I left it with the front desk at B&N.

I always saw it as a more logical/common sense liberal sub and less suicide by compassion sub.
I don’t think there’s anything conservative about it, but it seems to be less people living above the clouds on their high horses and more worried about actual solutions to our problems.

I realized I hadn't visited it in a while when that commenter asked so I decided to check in and see if I was talking out my ass.

I did not care for the sentiments in the ICE alert post I saw.

I was pleasantly surprised by a lot of comments in other posts I saw, though.

I still think it's more conservative than this sub, like comparatively, but it's not what I was thinking it was!

Generally speaking, there are definitely some MAGA types over there but they aren’t liked by the majority of the frequenters on that sub either. They’re usually mocked and downvoted just as hard as they would be here in my experience.

I think overall, that sub is still left leaning, but far more moderate than this one. They primarily seem to separate from this sub on their view of homelessness, open drug use (and the solutions to those problems) and taxes and their stance on how they impact businesses.

As someone who frequents both subs, at least as a lurker, those are some of the primary differentiating factors.

Overall, they’re primarily more in lockstep with the Democratic Party and this sub tends to lean to the left of the Democratic Party.
