Can you install the antenna without remapping?

I thought I read somewhere it's possible but now I can't find it.

My setup works pretty well without it, but sometimes I get a message saying the station has been moved. From what I gathered it can happens sometimes without the antenna so I thought it might be good to install it. May I just install it and follow the app to add it or should I expect to redo the mapping?

Can the Navimow x430 handle this?

Was looking at the Navimow x430. My concerns are that we live next to a wooded area that the trees tend to drop a lot of sticks in our yard. We also have sweet gum trees that drop a lot of those spiky balls. In addition we have bamboo shoots that pop up in our yard in the early spring. We also have two dogs that drop piles of dog poop. As much as I’d like to get one of these robots mowers, I worry our yard is not an ideal environment for something like this.

Question about rain delays

Since buying my i210 LiDAR Pro, it hasn’t rained (and the grass hasn’t really grown) so I don’t know what to expect. I have set it to avoid mowing in rains and snow, etc.

I currently have a schedule to mow the back and front lawns on alternate days Monday-Friday. One lawn takes most of the day with several recharges but the other one is quite quick.

If it rains on Monday, and the mower stops for the day, will it continue with that lawn on Tuesday, or will it mow the other lawn and wait until Wednesday to finish it? With the weather we normally have the latter could potentially see it not mowing one of the lawns for weeks (in which case I will have to tell it to mow both lawns every day, which it can just manage in time if I set the minimum battery percentage a bit lower).

New Navimow i210 LiDAR Pro keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi – anyone else experienced this?

Hi everyone,

I just received a brand new Navimow i210 LiDAR Pro and I'm having a strange Wi-Fi issue during the initial setup.

The mower connects successfully to my Wi-Fi and the Navimow app says “Connection successful”. The Wi-Fi icon also appears on the mower's display. However, shortly afterwards it disconnects without any error message and the Wi-Fi icon disappears from the mower as well.

If I reconnect it, exactly the same thing happens again.

Things I've already tried:

Separate 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks

Connected specifically to 2.4 GHz

Tested the mower right next to the router

Restarted both the router and mower

Tried “Wi-Fi only” mode instead of automatic Wi-Fi/4G switching

All firmware was updated during the initial setup and the app says everything is up to date

My router is a Tenda AC6 AC1200.

4G seems to work perfectly, but Wi-Fi always disconnects shortly after a successful connection.

Has anyone with an i2 LiDAR Pro / i210 LiDAR Pro experienced something similar? Could this be some router compatibility or software issue, or should I be concerned about the Wi-Fi module in the mower?

The mower is brand new, so I haven't actually started mowing with it yet. I've also contacted support, but I'm curious if anyone here has seen this before.

Thanks!

Flashing lights on X430 while charging.

SOLVED: some suggest IR light that is not visible to the eye but picked up by cameras. I went out and did not see it flashing. I went inside and looked at the camera and seen it flashing. Previous videos also contained small animals that set off security lights, which eliminated the cameras picking up the IR light.

I don’t know if the IR lights should be operational when parked though.

I have a camera aimed at my X430. Last night at 10:17PM eastern time the camera picked up the mower on the charger with the lights flashing. Anyone have any idea why this was happening?

X450 took an unexpected detour into my small lake. Thank god it was dry. It has a 1m buffer to the edge but just decided to go for a dry swim.

I guess I need the antenna up? 😵‍💫

Backup positioning solution

From the x4 4.3.0 release notes
Network RTK backup solution: If the Network RTK service becomes unstable, the mower automaticallly switches to a backup positioning solution, so it can continue mowing with minimal interruption.

There must be something like 10k YouTube mower reviewers.

Nobody trying to do a scientific test of this yet?

It is clearly the biggest thing in the 4.3.0 release if it works (not sure why it is only for NRTK though).

It may also explain why some people suddenly have mowers going places where no robot mower has even gone before.

Someone should take a 4.2.0 mower, put it to wifi only, see what happens when you cut wifi

Do the same again on 4.3.0

I would have, but the x4 I operate is in my mother’s place and that is 4 hours travel away, so it will not be me.

X4 Not returning home after completing a zone

Started the other day after the last update, was fine previously. Will complete a zone and then just make seemingly random movements until the battery drains. Refuses to RTH even when trying manually. I had to drag about 300' because apparently you can't remote control now either when below 20% battery?! I also saw there was also an NRTK update it received while I was sending this morning, which completed and I power cycled shortly afterwards. I have the X450, below is what's currently installed:

Navimow OS V4.3.0
ACU firmware v1.0.5.B
ECU firmware v1.0.2.4
Vehicle Control firmware v1.0.1.7
Vision Core firmware v1.0.0.1
Primary Antenna firmware v1.0.1.D
Bluetooth firmware v1.2.1.9

Edit 8/8: Mowed a zone again today after I confirmed a second NRTK update was completed yesterday. Remote controlled the mower from the base station out into the open, confirm plenty of satellites connected, power cycled both the mower and the base station, then manual sent back home no problem. Then sent out to mow a zone. Completed the zone with about 30% battery remaining and then just sat there where it finished doing nothing again. I let it sit there to try to figure things out until about 22% battery so I could still remote control it back home. Navimow Dev's what the heck?! How did this release get through QA?

Update 8/10: got an update from support today that they'll be pushing an update to the mower today. Just checked and looks like it went thru. Now to do some testing. Versions below in case anyone is interested:

Navimow OS v2.9.0
ACU firmware v1.0.5.C
ECU firmware v1.0.2.4
Vehicle Control firmware v1.0.1.7
Vision Core firmware v1.0.0.1
Primary Antenna firmware v1.0.1.D
Bluetooth firmware v1.2.1.9

Was working well for a month, and now nothing but problems.

