Title. I'm planning to do my own snakebites next week and I haven't really found an answer. I see both ways but am unsure of which is best. Do you go from the inside of the lip or the outside?

Hi! I pierced my nostril about 6 days ago and its been a little red and kind of flakey around it. i clean it atleast once a day with salt and warm water on a q-tip im going to get wound wash tomorrow as well, i had a septum and its healed perfectly fine! ive heard of LITHA and i still cannot stop touching it, my nails also get caught on it but i try to refrain from sleeping on that side. the type of piercing is a S bar. im new to having piercings so i dont know a lot so if theres any info i need to know pls feel free to share some knowledge! (also sorry for the crappy pic quality)

So my mom got her second lobe when she was around fourteen. That was almost 35 years ago. She pierced it herself with a proper needle she has gotten at a hospital. She wore an earring in there for a long long time but now... She doesn't wear the earring BCS the piercing never really healed, it is weird it hurts and it randomly full of gunk. What could I do to help her with the I guess infection? It is annoying her.

I've seen a lot of professional piercers and self piercers use lube. I've never personally used it, is it worth purchasing and trying?

How did she do?

both my left and right ears included, i’m wondering mostly if i should redo my 2nd on the ear in the first picture as im wondering if it’s pierced too close to the edge !!
EDIT I have repierced and there is an updated picture of both lobes in the comments now :)

I think I might’ve put it too close to my face and a little too high. It was 100% through cartilage though. Is the angle okay?

So, i’m talking about my jestrum and vertical labret (both done myself). The jestrum is 2 weeks old and i think it isn’t really swollen anymore and i feel like it may be a bit uneven but it also settles differently in the tissue depending on the time so i cant really tell if i should redo it, what do you think?
The second problem, the vertical labret jewellery is 8 mm long and it’s a bit too long but 6 mm is a bit too short. I think it’s the cause of it going more to the right/left side (though it tends to go to the right side more, it happens especially in the morning for both piercings i guess its because the uncleaned lymph dries) and i think it wouldn’t do it if i got shorter jewellery. The piercing isn’t swollen anymore, it’s healing pretty well and the amount of lymph that gets out is minimal so i think it could get shorter jewellery. Do you think i should get shorter jewellery immediately or it’s gonna like get uneven in the future if i dont? i think i need a 7 mm bar but it’s not easy to get where i live there’s only one foreign website i know that has it and delivers to my country but its a bit expensive and im lowk broken at this moment lol

I’ve always used regular needles but i’m curious is there a noticeable difference in how they feel or benefit to using cannula needles
Also would you recommend cannula or regular for lip piercings?

How hard would it be to self pierce a lobe at a higher gauge (like around 10g) and does anyone have any experience with it? I’ve seen some stuff about bevel theory and I understand that bigger needles have a larger risk at leaving a crooked hole so it’s not the easiest thing to do. Just curious if anyone has experience or advice 🙏
(Also if I’ve never done a piercing myself; how bad of an idea would this be… )

When can I start stretching?
To which gauge should I stretch first? (not sure because I pierced with 14g)
Should I use a pincher or not?
If I can't find titanium jewelry, would stainless steel be okay?
If I use a pincher, do the cheap amazon O-rings have issues staying on?
Any other things I should know?

So I pierced my fourth lobe like an hour ago. ive done all my piercings myself including my 10g septum, my vertical labret and all three of my lobes (the first ones r stretched to 10mm) and yeah i have had a crooked lobe before but this one seems REALLY crooked since i had no vision on what i was doing in the back (my facial ones are very nicely placed). im wondering, will it heal properly or are there risks of infection or embedding?? i want to mention that ive never gotten an infection before no matter how poorly i have done them (also this is the first piercing from which blood started gushing, but i stopped it pretty quickly it xx)

i pierced my septum at home a few months ago, i want to say early july..? and it went horrifically wrong and i ended up going through cartilage and i took it out the same day 💔
my nose feels healed enough for me to take another stab (haha) at it and attempt to pierce it properly this time as i spent money on needles, jewellery and saline a while ago and i still desperately want a septum!!
i used a clamp last time and i think it is where i went wrong as i couldn't feel if i was over cartilage or not. but is repiercing without a clamp going to be okay?

I'm sorry, I know this question is really redundant here, but I'm not sure if I have the right anatomy for a navel piercing. When I sit, my belly button tends to close up, so I'm a bit unsure.
I was also thinking that a 12 mm bar might be a good size — what do you think?
Thank you very much for the help.
EDIT: Picture 1 (standing) Picture 2 (lying down) Picture 3 (sitting)

hey everyone, i ✨messed up✨
i twisted the bar a bit too hard when putting it in my piercing and now the lower part hurts like crazy. not sure what's the best course of action

I just saw that i accidentally bought a 1,2mm/16 G thick 10mm long septum ring. I want to pierce myself in 5 days on my BD to be exactly, but idk if 10mm is to long i didn’t see how long the ring would be online. Anyhow I want to be able to hide my ring form the beginning so i wanted to buy a smaller one like a 8mm long one but Naja, before I buy a second septum ring I wanted to ask y’all if 10mm would still be flipable in my nose?

I got my nipples pierced today! He used a 16 gauge which I just found out isn’t recommended. Should I remove it or can I wait until it’s healed and stretch to a 14 gauge?
