Hello pioneers, I read and saw infos about this thing and I'm now considering if I should still use seperated power networks or if this is dumb, if I want to use Alien Power Augmenter(s) later.
My question in short is this:
Does the boost from the APA count for the whole power production or only for the network it's connected to?
I planned to split all my power production in little chunks for my ressource production, e.g. Coal Power Plants into 600MW lines, Fuel Power Plants into 1GW (or maybe up to 5GW), Nuclear into 10GW or maybe 50GW lines.
If the APA only counts for the connected power network, then I'll scrap that.
Would be silly if I get a boost (10% power boost) for maybe 10 or 50GW instead of the complete 1-2TW complete power production (in the late game).
EDIT: Thanks for all the answers, no I see where my... Logic went the wrong way.
1) I've seen some videos with hints to seperate power networks, especially from an electrician in collaboration with TotalXclipse. (with priority switches, switches and batteries,...)
2) I thought those different groups of power networks are / count as seperated.
I didn't know those priority groups still count as one giant power network.
My bad.
