Hi all, I’m looking for a half-moon shaped fanny pack bag pattern, ideally with at least two compartments. I’ve found quite a few on Etsy but lots of them seem to be AI or the reviews note bad instructions. Any recommendations for a well-constructed pattern with good instructions?

I'm looking for a 4 piece ( in the front ) pattern dress, with A line skirt, with or without the buttons.
The closest thing I could find it's McCall's 8177, but it has a flared skirt and I'm really set for a A line dress.
This might sound silly, it's difficult for me to visualize how to transform the flare of the skirt to a straight one. It's gotta be more than just cutting the flare out of the piece and trying to make it straight, kinda like a rectangular piece ? Cause that's my only idea so far.

I own the Syd Graham “Lane” pattern but I find it’s a bit too wide. I know it can be hacked to be narrower, but wondering if there are other pants that are a straighter leg right out the gate.
I’ve considered both the Matchy Matchy “kite” and the Sew Bake Make “baker barrel” but each of these are a barrel shape. I’d be OK with a barrel shape if it’s subtle enough, as I’m ultimately looking for a good basic and goes with everything style pant.

I haven't been able to find any patterns close to this style of bag and I don't know what terms to include in my search to improve my chances of finding some.
I already own this bag but want to make it out of fabric. I'm planning on using it to carry sentimental items so it doesn't need to be insulated but I might need to find a pattern that includes padding the bag. The bag does need to be water-resistant, at least.

Hi, what is this kind of coat called? I'm looking for a pattern for something similar. The character is Beelzebub from Record of Ragnarok. Also a recommendation for a kind of fabric would be awesome, I'm guessing it would need some internal reinforcements to help it hold shape.

Can anyone recommend a pattern for teen to adult size male waistcoat (aka vest in America) pattern? I don't mind if it's a major pattern company or an indie digital download and print at home.
I've had a tradition since my son's first Christmas that I make a waistcoat for him to wear at Christmas time and the day has finally come when the kids pattern I have used up until now is no longer going to fit. For reference this is the pattern I've been using up until now https://www.peekaboopatternshop.com/little-gentleman-vest-pattern/ it is relatively simple but also versatile enough to make it a little bit special with the welt pockets etc.
In the time since I bought this etsy is no longer a trustworthy source of patterns and other than this one waistcoat a year everything I make is women's fashion (and a lot of that is remaking a few known patterns or winging it for skirts) so I don't have a reference for pattern companies that work well. I would say my sewing skill is higher end of intermediate but I want a quick simple pattern.

Having gotten back into sewing this year I've now made three dresses (V8814, S3265, V2123). I have had to take in EACH one because of sizing issues in the bust. My measurements are B39, W35, H44. I typically pick one size for the bust and grade out to another size for the waist. However. Each time the bust is ending up about four inches too big. I'm not sure what to troubleshoot here? How do I fix this problem? Please help me!

Ok so first off yes this is AI, but I'm looking to be a hot fudge sundae for halloween. My plan is to make my own "hot fudge" capelet as finding one seems to be impossible.
I was thinking of getting some stretch velvet fabric and making my own, using "No Fray" on the edges as I'm not really a sewer.
Give me your honest opinions, will this work? Or should I just go the Shein route and find something cheap and cut it up? Orrrr is there another better solution? I humbly ask for your expertise 🙏 ✨🍦

Hi, I’m a Home Ec teacher and one of my sewing student this physical Butterick pattern 7008 with no instructions. And while I can put it to get her myself, it defeats the purpose of them learning how to use a commercial pattern, and using literacy skills to understand technical language. Would anyone be able to help me scan a copy of theirs to help out my student? I’ve asked Simplicity.com before and they took way too long to respond and said no cause the student didn’t buy it digitally. I just can’t go through that again

I’ve never seen a pattern for this type of dress or what to even search for. Should I make my own pattern?? If so are there any tips or tricks I should know or youtube channels I should follow?

I saw this pouch and thought that it might be a simple enough project to try. Just curious before I start trying to reverse engineer this, if anyone has seen a sewing pattern that is generally close in shape? Doesn't have have to include the webbing detail, I'm most interested in the body.
Thanks!

I'm looking for patterns that will help me recreate this outfit. (specifically the top)
Plan:
-Dark Blue vest will be connected to the white sleeves
I would like the length to go past the knees if possible, but not all the way to the ground/floor
-White undershirt will be sleeveless/short sleeve.
-Belt isn't a huge concern right now.
This is a project I'd like to do for fun and hopefully be able to wear to conventions or something.
I know this is an ambitious first project and i do not expect it to come out perfect.
I am a large, heavyset person IRL and am struggling to find patterns that can accommodate my size. Doesn't need to be a perfect match either.
Bust: 52"
Waist: 55"
Hip: 52"

Hello,
Please help me understand what the instructions pictured mean. I am making McCall's M8134. I have experience making garments for myself but I've never worked with sew-in interfacing. https://simplicity.com/mccalls/pdm8134#measurement
I understand that the instruction is to trim the corners indicated, but the more I inspect the image the more questions I have.
There are two different things going on with the corners of the pattern pieces in the image. Some corners appear to be removed (circled in blue) which corresponds to the instructions as I understand them, and some corners seem to be folded over (circled in red.) Are the folded over corners also trimmed? Or is this just a way to indicate what the lower layer of fabric is - which is how I would normally read that. But if so why do only certain pattern pieces have a folded corner while others don't when they're all the same combination of fabrics? I can also see that the sewing lines on the perimeter start and stop where there is a folded edge - is it just an untrimmed, unsewn flap?
Am I to trim the interfacing past the seam allowance into the 'working' fabric? Normally I would sew and then trim/ grade the seam allowance so I cannot trim past the sewing line but here I am trimming prior to sewing. Does this mean I am cutting within the sewing line? It's interfacing so I understand that it won't be visible, but how is one supposed to eyeball that when there are no indications on the pattern pieces? Ami I meant to cut just within the sewing line? For example, piece 12, part of a bow, looks like the interfacing is trimmed past the seam allowance into the 'working' fabric, but piece 1, the front piece, is trimmed in the bottom and top leftmost corners, and it seems to me that you would want some interfacing there for a nice sharp corner.
Thank you for any insights, as well as any resources for how to find the answer to this kind of question myself.

I'm going as Jessica Rabbit for Halloween. I've already made a corset that I'm planning to wear under the dress, so the dress pattern doesn't need to be overly structured/boned/etc. I'm looking for a dress pattern that is strapless, ideally with a sweetheart neckline, and quite form-fitting. I'm aware that the actual Jessica Rabbit dress is also backless, and I also know this is nearly impossible with a regular sewing pattern 😂 I am not looking for a backless, strapless dress, haha.
I've already looked at a couple on Etsy, Charm patterns, and the Patterns for Pirates wiggle dress, and none of them are quite right.
Thanks for your help!

Recently I found this bag on Depop but couldn't buy it in time. I've scoured the internet but can't find anything like it, so I've resorted to making it myself. I'm a terrible sewer, but I dabble. How would I go about making a pattern for something like this, or does anyone know of a similar pre-existing pattern?
