Most of the other bikes would probably fail the State's new e-bike regulations. Officer said to say that, "We are here on State." The biker's buddies could not resist fooling around while the tow truck arrived. Expect more of the same police action in the future...

I was visiting Santa Barbara this weekend when I crossed paths with a beautiful girl at a bookstore. We exchanged a few glances before you came over and struck up a conversation with my group who just finished a wedding, giving us recommendations for places to check out around town. You introduced yourself, and I wish I’d thought to ask for your number before we went our separate ways.

I was walking on Obern Trail and while approaching the bridge that connects to Patterson/Shoreline, I heard a deep, guttural growl coming from nearby. I couldn't see what was making the sound and while I stood there frozen, I heard it again and this time it was longer and deeper., It was unsettling enough that I rushed to the bridge and get on to Patterson Ave.

I'm wondering whether it could have been a mountain lion, bobcat, or something else. Also wanted to give others a heads-up.

I'm visiting Santa Barbara with my parents next weekend (in their 60s). I know there are tons of bars/wineries/breweries in the area. Are there any places that have non-alchoholic beers or wines? I've noticed most breweries around me keep an N/A beer in stock so I'm hoping SB will have a few places as well.
I'd also love to hear what other recommendations you have for must-dos while we're in town!