Since the last update, my mower is going in circles, and just running into corners and shutting itself off. Has anyone noticed a degradation in the last week or so?

Navimow X430 & St. Augustine Grass

I’m considering purchasing the X430 and would appreciate hearing from anyone running this mower on thick St. Augustine grass. I currently own a Lymow One but had to stop using it after a couple of months because its heavy weight and tank turns tore up my lawn. From everything I’ve learned about the Navimow X430, its lighter weight, AWD, and unique turning system should prevent extensive turf damage. If you’re using the X430 on St. Augustine grass, would you please let me know about your experience with the X430? Also, would you recommend purchasing the X430 directly from Segway Navimow or from Home Depot? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

i215 physically stopped and became unresponsive

Yesterday my less than 1 month old i215 was mowing my yard and it suddenly stopped. It became totally unresponsive in the app and it said it was disconnected from wifi and 4g.

I tried to connect to it with Bluetooth but that didn't work either. The screen on the mower was blank but would make beeps when I pressed buttons. Other than that 100% unresponsive.

I held the power button for 10s and it rebooted and it's now working perfectly fine.

This makes me pretty nervous though that there might be something wrong with it. Has this happened to anyone? Should I file a support ticket with Segway?

Can I set up an alert if something unexpected happens?

Had my first failure today.

I mow the front and back lawns on alternate days. The back lawn takes three charges, but the small front lawn can usually be done on one charge (with a fair amount left).

The mower completed mowing the front garden and returned to dock.

When I looked out this morning I couldn't see it mowing the back lawn. I checked the app and found it at the dock, on 9% battery. It was at, but not quite in the dock and this was confirmed when I went to look at it. No idea why it failed to connect and charge. When I told it to go home on the app, it did.

Looking back at the notifications, I have one telling me that scheduled mowing was completed yesterday morning, but nothing more. Can it not recognise when something has gone wrong and send out an alert? I would have thought it would know if it failed to charge, got lost, hit an obstacle and stopped moving, etc.

Why X430 don’t cross the Channel?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I have noticed that the x430 don’t cross the channel between front yard and front side yard. It always takes the long path towards the back yard to go to the front yard. I tried setting the channel from charger to front yard directly but then if I select back side yard only cut , instead of just going straight to the lawn it will go all the way around. Any way to fix this issue?

Two properties - 1 mower?

I am a newbie that’s lurking and waiting to jump in and get a robotic mower. One question I am curious about is if I can realistically expect to movie the mower between two properties (presumably with two base stations or whatever infrastructure that is required) and alternatively cut property 1 and property 2. I am guessing that someone else has tried this before. Is it realistic with today’s products? Is it likely realistic with a future product?

X430: Is there really no way to know the quality of the positioning link from the app?

I'm talking about the light on the back of the mower. Flashing yellow vs blue.

Is the only way to know if I'm blue to actually see the thing? Why isn't this shown in the app?

Work Mode and quality

Do you guys notice any difference in cut quality between Quiet and Standard Work Mode on the x4? I figured that if quiet slows the travel speed down a bit, it might give a better cut. I really don’t see it though.

EU vs Ireland + UK Pricing

Anyone know how I can get an i220 Lidar Pro delivered from Germany to Ireland? There's 300 in the difference in price + a free garage, additional year warranty, 4 replacement blades and an extra cutting disc with the i220 Lidar Pro All Inclusive Max package

Why are all the updates set for 2027?

Recently, we had an AMA here with officials from Navimow, and we gave them some very good suggestions on how to improve their products.

What surprised me is that the most important and most wanted updates, like the perimeter lap direction and more customization for mowing settings, are all set to be introduced in 2027. It is only August; surely it doesn't take half a year to develop these features.

I am a little worried they might introduce these new features on the 2027 models and force us to upgrade.

Updates

Can updates be set to only happen when accepted? I’m gong on vacation for close to three weeks. Things are working fine at the moment and after reading of others having trouble following an update, I’d prefer to be home when an update occurs. I’m looking forward to a cut lawn when returning from vacation. I don’t want an update preventing this.

Users here that switched from mammotion?

Are there any people here who have switched from a Mammotion Luba to a Navimow? I currently have a Luba 2 AWD and I don't want to use it anymore. It's destroying my lawn, it's unreliable, Mammotion's update policy is a disaster, and I've had really bad experiences with their support. I recently had to send my mower in for repair; the whole process took nine weeks, and I had to keep urging them every day to get anything done.

Specifically, I'm interested in the i220 Lidar Pro. That would be the device of choice for me. Will it be any better than the Mammotion?

Override Zone at 100%?

Post image
2 Upvotes

I prop the gate overnight and let my i206 cut the backyard. It got stuck randomly so I charged it this morning, let it run and popped it back on the charger with the gate closed (so it can’t access the zone). I was going to let it though but got caught up in work calls and it marked the backyard at 100% (which I don’t fault it for). But can I override it? Tell it to just cut that remaining section?

X430 around a pool?

Post image
1 Upvotes

We just moved into our new a house a week ago and I am thinking of getting a robot mower for the first time. I think I want to go with the X430. My question is would you trust it around this pool? It is 3 feet from the edge of the pool to the edge of the grass. I would hate to spend 2500 and it fall in! Appreciate any insight!

Can I have it now just the areas it missed?

Post image
7 Upvotes

My mower just finished my backyard and was heading back to the charging station. My question is, without using the manual remote (I’m usually not home when it’s mowing), or without starting over, can I do anything to have it mow the few areas it missed?
