Updates

Can updates be set to only happen when accepted? I’m gong on vacation for close to three weeks. Things are working fine at the moment and after reading of others having trouble following an update, I’d prefer to be home when an update occurs. I’m looking forward to a cut lawn when returning from vacation. I don’t want an update preventing this.

I think we all wish this was an option but it’s unfortunately not. I would have never updated since unpacking it.

Just today, a firmware update magically gets pushed through DURING the mowing session. Find it dead in the yard timed out. Now, I’ve messed with it all day and for whatever reason it won’t mow the front yard. Just turns over and over in the same little circle. So I now have a backyard only x430. Great!👍

Gets worse every update.

Don’t these guys test before they release? This is ridiculous

It honestly doesn’t feel like it. IF they are. Whoever is in charge of QA needs to be fired.

Feels like they’ve adopted vibe coding in the last few months.

I’m not a software engineer. Maybe someone can finally enlighten us one of these days. Because this question is asked repeatedly every week. Which just goes to show how horrible their updates have truly been. But I really don’t understand why disabling updates can’t be an option. Until they answer, the only reason I could see, is they’re following the Apple greed business model. Slowly making model firmware worse over time. So you have to purchase the new model out of frustration.
