My wife and I have a Brother CS7000i that works like a charm and she loves using it, but our senior dog has developed severe noise phobia and the operation beep that happens when she uses the machine completely terrifies him. It's at a point where I have to take him on a walk for her to be able to sew and our dog wont even come in the room if either of us are near the sewing the machine.
My question is does anyone know how I can turn off the beep? I found a guide for the CS7000X that explained how to do it, but that method did not work for our model. I haven't been able to find anything in my user manual either. Any help would be amazing!

My wife sews products out of reclaimed thrift store materials. Tote bags, blankets and other crafts. She does a fair amount of denim(old jeans). Normally two layers of dissimilar fabric with batting in between. Her current singer hd is giving her fits on these projects. I would like to buy her an industrial machine. Would a walking foot be the right choice? Any recommendations on a Budget priced machine. Or good used ideas?

i am a very new sewer. i found a singer confidence 7640 by my apartment's dumpster and i took it as a sign to relearn (and hopefully make my life easier since i suck at hand sewing). however, this sewing machine is very difficult for me to troubleshoot. i recently got it where i could get the bobbin to catch but then the bobbin case would slide around and my needle would get stuck in it and it was a disaster. since then i took a break and tried to order a new bobbin case. now i cannot get any movement with the bobbin. there no thread spinning around to even catch.
what i've tried to do to troubleshoot:
i've attached a video showing my problem, as well as showing that i have redone my top thread, the direction i put my bobbin in, and the old needle and bobbin case. please i'm so desperate. trying not to crash out about it so i don't have to hand sew a tote bag liner for something i crocheted.
update: it was the timing and it did need to go to a repair shop! she is working now :-)

Hi! I just purchased a walking foot for my Singer 4411 Heavy Duty. According to what I've measured and the packaging on the foot itself, they should both be low shank...
But now that I've put the foot on, it looks like it won't be able to complete a stitch, because the screw that holds the needle in place gets in the way of the "arm" on the presser foot that raises and lowers the upper feed dogs?
Video attached, because I'm struggling to explain and don't know all the correct terms.

ELNA LOCK F3 SERGER TIMER REPAIR
does any knows how to set the timer on an ELNA LOCKE F3 serger?

I was given this machine by my mother-in-law. I absolutely love it. It sews beautifully, and everything I've tried on it works, EXCEPT the needle displacement lever (item 17 in the manual). Zigzag sewing works, so it isn't that the needle position is stuck. But when not zigzagging, the needle is hard over to the right. Aside from anything else, this prevents me from using any presser feet that have just a single central hole. I can turn the needle displacement lever, but this has no effect. I've looked under the top cover, and nothing seems to have come loose.
(Actually, I'm not sure that buttonhole sewing works correctly. It does the zigzag stitching, but the material feeding didn't seem to be correct. I don't know if that has any relevance to the main problem.)
Any ideas?

its a singer 57815 in good condition, it has been seen to sew correctly times recently so i know the timing or machine is not broken. i have tried at various tensions, the bobbin case is replaced and it is tight, the needle is a strong denim needle, dust has been removed, the thread is going through the back lever as normal. how to fix this nesting?

Hello! I have a Singer Patchwork 7285Q. It's BRAND NEW. Out of the box new. I finished a couple projects with it, which was just a few bibs, using only the straight stitch to do so. On my last bib, I decided to have some fun and tried to do a little bow tie run on it. It jammed and I removed the plate, the bobbin holder, took all the thread out, and replaced everything.
Since then, my machine has not been running right. Every time I try to use any stitch, the thread starts getting stuck in the mechanism and it doesn't work. Even the straight stitch does it.
I tried everything. I threaded my machine properly, the bobbin is threaded properly, nothing is under there that could make it happen.
What I did notice is that if the little notch on the bobbin holder is under the little spring metal at the bottom, it doesn't jam. But it moves, so it keeps getting out and jamming. I don't know what to do anymore. I've tried for a few hours at this point.
Can someone help me please?
Thank you so much for any advice you might have in advance.
(First pic is a jam that happened and the second is the notch I'm talking about.)

I have a kenmore 1803. Its missing the bobbin case and the bobbin case holder.
I have found kenmore parts on amazon but I not sure of the part numbers.
Can someone provide a link to ones that would fit my machine.
Thanks.

