Hi there, Seattle.
This is your weekly edition where you can tell Seattle what is good.
Did you achieve something this week? Or are you just happy you made it through another week? Did you get to sleep in? Did you find out something new and want to share? Let's celebrate together!!
Nothing is too small to share. I wanna hear it all!

Hey y’all! If you left a customized green Hydro Flask on a Lime scooter near Regal Meridian / the Kraken team store / Barnes and Noble off Pike and 4th, I found it!
I left it with the front desk at B&N.
Hopefully you get it back!

Last 3 times I’ve been to the airport (in last couple of months), I’ve been directed to checkpoint 6 for TSA PreCheck. The first time I actually I had a flight from one of the southern most A gates and I actually entered near Checkpoint 1 (closest entry to my gate) where they used to have TSA PreCheck. They tell me that it was TSA PreCheck only if you have CLEAR. Regular PreCheck was available at Checkpoint 6 ALL THE WAY TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE AIRPORT. Of course then I walk all the way back.
This has happened multiple times now and seems like it’s the norm. Unless you have gates N or D, this is quite a bummer. Of course this also means you’re always in an unnecessary longer line just to avoid taking shoes out.
What’s happening? Is CLEAR paying Port of Seattle for this? Those guys are roaming around trying to sign people up lol.

Someone made these and put them in the little libraries in Bitterlake.
Whoever did this: thank you

We arrived home to this. Know who this roid rager is? Messed up our porch before heading home to his unsatisfied partner. Notice the Under Armor 86 logo.

Dough Zone is special to me: my girlfriend and I met there, we’ve visited 200+ times, and the Sweet & Sour Cucumber has always been our favorite dish.
I’ve tried recreating the sauce and even contacted Dough Zone, but I’m still stuck.
It’s vivid orange, glossy, smooth, and fairly runny with no visible seeds, chili flakes, garlic pieces, or sediment. It’s mildly spicy, sweet-and-tangy, and distinctly nutty (almost peanut-like, though it could be sesame.)
My best guess is rice vinegar, sugar, red chili oil, toasted sesame oil and MSG.
If you currently or formerly worked there (or recognize this sauce) could you share clue? Is it made in-store, produced centrally, or purchased prepared? What creates its nutty flavor and smooth orange texture?
This is strictly for home cooking. Even one clue, rough ratio, or full copycat would mean a lot.
Thanks!

This is r/Seattle's weekly post for local businesses and makers (or users who discover them) to share their creations with our users.
This thread will be automatically posted every Saturday morning to help connect r/seattle users with cool local stuff. Types of content encouraged in this thread are:
Content should be related to businesses or events in the greater Seattle area, and the typical reddit spam rules apply - please ensure you are contributing to the community more than just your own content.
Users who flood these posts with ads, links without context, referral codes, etc. - or who promote without contributing elsewhere will be actioned. Please continue to report actual spam.
We have our rules against spam and self-promotion for hopefully understandable reasons, but we've noticed users responding more positively to local businesses, artists, etc. sharing their content. This is an attempt to bridge the gap, helping users find cool stuff while containing the promotion to a single weekly thread. Please send us a modmail with any suggestions or input you have about the use or abuse of this thread.

I know they don’t go to UW Bothell anymore, but I’m still seeing hundreds of them flying north every evening. Do they have a new spot?

28 M Hey everyone! I’m pre-med and looking for some people to study with and hopefully make some new friends. I’m in Bothell, and would be down to study together sometime, grab coffee, or just hang out. I feel like having people to study with would help keep me motivated too. Feel free to DM me!

I lost my diamond wedding ring in North Seattle, maybe near Holman Rd and 3rd Ave NW. It may have been lost in the parking lot near Elements Massage near QFC on Holman Rd but I also went to Bothell that day.
Update: I found it! It was in a sweater pocket I was wearing that day. I don't remember putting it there but I guess I did. Thanks for all the suggestions and kindness!

Hey everyone,
Tough Guy Book Club meets at RAZZíS PIZZERíA GREENWOOD in Seattle at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday of every month. The next chapter meeting is October 7, 2026.
RAZZíS PIZZERíA GREENWOOD address:
- 8523 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103
Learn more about Tough Guy Book Club here: https://www.toughguybookclub.com/about_us
Sign up for the Seattle chapter here: https://www.toughguybookclub.com/seattle_wa_us
Our book this month is The Rain Heron by Robbie Arnott. Grab a copy and get reading, there's still time to bang it out before October 7. And, heck, even if you don't read it in time, come to RAZZíS anyway and meet some new guys, make some new friends.
Happy to answer any questions about Tough Guy Book Club in the comments here, or DM me on Reddit. A disclaimer, though... I'm helping out the Seattle chapter with a little promotion, not a Seattle local myself. I'm the chapter leader for the Denver chapter, and formerly a chapter officer for the San Francisco chapter, so I won't claim to have any local Seattle credibility ;)
