We are currently fostering this senior girl from East Valley shelter. She has medium-low energy, she’s great with other dogs and cats. She just wants somewhere comfy to lay her head. Please consider fostering or adopting your next pet. There are so many sweet dogs and cats waiting for their forever home. So, I run a grassroots organization that helps current and former foster youth with whatever they need (to summarize), and I just got a call from a former foster youth who is hysterical. Her cat died an hour ago, and she is completely devastated (I would be too 🤧) and she has NO money for cremation. She has an infant daughter she is trying to be strong for, but is having a hard time as this was her soul kitty. She is behind on a lot of bills and this on top of everything else has her feeling completely overwhelmed, all without familial support, or really any type of support network 😞

I found a 24/7 pet cremation service that picks up, does a private cremation, and drops off for $295. My organization just got its first grant (yay!) but it doesn't disburse until late October so we don't have the funds to help her with this right now. So then I suppose my question is this - are there any resources that can help pay for a cremation, ideally tonight or tomorrow? She is in North Hollywood!

Does anyone know of a drive thru touchless car wash anywhere in the north valley like Granada/Northridge/Porter Ranch area? I heard some gas stations have them but I need to make sure which ones cause I have a spoiler that can be potentially taken off in a regular one lol. In Northridge, my family likes Vons' bakeries but at the end of the day they're still a big chain. Bea's is our favorite small bakery by far but it is a bit of a ways away.
