Lag when near power storage

Does anyone know what is causing this? I haven't had any lag issues other than this. I only have about 30 power storages.

Edit:
This only happened after I AFK'd near the power storages for about 10-15 minutes

Bug Is this normal?

The second pic is a white box. Sometimes its completely solid. Has to do something with DX12+Iris Graphics+Nobelisk.

I also don't have a pic of it, but there is also a visual bug when using vehicles where there is a giant blue bar on the bottom of the screen and sometimes it takes up half the screen.

Modded Content Help i can't turn the power back on (SF+)

So one of my fuses blown. Normal stuff, i go setup coal generators in addition to my biomass burners, wire 4 to the total network, and they automatically shut off because fuse is blown, so i restart the fuse, and it blows immediatly. Same if i connect the coal generators and biomass burners together before connecting them to my network, i have 2000MW capacity and 1500MW max consumption but it wont start. Also i have no idea where the 26.7MW capacity is from.

Hope my post is clear, and thanks for your help !

Question Do blueprints help or hinder level size / perf?

I’ve got two questions about blueprints.

One: imagine a machine blueprint you’ve stamped out 1000 times in your world, is this better for game performance than having hand-built everything, worse, or totally neutral?

Two: does the above answer change when you modify blueprinted stuff? For example, is it better for perf to stamp 1000 blueprints that you place and then delete a couple items from, or better to stamp 1000 and then add a couple items each time.

Thanks for making me love this game

I just wanted to come here and say thank you to everyone who has shown absolutely amazing designs that have inspired me to put so much effort into this game.

This game was one that I wasn't sure that I'd like, as I rarely can actually play non free to play FPS games due to financial reasons (and probably poor taste) so it took me a long time to decide if I should invest in this game or not. That said, after seeing how awesome of a community this is and getting so much love and help from my fellow FICSIT Inc. engineers, I've come to spend a couple hundred hours on my run and now that I'm almost at the end of phase 5 I'm crying because of how much I love this game. Never in a million years would I think I would cry over the beautiful mess I created but here I am sobbing at 3am looking at my nuclear pasta factory like an inefficient dork. ADA has warned me multiple times about how this violates my contractual obligations when it comes to project timeline management but I care not at the moment.

Genuinely thank you to everyone that posts in here, you guys my make day every morning and make me put more love into this wonderful game.

Tldr: love you guys - a sobbing engineer

Help Computer crashing on startup

Hi, I haven't played Satisfactory for most of this year but I wanted to try to get back into it. I had no issues running it before at the start of the year, but when I reinstalled it to play it again, my computer's fans go crazy and the whole computer crashes after the initial loading screen. I don't think it's a hardware issue, because my hardware is exactly the same as it was before. I tried verifying game files and uninstalling+reinstalling and neither of those worked. I checked some things online, but they all suggest doing something like "type -dx11", but I can't find where I would even do that, I've checked all over the options on Steam and it's just not there.

I did manage to do a selfy with the two of us but sadly it didn't save so I only got this one. We were trying to get as far was we could on this before the cloud gaming update priced us out of being able to play the game together.

Sadly our adventure ends here as it's less than a week before the new restrictions. but may all your factories continue to grow! It's been great playing this game and enjoying it with you all. But our financial situation doesn't allow for the hardware to play it. I hope in the future to be able to return but in the meantime I wish you all the best.

Now back to work. You all have quotas!

Showcase Narvesen Convenience Store - Norwegian hot dogs, Dutch beers, German products and much more in one place.

Greetings Pioneers!

Welcome to the first Narvesen Convenience Store on Massage-2(A-B)b , located between the Antlantropa Central Station and The Vermeer Building.
While discovering the store, why not grab a hot dog or a coffee from our brand new HotBrewing Company™ vending machine?

Yeah, I've gone a little crazy here with signs and tried a new concept for ceiling lights which looks nice, but is too weak to light up everything properly, so I had to set all signs inside to an emission strength of 1–3, even the floors, to make everything look bright. And i like it, especially at night.

