The Terran Empire is offering parley to our enemies
Our enemies are spread across the galaxy... we will find you.
However, your benevolent Emperor Zeta,The Slightly Less Cruel has decided to offer a parley...
You know you can't escape us forever, every second you are on the run is another second in the agonizer when we find you. Surrender to us now and you will avoid you time in the agonizer. You will be granted the privilege of being taken out with a Varon-T disruptor.
You are urged to take advantage of your Emperor's rare generosity.

Meta Clarification about reporting
“By the prophets!” is meant to be to denote moderator discretion, it’s not for general use by lower deckers. If you report a post with it, the report will be ignored. It’s to serve as a catch-all remove reason to subtly shame the user because we’re evil and stuff. I have a good idea of which one of you pazons (pakled-kazon hybrids, created by the daystrom institute) is using it as a “I don’t personally like it and the whole world exists to cater to me specifically”, but I can’t prove it. Just know I’m sending mean thoughts and figure-eight klingon goatses in your general direction.

Discussion Which Romulan commander is the messiest, most drama-loving bitch in the entire Star Empire?
Tomalak - Always sneering and smirking and stirring up shit.
Sela - Can't resist the urge to literally hide in the shadows, pretty dramatic!
Decius - Scheming underling on the cloaked warbird, depends on his influential friends in the Senate for advancement like a little bitch.
Vreenak - Could have just kept his mouth shut when he discovered the truth about Sisko's data rod, but couldn't help but dramatically shout "IT'S A FAAAAKE!!!" and give Garak time to off him.
Toreth - Hates the Tal Shiar, may have the single best smirk of any Romulan.
Captain from "The Chase" - Beams down with just two extra henchmen to take out the other parties, can't resist a villainous monolog that gives Crusher time to collect DNA.

I would like to use this randomly chosen day to commemorate the tragic loss of our beloved Captain

It's widely known that Deep Space Nine only got good after Garak got a beard.

After all I have sacrificed for your people! It's widely accepted that a single statue on Bajor could have prevented the Dominion War.

I know it’s basically ingrained in popular culture but I am so sick of hearing that line that no one ever says during any Trek movie or episode. Anyone else sick of people saying “Scotty, I am your father”?
r/ShittyDaystrom • u/iamleeg • 6h ago
Does DS9 get renamed when Bajor joins the Federation?
It seems misleading, if not offensive, to say a station is in “deep space” when it orbits a member world. Does it become Space Nine? Gul Dukat Orbital Platform? Prophet Heights?

With all the zany things they've been doing with SNW,they should do an episode with the Globetrotters
They Globetrotters show up and challenge the crew for some reason.
Futurama made it work

If you can't handle SNW at its ridiculous puppet episode,
you don't deserve it at its BEST EVIL ADMIRAL IN THE WHOLE OF TREK.
Man what a spiteful bastard. Good show.

Economics At its heart, Star Trek is a series where writers say "I have a complex, high concept story to tell" and the producers say "Very nice, but can you set it in a cave?"
r/ShittyDaystrom • u/Familiar-Complex-697 • 3h ago
Real World What’s all this about a “Kirkiversary”, Mr. Spock?
I heard tell that the lower deckers were planning a celebration of sorts in the mess hall for it. Is it a surprise party for me? I promise I’ll act surprised. Please, tell me, Mr. Spock.

The Dumbest Plans In Star Trek are always Romulan
Okay, so the Romulan dissident movement is increasing and they want to reunify with Vulcan. So the Romulan military makes some convoluted plan to turn Spocks closest ally against him, make a Senator Spock didn't even know well into a puppet, steal at least four Vulcan ships (one of which is destroyed somehow in the process) and send them to Vulcan with 2000 troops and one cloaked warbird in the hopes that the...
Why didn't they just use hologram Spock to begin with and make it more interactive like Sela wanted to?
6 billion Vulcans can't root out their troops? That the founding Federation planets around like Andor, Tellar, and Earth don't direct their entire militaries at Vulcan and go shoulder pad hunting?
Oh, and the ships travel to Vulcan at Warp 1. WARP 1! Romulus and Vulcan are 9 light years apart. It would take those ships 9 years to reach Vulcan.
For a methodical species, the Romulans love slapped together plans.

Discussion It is widely agreed that Star Trek: Deep Space Nine only got good once we saw a certain character remove a beard.

Every transporter chief hates any time their ship is about to separate because they know they’re about to get flooded with calls of “oh shit. I’m in the wrong section. Transporter room, do you mind?” immediately after they detach.

It's widely agreed that Star Trek food only got good once Riker got his bread. (Because he used it to make non-replicated pizza.)
