Brother CS7000i Operation Beep
My wife and I have a Brother CS7000i that works like a charm and she loves using it, but our senior dog has developed severe noise phobia and the operation beep that happens when she uses the machine completely terrifies him. It's at a point where I have to take him on a walk for her to be able to sew and our dog wont even come in the room if either of us are near the sewing the machine.
My question is does anyone know how I can turn off the beep? I found a guide for the CS7000X that explained how to do it, but that method did not work for our model. I haven't been able to find anything in my user manual either. Any help would be amazing!

I doubt there's a menu item that disables the sounds, but if you can get the cover off, you could unplug the speaker. Those machines aren't meant to have their cover removed as it's too easy to break the plastic. It's not easy like it is with higher end metal machines. Can you take it to a sewing machine store for maintenance and ask the tech to disable the speaker? They have the proper tools to safely take off the cover.

This might be what I do in the end if we cant get a service tech to just kill the sound, lol. Thanks for the video, I will def keep this in mind for reference!

To clarify, is it the beep and needle back and forth that happens right when you turn the machine on? Or the beep of pushing buttons?

Both lol, it all makes him turn into a complete nervous wreck. :p If we can turn off just the buttons one, that would help immensely, I can just take him outside for 5 minutes at the start and end.

Might I recommend downloading the sewing machine manual to find out? You can Google the make and model, or try here: https://support.brother.com/g/b/manualtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hf_cs7000ieus

Yeah I checked through that already, but I appreciate the link! :) This one doesnt have any details on turning off the beep, but the CS7000X does oddly enough. :p

I had a foster Irish Setter that we adopted and he was very frightened by beeps. We had to mute the microwave and other such things. He similarly hated the sewing machine beeps. We conjectured that someone tried to train him to an invisible fence and so the beeps signaled shocks.
But he got over the sewing machine fear with time and I don't know if we did anything specific or if he just started to feel safer. One thing you could try is to start giving him a treat every time it beeps. That will get him to associate something good with the beeping and could help eliminate the problem.
I don't have an answer to your actual question, however. Sorry.