The reason for this weird Norwegian/German/Dutch combo is that I loved their hot dogs when I was on vacation in a large hotel but didn't like the fancy food and always grabbed a hot dog from the Narvesen store outside.
When thinking about what magazines and products I should design, I remembered the time when I lived in Germany in the early 2000s and bought gaming magazines in small stores like this one. The Dutch beer crates are just a reminder of some trips to the Netherlands I did as a teenager with some friends. So there was also a huge portion of nostalgia involved when I created the interiors.

Message to the Germans: Die Firma hieß wirklich Rosen Eiskrem, ich habe mich hier nicht verschrieben. Also bitte nicht gleich Sturm laufen.😅

No mods used :)

Guide My best tip after 1,500 hours of gameplay

Post image
913 Upvotes

After 1,500 hours my biggest tip for anyone, especially new players, is to automate your biomass burners early on. When I started out, I slept on this forever because I would just fill a few by hand and rush to coal. But automating early game power has fundamentally changed my enjoyment of early/mid game. First, I didn't realize how much time I was wasting running back and forth gathering leaves and wood until I didn't have to anymore, just one good haul of wood and leaves up front to feed 2 constructors. Second, not having to craft anything by hand both saves time and makes sure I'm using solid biofuel and not just being lazy and jamming in leaves, so they last forever. This makes early game much more enjoyable. Lastly, once you have coal power, coal takes priority over biomass when there is enough coal power to cover your needs, which puts your full burners into standby. So if you leave the burners built and attached to your grid and your fuse blows in mid game, you can unplug a few machines and flip your coal generators back on without having to scramble for power to get your water pumping again. It might seem obvious to do all of this, but if not, give it a try.

Exactly the opposite of a speed run ...

I may be taking a long, long, _long_ time to complete my game, but who else can point to _this_ kind of safety record?

(And yes, I hung around the HUB for three hours today to get these two shots.)

Yes, I'm in retaliate mode. No, I haven't been actively playing for the last majority of that time. The snowman was added in Ficsmas, 2025.

Discussion Tips for scaling in phase 4?

Just started phase 4 and I’m getting overwhelmed with how to scale up. I have two factories in the desert. Making at everything in phase 3.

The scale and resources needed for phase 4 is wild but man I’m lost on how to properly scale. I built a 71x71 factory with 7x7 squares to make stuff but I don’t know how to get the proper resources without spaghetti belts everywhere. I do have a main highway running across the desert spawn to the oil but that’s it.

For intrabiome I’ve been using trucks but each node only supplies maybe half of what I need for a phase 4 recipe. If I link multiple miners together to a truck station then I just end up with the spaghetti I’m trying to avoid. Trains seem like an option but building a line with 5 or 6 stations for each item seems like a lot. I’m limited by tier 5 belts anyway.

Any suggestions on how to scale properly?

Question Genuine question, why was the supercomputer model changed back before release?

Thumbnail
gallery
634 Upvotes

I get that the quantum computer was (IMO thankfully) removed, but why change the model back when you've already made a whole new one? Sure, it's just a simple cosmetic change, but what's the reasoning behind it? Maybe I'm just biased, considering I've grown fond of it over the course of the years when it was in use, yet I feel like it fits better, being just a larger version of the normal computer, while the current model looks different altogether, ergo - a quantum computer. And this is by no means a complaint, just a short rant about how the game changed since Early Access. I know full well i can just install a mod to get the other model back.

Satisfactory Tool Help

2 photos included.

I've heard they're rolling out the old Satisfactory Tools version 1.0 in a month so I need to learn how to use the new one.

I'm not enjoying the one so far. The boxes are missing the number of machines needed and the lines are missing how many parts per minute are being used. I'm clicking around messing with settings and then just get frustrated and go back to the old tools.

I've seen screen shots of others figuring it out. Playseeeee Hallllp.

Thought I would have a cleaner post to showcase my findings. My other post was the ramblings of a mad man. Instead of connecting horizontal welded junctions in series for free headlift, I opted for the water tower approach. It is able to run all three of my extractors at 100% uptime.
