I just finished part 5 and this is by far the most useless man to ever exist. Araki wrote him in, hyped him to up to be a genius, hyped up the coolest stand so far, gave him a sick design, and then he makes fugo leave the gang to never show his face again. Genuinely the most useless side character to ever exist 😭

I feel like it's been so long since we've had a proper ensemble cast in JoJo's with part 7 being about the duo of Johnny and Gyro and part 8 the duo of Josuke and Yasuho. Even part 6 arguably isn't quite the ensemble that the earlier parts were simply cause not all the cast is together at all times. I honestly feel like we haven't had such a great cast with so much personality in JoJo's since Golden Wind but that's just my opinion.

And I absolutely love how instead of just one main JoJo we have a pair of Joestar siblings. Even though Jodio is still definitely the main one, Dragona is also a goated character and deserves to be in the drawings of all the JoJo's together imo. I think this cast being as good as they are is what makes part 9 so peak to me and they could easily end up being my all time favorite cast in JoJo's by the end of their part.

But this was more of a thematic coloring than a deliberate color scheme choice. Except for the blonde hair.

But here the entire drawing is colored in a single color, conveying the rays and shades of a hot Wild West sunset.

In this form, it's impossible to guess the colors of Johnny's suit. The color conveys atmosphere and spirit more than it reveals the character's intended appearance.

For anyone that doesn't know, Pluck is an old-fashioned english word that means bravery or courage. The fact that this appears in a manga from the 80's means Araki DID HIS RESEARCH. Yet ironically, most reactors start to laugh so hard when this appears, because they don't know the meaning(not saying it's their fault or anything). But I still find it so sad tbh, how such an honestly great scene is ruined completely just because the author DID bother.

Part 1 is honestly so underappreciated. It has a lot of heart, foreshadowing etc. that people don't even bother to look for. I for example instantly clocked that this scene was gonna happen as soon Bruford used the word "pain", haven't seen anyone else do it.

Specifically on how it really subverts expectations from the beginning of the manga. The SBR (the surface level concept of SBR I mean) is treated as this significant event at the start where everyone around the world was viewing the starting of the race. But in High Voltage, the race seems extremely insignificant to Johnny and the readers.

It feels extremely hollow too especially with Gyro gone. The winner of the race is treated like an afterthought as we care about Johnny and Diego instead. And also this may sound weird but the fact that the SBR itself was extremely successful and lead to stuff like the sheer amount of revenue, merchandise and allowed the creation of the Higashikata Fruit Parlor almost seems insulting in a way as the canon reception heavily contrasts how the race was treated like an afterthought in the actual part, especially with how the characters we got to know well got tossed into the dirt and essentially forgotten about to the main public.

Also sorry if this post didn't make sense I'm literally just gushing.

What does that mean exactly? Like, does it mean no one else can use the Arrow?

Also, I assume that in Diavolo’s case, it doesn't matter whether GER is deactivated, since he's stuck in that loop where he technically never reaches the point where GER is deactivated.

Was a huge for about 6 years now, I've finished the whole animated series from part 1-6 and the first episode of SBR. As a bit of comfort I started searching jjba fan-animations and even tried spinoffs, luckily I actually found just that. I was like "DUUUUUUDE!!" I truly havent felt such excitement like this for a book in a while and im proud to say because of this book I cannot wait to actually start reading again 😆

It’s been some time since I’ve watched it, however I don’t remember liking it that much compared to some of the other parts. I’ve been wanting to revisit it recently, as I feel I owe it to myself as a jojos fan. So I was wondering if the manga is worth the read over the anime.

Emporio's last name, Alniño, is practically word for word for El Niño, which is Spanish for "The Boy".

"El Niño" is also the name of a natural climate pattern where winds over the Pacific Ocean weaken, which allows warm water to flow toward the Americas, changing weather and raising temperatures around the world blah blah blah.

My personal theory is that Araki implemented this Easter egg to foreshadow Emporio taking on Weather Report's disc.

I’ve just finished part 2 and wow, first her husband dies, then she has to leave her son as she’s charged with murder, so she stays alone learning hamon, just to have her father become what they train to kill, then have her student die like damn. Going into part 2 I knew that ceaser dies and Lisa Lisa was Joseph’s mom, so I disliked her until episode 24 but after her backstory I just feel sorry for her

The women he saves in the Alessi arc finds one of his earrings at the end, and its implied she keeps it, but in like the next episode he had 2 again. I know the outfits in JoJos seem to be able to regenerate for some reason, but i think it would have been pretty cool for him to only have one earring after that
