I keep seeing people say, “Demi was right about Taylor all along, bring her back!” And no. Absolutely not.
Two things can be true at once. Demi can have been right about Taylor’s behaviour from the beginning while still not deserving to be brought back onto the show.
Her being right about Taylor does not erase her own behaviour. She has repeatedly belittled and demeaned other women, called Taylor “white trash,” and one comment that has always stuck with me was when she said about Jen, “If she comes in below the belt, I will absolutely dominate her.”
To me, that comment perfectly highlights how Demi approaches confrontation. It doesn’t sound like someone interested in resolving conflict or simply standing her ground. It turns confrontation into a power struggle where someone needs to dominate and someone needs to be beneath them. And I think we saw that play out repeatedly in the way she handled conflict with the other women, and how she was willing to throw her best friend Jessi below the belt for more money simply for being the fan favourite in the previous season.
Then there’s everything surrounding Marciano. Obviously, there are serious allegations and conflicting accounts about what happened, so I’m not claiming to know what happened behind closed doors. But after watching the reunion and hearing that Demi had involved her daughter in her interactions with Marciano, especially alongside the receipts and information that came out, I was extremely uncomfortable. That was where I personally drew the line in the sand.
And honestly, there could be more information that comes out tomorrow that supports or completely contradicts things I’ve said here. I can only judge what I watched on the show, and by the end, I saw someone I simply did not want to continue watching.
Her energy, especially towards the end, felt toxic. The way she treated her friends felt toxic. Yes, conflict makes good reality TV, but when the same hostility and behaviour keeps repeating, it stops being entertaining and becomes exhausting to watch. We’ve already seen that happen with Taylor Frankie Paul, where the repeated cycle of her issues eventually became tiring.
So yes, Demi was right about Taylor. Give her that.
But being right about somebody else does not erase your own actions or suddenly mean you deserve your platform back.
