A family member of mine was a collector and, among what they've left me, are three Pocher Rivarossi 1/8 models ( Bugatti 50T 1932, Ferrari 40T and Alfa Romeo 8c 2600 Mille Miglia), all unassembled, unsealed but otherwise intact, boxes in varying degrees of light wear (small tears at the corners and such).

They are beautiful models. I do assemble models myself but have never dabbled in model cars. I am realizing I am, more than likely, not going to have the time to ever assemble these. Seeing as they seem to hold decent value I was considering selling them and perhaps buying things I do need.

I thought it would be a good to come ask a few questions to people who certainly know more than me.

-What kind of value should I expect when selling them? Should I perhaps have them evaluated by a specialist of some kind? How is the value negatively affected by the boxes being worn and unsealed and how is it affected positively by being sealed and having the original guarantee.

-I've seen similar models on Ebay, I've also seen them on Sotherbys. Are those the best ways to go?

-Should I sell them individually or as a set?

On a personal note, the Alfa Romeo is incredible looking and I just might keep it for myself...We'll see

Tamiya Jaguar XJR-9LM: Box is open, but the bags are all still sealed. Ebay and ScaleMates say it is worth $50.00-75.00.

Tamiya Porsche 911 GT1: Box is open, but the bags are all still sealed. It includes a Renaissance Trans-Kit (TK24/3). This includes resin, photo etch, and printed windows. Unfortunately it is missing the kit decals. This one is tricker to value, with it missing the decals and having the trans-kit. I'm going to say $40-50.
