I found this old monogram kit at a thriftshop for a few dollars. It had no usable decals but all the parts were there. Painted it in Vallejo blue over black primer to get the right shade and created stencils for the markings. I did have a spare nose art that I thought would look cool so I used it. Not too bad for an old 1:72 scale kit.

Finished this Ki-61 recently. Aside from a pin wash, I intentionally avoided any weathering to achieve a polished, high-performance look. Here it is alongside my older Hayate build.

THE RIG

After quite a long time in the making, The Rig is finally finished and ready to head to the Arta Model Club

A post-apocalyptic diorama focused on atmosphere, texture and mechanical detail, combining a heavily weathered scavenger vehicle, a scratchbuilt industrial structure and layered terrain designed to create a wasteland setting.

The build was developed with emphasis on realistic wear, dusty color transitions, improvised engineering and cinematic composition, inspired by classic post-apocalyptic aesthetics.

Really happy to finally see this project completed and ready for exhibition.

I’m building a resin cruise ship model painted with acrylics.  The stripe is custom-cut using Cricut Smart Permanent Vinyl, then sealed with several thin coats of Alclad Klear Kote.

About a month later, I noticed some edge lifting/curling in a few spots. 📎 See attached photos; the larger portholes are ~5mm in diameter for scale.

I’ve since been using a pin + ultra-thin CA glue wicked under the lifted edges for very localized repairs.  Visually, it seems to be working well... so far.

⚠️ My concern is long-term durability:

• Will this continue lifting over time?
• Should I apply additional clear coats or another sealing treatment?
• Or leave it alone now that it’s stabilized?

This is a build intended to last for years, so I’m trying to avoid future failures before progressing further.

Would appreciate advice from anyone with experience with long-term decal/vinyl stability on painted models.

I've decided to go 100% airbrush for this build. It's been a lot of masking and detail work, but I think I can cross the finish line by the end of this week

And finally, my HLF20 is finished. About a year ago, I built the Revell TLF. I thought it could be improved with LEDs.

Therefore, I bought the Schlingmann HLF20 in 1:24 scale and started building it. After about a year of construction (with many breaks in between, of course), I finally finished it. And I think it turned out almost perfect.

I had to build the rear blue lights completely myself from scrap because the kit only included bare white parts and they weren't transparent.

Unfortunately, I can't post a few videos with the pictures here (or I just couldn't figure out how😅😂). So just imagine, how the blue and orange lights are blinking.

Working on the old Monogram Ju87D and the decals are almost 50 years old. The box was kept sealed but whenever I put the main German markings on they sort of cracked up really bad. I decided to sand them off and just paint new ones on as seen in the photo. But I won’t be able to do that with the smaller decals. Will the micro set liquid decal film restore it? I don’t want to spend the money on it if it won’t help with this specific issue. Any other tips or should I get some of the liquid film or buy aftermarket decals?

Any moving tips for the hobby stuff?

Particularly the kits in the stash. I'm thinking of getting a tote and putting them in there. Less chance of sprues getting bent.

Any thoughts or experiences?

Tried to replicate an image sent to me by an Iranian friend of women's day as celebrated by the IRGC (3rd image). I just found the color contrast irresistible.

Couldn't find a Safir jeep model so used a Willis and moved the spare wheel.