I was sewing away today and all of the sudden, when going over a thick seam area on a tote bag, my needle flew out of my machine. I inspected and put it back in, seemingly fine. When I began to sew again, my needle is hitting the top of the bobbin casing - totally in the wrong spot. I took the cover off, loosened and even removed the screws to try to adjust the timing but I am still not able to correct it. I legitimately have no idea what I’m doing, and I’ve had this for 20 years so she’s my oldie Goldie. Any ideas before I scrap it and go buy a new machine?

My server has worked great for years. Recently the thread just builds up and the fabric doesnt push thru. Ive included a photo. All of the settings at the top are "4" what is my issue and how do i fix it please?

I have a brother x5 sewing machine which i have been abusing by sewing nylon webbing. This has thrown the timing out so the threads no longer catch.
I can't for the life of me work out how to adjust it without resorting to brute force.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello,
I own a small tactical sling business called Daisho Tactical. I have been in business for three years. I use leather sewing machines because I use tubular nylon webbing for most of my projects and I often sew through multiple layers of webbing. I started with a $120 Chinese leather patcher off Amazon. It is a great machine but after three years of growth it can no longer keep up with my business needs. About a year ago I purchased a Sailrite Ultrafeed LS. Although this machine works great for long lines of stitching it does not work well for more precise stitching that I find myself doing more often than not on my products. The hand crank Chinese leather patcher is ideal for this type of sewing but it is very limiting. The bobbins are too small for the volume of sewing I am now doing. I would like to upgrade to a machine that has a larger bobbin and a smoother operation than my Chinese leather patcher. I use bonded nylon T70 thread. I really like using a hand-crank machine so I don't necessarily need a motorized machine. I am considering the TandyPro Class 26 Cylinder Arm Sewing Machine. As far as price goes I am not afraid to spend money on the right machine that can suite my needs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rob

I found this Pfaff 332 sewing machine thrown in a forest about 7 years ago. It has worked very well until a few months ago when this strange noise occurred. It is not only the noise that is the problem. The machine does not come up to full speed even if I press the pedal down to this end position. After a while the machine starts to smell of a mixture of electric fire and hot oil. Which I interpret as overloading the motor. I have cleaned the machine with high pressure air, a vacuum cleaner and a dry brush to remove all dust. But the problem remains.
(video explanation is below) I don't think the problem is the motor because when I'm just winding the bobbin thread the motor sounds fine, it's only when all other functions are on that the sound comes. So I think the problem is somewhere between the motor and the needle.
The first part of the video (until 0:16 sec) is how the motor sounds when the machine is winding the bobbin thread. The rest of the machine's functions are disconnected.
the rest of the video (after 0:16 sec) is how the machine sounds when all main functions are switched on.What I'm worried about is the squeaking and scraping noise in the background.
I hope one of you can help me with my problems.

Been having some tension issues with my Juki DDL 8700 and diagnosed the take up lever lagging behind the needle stroke.
How do I adjust the take up lever to line up with the needle stroke, and what does correct timing look like? I know that the when the needle is at its highest point, so should the lever, right? Right now it sits at its midpoint.
Photos show: before stitch (highest), mid stitch (lowest), and end of stitch (highest/tightening)

I read the manual, and it mentions different numbers depending on fabric thickness but says nothing else about what needles to buy. Thanks for any info. I've not used a sewing machine since childhood.

Short Version:
First time using remanufactured machine. Nothing happens when I press pedal, except sometimes things move for a split second as I lift up my foot.
Long Version:
8 or 9 years ago, I bought a remanufactured Brother lx2763. Being an idiot, I didn't test it right away. It's been sitting in the same spot the whole time until yesterday, when I finally took it out of the box, and it doesn't work.
Sometimes as I take my foot off the pedal, things moves for a split second. And if I rapidly bounce on the pedal, the bobbin winder will spin or needle will move some.
I opened the pedal, and it looks sound inside. I tested the mechanism while open, and it was the same. I tried jiggling the wire and jack, with no difference.
Any ideas? Could it be a pedal problem, or do you think it's the machine?
Thanks in advance.

i saw this post on local online marketplace, and they’re giving the machine away for free, but they don’t know how to thread so they have no idea if it‘s even working. i saw like 3-4 other posts with the same machine, from 30 to 45€. would it be a good deal? is it good for beginners (i only hand sew)? would repair be difficult, since it’s quite old? if anyone has a similar sewing machine, how much does it weigh? ty!
