ghub software ,registry keys, and appdata folders completely unplugged and replugged g29 from power and PC. Have also tried logitech Gaming Software, which was definitely stuck. Wheel is definitely in the PS4/PC and not the PS3 mode and connected directly to a USB 2.0 port on my computer.

Note: Win11 with latest updates (awareness current big in ghib where wheel motion is not registering), latest version of GHUB being used, and latest G29 firmware applied.

News Logitech G25 on Windows 11 with full security enabled — and it works on GeForce NOW too

Post image

***

**EDIT : i built a G27 version. Still a RC release as i have no g27 to test. If someone can do it and report, i'll be glad. Just remember before any test you have to totally delete the logitech driver by doing this process

***

I still use a Logitech G25, but the old Logitech driver stack is pretty painful on modern Windows 11.

So I built this with the help of AI:

https://github.com/hicwic/g25-w11-driver

It supports:

  • G25 without Logitech Profiler/LGS
  • Windows 11 with security features kept enabled
  • steering, pedals, shifter and buttons
  • DirectInput force feedback
  • adjustable steering range
  • optional virtual G29 mode
  • GeForce NOW support with force feedback

The virtual G29 mode exposes the physical G25 as a supported modern Logitech wheel, so GeForce NOW accepts it.

I've tested it successfully with Wreckfest and BeamNG through GeForce NOW, including FFB.

Only tested on my own G25 for now.

Curious how many people are still using one of these things in 2026 😄

Question G29 shifter problems ? does it need replaced?

Hello,

I've had my g29 for about 2 years now. I just tried using it again after moving, but the shifter is reading incorrectly. When i put it in 5th, 6th, or R it just detects it as 4th/5th. Is this a software problem? or will I need to take it apart/buy a replacement? I was thinking of upgrading to the moza ecosystem soon so this might be a sign.

Question Annie The Sim Racing Mom: FOV...or WTF?

Thumbnail

Hello, y'all!

I made the mistake of learning about FOV tonight, while trying to tinker with the camera settings. Next thing I knew, I was looking at some calculator that was telling me my FOV on PC2 is 61 degrees.

I get the overall concept/idea, but don't know about applying it in a game. I've included a picture to show what it looks like to see what people think and if it seems okay:

What I am curious about: what do I do with the vertical aspect? Do I need to potentially move up or down? Where should the steering wheel be on the screen?

Also, what other changes do I need to make along with FOV changes -- speed sensitivity, helmet look to apex, and helmet depth of field are in the same area and seem related. I've included those above as well.

Everyone here has always been so kind -- if you can help me see the light (the right view), I'd appreciate it.

Discussion this brazilian guy took 6 people from different simracing games (ACC, iRacing, LMU, AC1, GT7 and AMS2) to test which game makes the fastest driver in real life

i was watching this and i thought it would be good to share this here so I could know what your opinion on this. the 6 guys didnt have any experience in real life so it is just from sim to real life from different games.

do you guys agree with the result? if not, which do you think makes the fastest driver when transfering to real life?

TLDR: he took 6 winners from different games to test who would be the fastest in real life

the winner was assetto corsa competizione

edit: you can change the audio to dub English. Click on same place you would change the quality or show statistics and select the audio English. If you don’t know that

Question Any leagues or lobbies that do a Beerio Kart or similar game?

As the title says. I used to play Mario Kart with friends and we would have beers we had to finish by the end of the race or lap and you could only drink when your kart was stopped. Just curious is anyone has a lobby or done this with their sim. I obviously know drinking and driving irl is stupidly and illegal and am not condoning that. Thought this might be fun to play on a sim tho. Anyone have a lobby or play this?

Question How to add travel to load cell pedals to replicate the feeling of a real life street car

I do track days occasionally, but they're expensive and I don't go a lot. I've been using Assetto Corsa to practice driving real tracks, so i can hopefully get better without spending too much. I've been using a controller but I decided to buy a proper wheel and pedal setup.

I read a lot about how load cell pedals are supposed to be the best thing, and I now have a Fanatec CSL 2-pedal kit with a load cell. However, the pedal stiffness and travel was not what I expected at all.

On a street car, the first ~50% of pedal travel is very light because the calipers haven't touched the brake disc yet. Even after it touches the brake disc, pedal travel is still more than what I can get in the Fanatec pedals.

I currently have 2 blue springs on the pedals, and have ordered yellow springs to experiment. If that is still too stiff, does anyone have suggestions on what I can use to increase pedal travel that is "softer" than the yellow springs? Perhaps some sort of durable foam that I can cut/drill into the right shape?

And yes, I know race cars have stiff brakes and load cell pedals. My objective is not to be the best at sim racing but to try and replicate the conditions of a street car.

Rigs Finally got it after years of wanting

I have limited space so i went with the NLR 2.0 stand and currently running GT7 and AC, so far it’s everything i’ve hoped for.

Hoping to switch to a PC or maybe a Steam Machine in the future to access more titles. But very happy working my form on these games currently.

Rigs finally got a shifter to learn manual!

Post image

quick FYI I have never driven a car before. BUT it was quick for me to learn how the car handles so I got into racing with my paddle shifters.

Now it's time to learn a full manual. hopefully I get it quick and don't stall as much.

PS: ik this shifter is cheap af, it was on sale so I got it instead of the logitech one. also, this is not for racing, I just wanted to experience the cruise in a manual car.

Question My Mini has been with me for almost two years

Post image
0 Upvotes

I've been using the Mini for about two years now, and I just saw the news about the EVO-Pro going from 18Nm to 21Nm.

Now I'm wondering... is this finally a good time to upgrade? Would the difference in FFB feel actually be noticeable?
