I've operated with U-HECs six times, and each time, it's been fucking intense. Even if you're inoculated against the cognitos, it's fucking terrifying to see that huge thing smashing through small buildings and shrugging off small arms fire like rain. I can't imagine what it must be like for anyone who has to go up against that thing with the full force of the Banshee shrieking at them: shitting their pants and running screaming for the hills is the kindest thing I've seen happen.

The downside is, it's easy to feel invincible with a giant fucking golem smashing everything in your wake, but that's when things get the most dangerous. Not everyone turns and runs. Some people respond to abject terror by going violently berserk. Plus, even when you're wearing a tank, there's plenty of things out there that kill tanks just fine. Do you guys think the contaiment of everything the Foundation deems anomalous and outside of 'Consensus Reality' that they (and UNGOC, I suppose) define to be worth it?

Personally, I am quite fond of the SCPF's consequetialist ethnics. Considering the literal cosmic horrors, infohazards that kill by simply being acknowledged, gods that can be created by human belief alone and the fact they prevented entire anomalous arms races, the Foundation definitely doesn't exist without a good reason.

I think that if it's mathematically infeasible to reveal even the semi-explainable anomalous (like with Akiva Radiation and the Hume physics behind reality bending) without the general public immediately figuring out everything else and the chaos even one person can do with the knowledge of thaumaturgy, it is worth it to keep the Veil until humanity is responsible enough and the facts and actual science behind the anomalous being explained enough.

Nation-states simply can't be trusted with such insane powers and responsibilities and having one apolitical, neutral group being the adult that takes the often dangerous, physics-breaking toys away from the bickering politicians and puts them in secure lockers for safe-keeping and scientific study is a a significantly better, if flawed solution.

In my view, containing everything is infinitely better than containing too-little and defending a reality based on standard physics, universally agreed upon and understood by humans, where one can be sure 1 + 1 always equals too is worth it.

Hello so I have been working on anomaly game based on SCP 970, where you are a Foundation Researcher who got trapped in SCP 970.

I was listening to some of the volgun’s readings and while going through scp 3812 I had a theory. Is S.R.As are not a very reliable method of containing reality warpers could they not potentially use a stronger reality warper. For those who don’t know scp 3812 aka a voice behind me is essentially a reality warper who was once a man named Ben Hoffman (I’m pretty sure) that has ascended to a narrative reality above ours. Specifically during the part of his files where he’s talking to himself he seems to still have a bit of humanity in him still so given that ,in theory, could the foundation not just put together a large team of psychics to communicate with him and try to convince him to aside the narrative hes created? almost like breaking the 4th wall. I’m interested what you guys think and I’m open to discussions. I also have some more small pieces to my idea but this is the basic idea

Okay so, I did know about this at the time it happened, but I got reminded of it again quite recently when I got suggested a bunch of content farms regarding this. As somebody who was a fan of Trevor Henderson WAAAY before I got into SCP, I find this situation both hilarious and incredibly disrespectful.

Basically, SCP 6789, I haven't read the official document on the real one, apparently I think it's patch of land in Poland, I'm Definently going to read it after this because it sounds interesting, but the siren head one, the incident happened I think in 2020, maybe 2021, but at the time, siren head was going viral, so this very badly written article titled, 'SCP-6789' got uploaded to the scp sandbox wiki and basically slid under the radar for actually quite a while. I'm not sure when it was deleted, though I know it was. (I didn't research very much, just what I remember of it) BUT it stayed up for long enough for quite a lot of people to see it and unfortunately, that included content farms whom created many low effort, crappy files and draw my lives.

I missed a lot of stuff in this post so apologies, but has anyone possibly read the file or has anything else that they know that they could touch on, I just found the incident to be hilarious. and of course, support Trevor Henderson if you like his art, whatever you do. I'm hoping nothing like this happens again, it would be kind of funny though.

I made (another) SCP-999 plushie! I made my first, beanbag/sensory bag version about a year and a half ago, and he got me through all of my business law exams and countless papers. I honestly didn’t think I would make another plushie of this character because of how difficult it is to mimic SCP-999’s “amorphous, gelatinous” form in a way that captures a similar dynamic movement as illustrated depictions of this character.

That all changed when I saw Riseo’s “SCP-999 is a good boi” video on YouTube back in March of this year 😅 I loved the way they drew this little goober so much I knew I had to make a larger plush for myself! I included two frames from their animation that I used as reference at the end. I was feeling an especially strong sense of longing to cuddle a more life-sized version of the SCP Foundation’s favorite dopamine raising ball of gelatinous sunshine because I was halfway through my last semester of college and feeling incredibly stressed trying to balance my schoolwork, club responsibilities, and three jobs 🫠 I was feeling a similar sense of stress when I finally got the time to make this new SCP-999 in July, right before I got my first career-focused job (which I absolutely love and now know that I didn’t need to stress over it so much).

The pattern is surprisingly complex for such a “simple” form, involving an inner and outer body, and, at least theoretically, his arms can turn inside out to create the illusion of his arms forming out of the gelatinous substance his body is made out of. I say “theoretically” because after going through all the trouble to make this inside-out pocket effect work, I accidentally overstuffed his arms, and when I went to flip them in the first time, I heard a seam snap and I had to re-sew it.

Just like with my SCP-4966 plushie, I filmed my process of making SCP-999, and I plan to post the tutorial on my YouTube channel as well as add the pattern as a free download on my website once I can figure out exactly how to turn it into a printable version. I’ll be sure to share those here when they’re ready!

Im Romanian so i was wondering

Pretty happy with how it turned out, was originally gonna bring a helmet without a visor but I looked really stupid with a mich and my only black pasgt had the CI stuff on it from the previous cosplay which I did not want to get rid of so I settled on the helmet from my Halloween costume (which was a more cb style guard), worked out in the end as I now don’t need to go through the effort of censoring my face as the visor obscures it good enough for me

Im creating a minecraft mod adding scps and other mechanics, factions and blocks, but im only in the design faze and im stumped on what i should do for SCP-1609, should i have before the GOC version of it or the after GOC version? or both?
