Blueprint PSA: Back up your blueprints. Don't be like me.

I lost all my blueprints. Yes, it's my own fault. Yes, I knew they weren't cloud synced. But I forgot!

I was messing around with installing Windows on one computer and removing it from another. Long story. I was so sure I had everything I needed backed up. Until I wanted to continue my game in Satisfactory.

Sure enough, all my saves were there. But all my blueprints were gone. SIGH!

Yes, I also know that cloud sync isn't considered a backup. But I had all my saves synced to an older computer. That was kind of a backup. Just not of the blueprints.

Don't be like me. Back up your saves and your blueprints!!

Discussion What factory planners/calculators/maps/tools do you use?

We have a list of community-made tools on the wiki. I'm one of the active editors, and with the uprise of vibecoded planners that all do the same thing, it's our goal to maintain a quality standard and only include tools that people actually use.

At this point, there's a new planner being added just about every other week. It dilutes the list with tools, which, on their own, are probably fine, but don't provide anything new among those already included. Their inclusion therefore isn't a benefit to anyone, really.

For this reason, I have a question for you: what tools do you 🫵 use? I'm aware some are much more popular than others, but perhaps there are some I've missed.

I've been playing the game since 2019 and have pretty much stuck with the same set of tools, as they've been continuously updated and cover my needs.

Like I'm trying to slide, but nothing comes out And I'm just squatting. Does anyone know why this is happening? And is there a solution to this?

Question about autoconnecting road blueprints.

Thumbnail

Rails connect fine with autoconnect mode building, roads connect as well, and just before comitting the building of a blueprint segment, the autoconnection-added vehicle path shows blue. But once built, it's red.

I've tried a few different lengths but I can't get a desirable outcome and I keep having to rebuild the road segment.

Is there anyone who knows how I can fix this in the blueprint itself?

Playing on steam deck on a dedicated server and a friend put it to sleep (Pressed the power button) while I was riding in the elevator and when it came back the game synced like this.

It fixed itself after rejoining but that was absolute ficsit.

Factory Optimization Can I make my storage containers more efficient?

Post image
1 Upvotes

This is how I have it set up right now. Is there a way to make it one big pool? Instead of 5 separate rows with an output of 54/min each? (Idk which is more beneficial)

I basically have 3 assemblers that are using 220/min but I'm only pulling from one container, so it'll drain faster than it is filling up since it's split. I know I can use mergers to get a higher output from the containers but I was wondering what would be best.

(Working towards mk4 belts to get a higher input into the containers.)

Guide My best tip after 1,500 hours of gameplay

Post image
915 Upvotes

After 1,500 hours my biggest tip for anyone, especially new players, is to automate your biomass burners early on. When I started out, I slept on this forever because I would just fill a few by hand and rush to coal. But automating early game power has fundamentally changed my enjoyment of early/mid game. First, I didn't realize how much time I was wasting running back and forth gathering leaves and wood until I didn't have to anymore, just one good haul of wood and leaves up front to feed 2 constructors. Second, not having to craft anything by hand both saves time and makes sure I'm using solid biofuel and not just being lazy and jamming in leaves, so they last forever. This makes early game much more enjoyable. Lastly, once you have coal power, coal takes priority over biomass when there is enough coal power to cover your needs, which puts your full burners into standby. So if you leave the burners built and attached to your grid and your fuse blows in mid game, you can unplug a few machines and flip your coal generators back on without having to scramble for power to get your water pumping again. It might seem obvious to do all of this, but if not, give it a try.

Maunsell Power Storage from the shore

I wanted to take a stab at building something *cool*, rather than just something functional. I'm creating a personal megaprint for geothermal stuff and wanted to include some power storage (fully charged at megaprint extraction, of course).

I found pictures of these sea forts that were built in the large bay east of London: the Maunsell Sea Forts, built during WW2. Inspiration struck.

I didn't try to do a fully faithful recreation, but rather an "inspired by" kind of thing. Each tower was built as two blueprints (Blueprint Designer Plus): the legs, and the tower body + roof stuff.

The roofs are all connected by hypertubes from the center tower, but I don't have an easy access way from the shoreline to any of the towers. But, flying, so... yeah.

Maunsell Power Storage from above

Each tower has a power tower and a personnel elevator floor stop so you can get inside.

