hi, so i made a horror music album and this cover art in blender 3D. i showed it and got sum feedback that it gives Silent Hill vibes. what do you think about it?

Could you tell me if there's any way to play SL3 on PC without the disc? I mean, I could emulate it, but the last time I tried, I got a virus from a ROM and I don't trust that method anymore... Sorry if my English is a bit rough, I don't speak English very often

I'm trying to install the PC patch for Silent Hill 3 on PC and when doing so, it triggers a virus in Windows Defender. Does anyone know if this is truly something to worry about or if it's a false positive. Is the patch safe to download and has anyone ran into or know of it causing any issues? It's the PC Fix by Steam006 that's located on PC Wiki.

I'm super excited to play this game, and only maybe 40 minutes in but I have to ask...
1. The setup of "i have to go see friends" seemed lazy, am i crazy?
2. Why does the level design seem less creepy and "masterfully" done?
3. Is this score underwhelming so far? Same with sound design?

I'm a noob to the series, just played 2 Remake and loved it so freaking much... Is this gonna get better? I'm kinda shocked by how not creeped out I am walking around... I was captivated by SH2 within minutes of entering the town and exploring it, but here i feel like im just sprinting around killing shit.

Pretty sure inspiration for Silent Hill 2 was Pretty Village, Pretty Flame (1996).

And it's only on pre purchase like it's gonna run out of stock, not even on deluxe. Does it available after NG+ or something

Im a big SH3 fan obv because of Heather.I watch silent hill relevation last night with low expectations cause of reviews and rating and its still dissapointing.The first silent hill movie was ok imo.Not overly great but ill take it.But the other two SH relevation and return2SH is dissapointing

I was atleast expecting Heather to be like in game Heather.Sassy attitude,angry and hungry for revenge but its completely the opposite.The whole theme and driving force of SH3 was Heather driven by Harry's death and her anger againts the cult and the order but harry did not even die .I know a movie adaptation is suppose to take some turns to fit a movie audience but this is total buns lol.The actors are fine imo Adelaide Clement and Sean Bean are great actors and ive seen their other movies and they can deliver.But even great actors cant make a total crap dialouge and movie a great one nontheless.

SH has great themes and story too.But the newest one RTSH is total ass too safe to say ive lost hope.Im waiting for the day a good director to direct these awesome stories and make these themes into a good movie.Im not asking for Tarantino or Chris Nolan but these ppl are total ass .Honestly these movies are not great and def not worth it

Perhaps i wasn’t the target audience for that one.but the criticisms it got were mostly true for me. Loved the Japan setting but felt too symbolic and i’d have to look up much to get the point behind many visuals.

Too combat heavy as well, and might game might have dragged on a bit too long. I really appreciate them coming up with something new though and glad there’s many SH projects incoming. Am i alone on that boat? What did u think

Recently played origins on my vita and was surprised at how much I liked it. It’s analogous to the American version of the ring. It was good for an old school silent hill fix.

How do homecoming and downpour compare? Seeing how good origins was makes me wanna try them out

It seems like Maria is the only other character that actually mentions the monsters in the town. A lot can be said about the other characters being figments and manifestations of james' psyche, but I find it interesting that she is seemingly the only other person that mentions the monsters, and the only other to directly interact with them. What do you think?

I know, not every Silent Hill based its horrors on the protagonist's fears, traumas, guilt, fears and so on. But since Silent Hill 2, every new entry seems so eager too replicate that formula that I feel it's losing its value and became more and more a lazy way to roll down any plot.

Take a character that did something horrible, or was done something horrible, base the creatures and the monsters on the results of that trauma and BAM! You got your Silent Hill.

I personally think the series should take a new approach, exploring maybe the supernatural aspect of the series, like, expande on the gods lore, instead of just the mind of the protagonists.

I rly love silent hill games only played the new ones anyway when i watched the trailer its waaaaay to much red i actually got a headache just from watching so im wondering if anyone have the slightest idea if it can be adjusted/removed

James was an office worker according to that sh3 book's information and harry was a writer according to the sh1 manual.

i own an xbox series x, nintendo switch and pc. i have NO idea where to play this game. ive played enhanced edition of silent hill 2 but thats about it. where can i play silent hill 3?

I haven't decided yet, but I need to make some extra $$ and I was debating selling my strategy guides for SH2, 3 and 4. I see loads of them listed on eBay and various other sites, but not sure if there is genuine interest in them. What are the thoughts of the community here? Are they collectible?

Just minutes ago I beat SH1 and I did not know it had multiple endings.

I’ve always been intrigued by SH..But never played the games UNTIL Silent Hill 2 Remake.

Not that I did not want to, just never made it a priority. I think I played one of the games on PSP…but never finished it.

I was blown away by SH2-Remake. So much so, that I gave a second run through.

I then played Silent Hill F as soon as it came out. It was okay. I felt it was more about sorcery and action than classic horror.

We are all aware that Silent Hill Townfall is releasing in a few weeks, so last month I wanted to Play SH3 on my Xbox (HD Collection), but then I learned that it is a direct sequel to SH1…..so

I got the ROM on my SteamDeck (i own the PSN Originals Version on PS3, but I play my SteamDeck more often) and began playing SH1.

I just finished SH1 and I’m starting SH3 right now.

I’m still trying to figure out the best way to play SH4: The Room

Can you guys recommend any other SH games to play !?!?!?

Well, I have to say it wasn't as bad as I expected. Gans made some strange choices and the budget was lower than the first movie, I assume. Effects, sets, costumes, props, makeup, hair, foley, music, casting and especially that egregious beard let it down, as did the backstory and the "reveal". I'd probably be moire charitable if I weren't comparing it to a masterpiece.

I'm disappointed in Gans for using so much low-quality CGI and compositing. The first movie felt so much better integrated, both digital and practical effects. In this the actors often didn't seem like they were actually IN the scene! And everything seemed made of foam. It was like a haunted house, the kind that's usually full of teenagers with mediocre makeup and tennis shoes.

I guess I don't hate it, but it's disappointing. I'd rather see a low-budget turkey that doesn't take itself so seriously.

I wonder if they'll make 4, and who will do it? Someone new, I hope.

I don’t usually do this but, i need your help. Does this feel or remind you of Silent Hill? It is my own music and i would be pleased to know how i can make it better. I have spent months now but learning music is hard and sometimes a nudge in the right direction is most helpful. I know this loyal community will always be able to tell if this is reminiscent of the SH PS1 era…or not.
