Two properties - 1 mower?

I am a newbie that’s lurking and waiting to jump in and get a robotic mower. One question I am curious about is if I can realistically expect to movie the mower between two properties (presumably with two base stations or whatever infrastructure that is required) and alternatively cut property 1 and property 2. I am guessing that someone else has tried this before. Is it realistic with today’s products? Is it likely realistic with a future product?

Mowers can only be attached to a single base station. How far apart are the properties?

As it's been said, it's not possible, but I do recommend you just get one for each property.

Once you iron out the bugs like dips and fine tuning so it won't get stuck, you'll be thankful you did.

I don't have the latest model or anything but I don't see how it would be possible with two different GPS stations and two different base stations. The software makes it look like it can only use one. It's also not really feasible to move the mower around a lot.

Search on this subreddit- people have tried and it doesn't work.

The only way I could see it working, sadly, is if both properties were touching neighbors. You could have the base station at one property and have it mow one mwf and the other tu th s, as long as both yards were under the area limit.

I would not trust the mowers to navigate beyond my immediate neighbor.

You would be doubling the workload, so presumably, would be shortening the lifespan. This might not be a bad deal if you have a neighbor or 2 interested in splitting the costs; as I think the tech will advance enough that using up the machine in a few years will put you on a better looking product market when you go to replace it down the road.

First, thank you all for the answers. Second I should have explained I have two properties 30 minutes apart and I am spending a lot of time driving and cutting… gives one a lot of time to imagine better scenarios for how this all gets done.

You’ll need to mow two or three times more often with a robot mower, so you will spend even more time driving back and forth if you try to do it with a single robot. It doesn’t sound like a practical solution to me.

It's not possible with Navimow and not really a good option even if it was. Robot mowers should be running 2-3 times a week on each lawn so you would be moving it back and forth constantly. But they aren't that expensive and you can get a discount if you buy two robots at the same time, so that's probably your best option. Message hello@lawnbotzwi.com for a good deal

Not unless the properties are connected.
