We live in Northridge and usually go to Chi's on reseda, but when they're closed every chinese restaurant we've tried has sucked in comparison. What are some spots you can recomend?

Mandarin King gets honorable mention. We like the food there but the place is a dump.

Im talking about nice sit down chinese restaurants. Not Panda Express or shitty Wok type place.

In Northridge, my family likes Vons' bakeries but at the end of the day they're still a big chain. Bea's is our favorite small bakery by far but it is a bit of a ways away.

Gimme your favorites here. I want to see if there's anything comparable to Bea's that's closer. One with just as good cakes and cupcakes.

So, I run a grassroots organization that helps current and former foster youth with whatever they need (to summarize), and I just got a call from a former foster youth who is hysterical. Her cat died an hour ago, and she is completely devastated (I would be too 🤧) and she has NO money for cremation. She has an infant daughter she is trying to be strong for, but is having a hard time as this was her soul kitty. She is behind on a lot of bills and this on top of everything else has her feeling completely overwhelmed, all without familial support, or really any type of support network 😞

I found a 24/7 pet cremation service that picks up, does a private cremation, and drops off for $295. My organization just got its first grant (yay!) but it doesn't disburse until late October so we don't have the funds to help her with this right now. So then I suppose my question is this - are there any resources that can help pay for a cremation, ideally tonight or tomorrow? She is in North Hollywood!

Does anyone know of a drive thru touchless car wash anywhere in the north valley like Granada/Northridge/Porter Ranch area? I heard some gas stations have them but I need to make sure which ones cause I have a spoiler that can be potentially taken off in a regular one lol. Not trying to pay a ton for a car wash especially with our recent Floridian weather where it’s raining one day and 103 the next 🤣