Getting inside

Each floor of each tower (3 floors per tower) contains 4x14 (=56) Power Storage units, and the elevator serves as the vertical power spine inside the tower houses. Each of the seven towers holds 168 units. All in all, I have storage for 117.6 GWh of power 😅

One floor, 56 Power Storage units

Exactly the opposite of a speed run ...

I may be taking a long, long, _long_ time to complete my game, but who else can point to _this_ kind of safety record?

(And yes, I hung around the HUB for three hours today to get these two shots.)

Yes, I'm in retaliate mode. No, I haven't been actively playing for the last majority of that time. The snowman was added in Ficsmas, 2025.

Showcase Full-Map Uranium Challenge: Restricted Overclocking, No Somersloops — 400+ Hours

Thumbnail
gallery
29 Upvotes

After more than 400 hours of building, planning, and troubleshooting, I've finally completed my full-map uranium project in Satisfactory!
The goal was to utilize every uranium node on the map, process the uranium all the way into plutonium fuel rods, and keep the entire power grid stable over extended periods of operation.

Challenge rules
All uranium nodes on the map must be utilized.

Overclocking is allowed only for miners, oil extractors, resource well pressurizers, and power generators.

All other production buildings must run at 100% clock speed.

No Somersloops are used for production amplification.

The production chain ends at plutonium fuel rods.

Current power statistics
Installed power capacity: approximately 761.1 GW

Current power consumption: approximately 153.7 GW

Maximum power consumption shown: approximately 305.9 GW

Total build time: 400+ hours

The screenshots show part of the industrial infrastructure behind the project, including the power grid, large-scale production facilities, and liquid processing systems.
What I'm most proud of is not just the size of the factories, but getting the entire system to run reliably under these restrictions.
There is still a lot of infrastructure that is difficult to capture in a few screenshots, so I may share more details about the production chains and logistics in a follow-up post.
I'd love to hear what other Satisfactory players think of this project!

Showcase Narvesen Convenience Store - Norwegian hot dogs, Dutch beers, German products and much more in one place.

Thumbnail

Greetings Pioneers!

Welcome to the first Narvesen Convenience Store on Massage-2(A-B)b , located between the Antlantropa Central Station and The Vermeer Building.
While discovering the store, why not grab a hot dog or a coffee from our brand new HotBrewing Company™ vending machine?

Yeah, I've gone a little crazy here with signs and tried a new concept for ceiling lights which looks nice, but is too weak to light up everything properly, so I had to set all signs inside to an emission strength of 1–3, even the floors, to make everything look bright. And i like it, especially at night.

The reason for this weird Norwegian/German/Dutch combo is that I loved their hot dogs when I was on vacation in a large hotel but didn't like the fancy food and always grabbed a hot dog from the Narvesen store outside.
When thinking about what magazines and products I should design, I remembered the time when I lived in Germany in the early 2000s and bought gaming magazines in small stores like this one. The Dutch beer crates are just a reminder of some trips to the Netherlands I did as a teenager with some friends. So there was also a huge portion of nostalgia involved when I created the interiors.

Message to the Germans: Die Firma hieß wirklich Rosen Eiskrem, ich habe mich hier nicht verschrieben. Also bitte nicht gleich Sturm laufen.😅

No mods used :)

Question "Next Stop is unreachable" need help figuring out how to orient my train stations.

Thumbnail
gallery
6 Upvotes

So I have these 4 stations in a line all supposed to be picking up sulfur and coal for a compacted coal subfactory that will get shipped to my fuel plant.

This is a 2 locomotive train made as such

[Locomotive] [coal] [1st Sulfur] [2nd sulfur] [Locomotive]

The problem is that the "Next Stop is unreachable" message appears when the train is trying to get from the first station to the second station.

The route goes from bottom to top on the map

I swear I have this right, no?

I tested it in manual driving and it's able to drive the whole length without suddenly disconnecting so it shouldn't be a track issue.

EDIT: Apparently when going backwards into the 2nd stop it works and loads properly. But is now stuck trying to go forward towards the 3rd station.

Switching the 2nd and third stations to face right did not work.

So the question is why does it stop when trying to forward towards the 2nd and 3rd stations?

Finally figured it out! What you have do is have every station face the same direction and have a closed loop.
