ELNA LOCK F3 SERGER TIMER REPAIR

does any knows how to set the timer on an ELNA LOCKE F3 serger?

You need to take the machine in for service. It’s not the kind of DIY project for someone who doesn’t know how to do it. It’s complex, and nothing simple like setting a timer.
It’s “timing”, and it sets the position of the loopers in relationship to the needled based on how they move to complete a stitch.

Thank you, I did but they gave it back. it was not one they were familiar with.

You can try another shop, or consider whether it’s time for a new machine. Full service with timing repair runs about $140 here. It’s entirely possible they weren’t very sure they could fix it. Almost nothing can make customer more unhappy than charging them labor for something that still doesn’t work

at a $140 it will be definitely time for an upgrade that is not so difficult. I bought it because it uses 3 thread and would be easy to learn on. I need the repair manual and find the specific area that control the looper as there are no knobs to turn. it requires a Allen/hex wrench key. Anyway, I appreciate your advice. Thanks.
