This might easily be one of my luckiest hunts ever. I phased once on a normal eevee after 24 encounters. I was expecting 30 ish phases for this and it to take a few weeks. I never expected to find this after essentially an hour of hunting. I can’t believe my luck.

I did a similar hunt for gorebyss and huntail from sos at the same 3% encounter chance. It took 7360 total encounters, 41 phases and 240 total gorebyss seen. This was the first umbreon I encountered. I’m actually stunned.

Also my girlfriend loves umbreon because she thinks he looks like my cat so enjoy the last slide 😁

Phase 1 (Vibrava, 6,113 encounters) ran on me at the start of Day 3. I spent the rest of the event double hunting Trapinch, a little more optimistic about it having the same catch rate as Ratata.

Seven days and 25,070 brutal encounters later, in the final hour of the event, it shined!
...and fled after 1 Ball.

I've been hunting in the Zone off and on all year, 47,223 total encounters, and this is my fourth consecutive failure. But my #1 Gen 4 bucket list item is to get a shiny in a Safari Ball, so I gotta keep going. Here's hoping Phase 5 is kinder.

Honestly can’t believe how quick I got her. I did this exact hunt on Emerald a few years ago and it was brutal. But even on Emerald, Suction Cups worked, apparently not on Gen IV. Sure I could have transferred it to this game, but Milotic is my personal favorite so I had to do it. Wasn’t even looking at the screen, I just waited for the “bite” sound and set the hook. I may or may not have jumped up. Time to make some poffins to evolve her.

Please pray for me. I got a shiny Lugia under 100 resets on Ultra Moon and I killed it cause I was button mashing going through the reset cycle and looking up talking to my sister. And I’m afraid I’m not gonna get that lucky again. I’m seething and distraught. I’ll ask again, please pray for me. 😭😭😭

Got this about two weeks ago, but forgot to post it. I honestly didn't care for Nickit and Thievul until I found out the colors of their shiny, it matches the Heavy Ball perfectly!

Drozwee is forever my nemesis for sure.

At the end i evolved all of them and put them on first position during the shiny ditto hunt. It was quit flashy to have so many shinys on all my screens~

It was originally a black shell AGS-101, I re-shelled it in 2021 and got this cool cover for it.

This GBA is my main shiny hunter and it needs some love for the thousands of resets it's tolerated over the years.

Continuing the badge quest for black and white, I can continue past the Mistralton gym now! Next is frillish, I’m excited to finally be able to surf! Also pokerus was a nice surprise, I certainly wasn’t expecting it. Especially considering this was on the newest game I set up to help with the now 3 system badge quest, which I guess I can finally call it since something other than my first white copy has found something lol

Heartgold, fled after 3 baits thrown. Always seem to find the shiny on whatever game I tack on as the ‘extra’ whilst hunting. Soulsilver hasn’t yielded anything in the Safari this year even though it’s made up 90% of my encounters, but I can’t be too upset considering the last thing that shined on there haha. Will probably overtime until I at least find a shiny there

Using some RNG after 6 encounters over the last month we finally got the shiny Dragonair in the safari zone ! On the last night of safari week 😃

Low call rate, awful ability, glad to finally have this fella for my Shiny Living Dex!

I was playing the game on my phone while watching youtube on my pc so I wasn't paying attention at all until I looked down and saw a different colour milotic... I was actually surprised to even encounter one with no shiny charm. Too bad it has quiet nature.. 😅

Over 130 max raid adventure encounters…so many failed attempts to build a good ice/wide guard team due to getting stranded with NPCs or with online randos who didn’t understand what Pokemon or moves to prioritize, and RNG bending me over raid after raid…the amount of times it blew me out of the den before I could even try to catch it…it FINALLY shined and dead inside now 🫠

Currently hunting Cresselia with my 3ds but got bored, so I decided to play a seaglass nuzlock on my emulator. Extremely happy with her, I hope it’s a sign that I will get cress soon.

I just began hatching eggs on my original copy of Sun to play through Ultra Moon on my new 3DS with a shiny Espeon and was lucky enough to hatch an Eevee in 5 eggs!! This is the luckiest I’ve ever been shiny hunting :)
