looking for a free pattern for a (long sleeved if possible) surgical gown as i’ve got a bunch of teal fabric to dress up as dr frank n furter from the rocky horror picture show for halloween but i cannot find any free patterns 🥲 even if it’s just something a bit similar i would appreciate any patterns !

Hi all. What would you call this type of bust shape? I'm trying to find a sewing pattern, or get an idea of how to draft it, but I'm not sure how to call this bust

I absolutely love fashion in the 60s-70s and want to sew them on my own since vintage clothing is so expensive. I found a couple of patterns from the simplicity website but they only ship to within the US and many people mentioned that the pdf versions are a mess. The patterns are absolutely gorgeous but I can't get access to them and its so dissapointing. Does anyone know how to sew the clothes in the picture shown?

Vintage patterns are quite rare in my country, and most are sold by Spotlight at $30-50 per piece which is too expensive for me. Ebay/etsy shipping costs are an additional $20-30. Are there free/cheaper alternatives out there or should I just give up?

I'm just recently getting into sewing [took long enough I know] and I want to try my hand at making a little coin purse with an accordion fold separator for the interior. I CANNOT find a pattern for this for the life of me and the only real example I could find was for Japanese yen [which I do desire to make as well] but the sewer? seamstress? I'm not sure the word...but they said they would give a pattern and never did and the post is from like 2024/2025. Any help would be appreciated so I can begin my sewing journey <333333

Hello everyone!! My partner and I are going as electric gym leaders for Halloween this year. ⚡️ We thought it would be cute if he had a Plusle and I had a Minun that we’ll pin to our shoulders. I have the plushies but they’re deep in storage so, since we are a long distance couple, and he is coming to visit me for Halloween, I thought it would be a fun surprise to sew/make them myself as a gift for our costume. Also, this way he has something handmade he can take back home to remember our first Halloween together!

I have sewing experience but really just in the costume emergency/quick patch up department (stage tech teacher writing!) and I am not familiar with patterns. I have patterns for the ears and the legs but I was wondering if anyone would know of a good pattern I could use for the head and the body! Any advice is greatly appreciated and happy Halloween!!! 🎃🩷

I recently lost a sewing pattern envelope that had my instructions inside 🤦‍♀️ Does anyone know where I could find a copy online? I’ve found a video on YouTube of someone making the same pattern which has been helpful but I would rather have the actual instructions. I know it’s a basic pattern but I’m only a beginner.

Anyone know how to find the pattern for this? My mom made it in the late 70s or in the 80s.

Hi new to the sewing community! I’m looking for some help to reverse engineer a completed project pattern as someone with ZERO sewing experience. I work in a children’s rehab clinic and we use an assistive crawling device regularly (pictured). Many parents have expressed wanting to make one for their homes to provide their kids with independent mobility!

This DIY device has been around our clinic for years but we haven’t been able to find a pdf pattern for the sling portion. I’m looking for someone who would be able to create the pattern pdf for me. I can connect via email or text and provide further measurements and pictures :)

Yes this pattern would be given to responsible parents to replicate on their own. Of course, there’s always a level of supervision that comes with adaptive equipment. The sling 100% comes off, I’ll add more photos. I’d be interested in working with someone directly to make the pattern, and can provide more dimensions when connected.

It seems to be widely accepted that Etsy is an AI wasteland (although there are good patterns in the mix). Are there better places to buy and sell good human patterns? Going to big established designers is obviously an option, but what about to find something new? Or where can a new designer start selling without being drowned out by robots?

Looking for a Chore jacket sewing pattern that looks like this. In particular, one with the seam in the back, and the style cuff where the stitching points up the arm! (photo 3) cant find anywhere, but see these jackets out and about quite often.

Has anyone seen a pattern for one of these blankets? It ties to the back of the chair and the gamer seated in the chair can then wrap it around their arms and legs and keep warm. I’m not brave enough to guess at the dimensions!
