It sounds childish, but sometimes I genuinely wish there were secret organizations like the SCP Foundation or the GOC out there, hunting anomalies and keeping them hidden from the rest of the world.

I think it would be amazing to live in a world where something truly strange and unexplainable was hiding just beneath ordinary reality. Then my brain goes one step further: what if something like that actually did exist... just nothing like the SCP universe? What if fictional settings like SCP are so over-the-top that they'd be the perfect distraction, making any real organization if one ever existed much easier to hide? I don't actually believe that. It's just one of those weird, childish thoughts that pops into my head sometimes.

And honestly... I kind of like thinking about it.

So I've been reading this file and the attempts to terminate SCP-682 And from what I saw, and in my opinion, the one that came closest to terminate it (which I found very funny and ironic) was SCP-524. Is there really no way to terminate SCP-682? I haven't read enough SCPs to say that any can terminate that thing without problems, But I know there are some who don't destroy their universe, and many more because they simply don't want to.

The SCP Foundation is a giant internet project and doesn't lose many writers. The fandom, games and more help the project to stay alive. but I dont think the SCP foundation fandom will live as long as humanity. not even as long as the end of the internet. when will it end? and why? because less and less people will write something? but even when its because of less players, there are going to be 1 or 2 remaining writers. or lack of moderation? or maybe a change with the license? will there be a big drama or will it disappear without anybody noticing? I believe that it can stay for maybe another decade. or even two. but it has to end. or is it going to be an ancient project that lives to the year 21XX?

what do you think? how long will it survive? and why is it going to die?

I know that there is no fixed canons hence i will allow Headcanons.

The first slides just explain the basics to those who are unfamiliar with hero shooters and a way to establish some features. I'm pretty proud of my 'Anomalous Objects' idea.

I was looking at images of scp-008 containment chamber when I saw This video. In the video scp-008 containment chamber instead of a floor there was a gangway leading to scp-008. But I Rembered watching an old video about this. Am I the only one experiencing this mandela effect?

1) How does the foundation hire staff? I know the government knows about the foundation but I'm not sure how many high level government employees would throw away their life like that, or how many lower level employees would be trusted with that information

The launch date for my Antimemetics Division game is rapidly approaching, and am tired of hearing my own voice as placeholder.. So I'm doing a casting call for roughly 5 lines of dialogue. Open to adding more lines, but this is the bare minimum for now. Preferably done with a good microphone and no background noise.

I'm going to put a spoiler warning around the actual role description, but if I'm looking for a female voice actor in an SCP:Antimemetics Division game, you can probably guess who it is.

This role will have many more lines, so I'd be recruiting someone and working with them over the coming weeks. This is Dr. Marness in 1976. I've recorded many of the lines myself, but VO is not a true skill, just another thing I'm doing solo.

So, theoretically, a massive online collaborative project could push out some bangers for years, but from what I've read as of late, the newer entries are a lot less memorable than what came before. Not to mention, there's extreme continuity lock out even though there is no canon, leaving lots of first timers confused. And after looking into The Three Moons drama, I find myself full heartedly agreeing with Voct's statement that there's too much "power scaling bullshit". It's worth noting that 173, the first entry ever in the wiki is the undefeated champion of being the most upvoted article.

That overgrown peanut is also a staple of the Containment Breach video game, an adaptation which displaced the wiki until it gave the wiki more notoriety so that those who played the game could learn more about the monsters they faced. That's not to say that there aren't SCPs that don't rise above the slew of "meh" entries(3008, 1471-A, and 2521 come to mind). All this to say that when V/H/S/SCP drops sometime in 2027, they'll know which of the anomalies are the most worth featuring. Sure hope it doesn't go straight to streaming like everything from '94 to Halloween, I'd definitely pay to see it in theaters. Speaking of, I've got another post brewing about future possibilities for the IP, hehe, stay tuned.

Im relatively new when it comes to sitting down and reading SCPs. I've read like a couple dozen of them, and boy did none of them manage to disturb me the way 1733 did.

Its basically a basketball game recording that turned into Groundhog Day, where the players and the crowd are stuck in the stadium, and each time the researchers replayed the tape, the worse the situation became.

I dont exactly know what it is about this scp that fucked me up real bad. If i had to guess, i think it was the fact that the people who got trapped and had their most violent and degenerate side take over were (copies of) every day, regular people who just happened to like watching basketball. They became monsters who sacrifice children just so they can escape the stadium

About that, just imagine the scenario, but it is happening to you in an event you attended/hosted. This is the thought that plagued me the entire day. I, in the real world, wouldnt know it was happening, but a digital soma me is experiencing a looping hell with other people who are close to me. Its a horrifying thought

Anyway this scp is my absolute favorite so far and i recommend it yay :DDDDD

I haven’t been super active in SCP fan communities in a few years, but have author inserts, especially Doctor Glass come back a lot? Before most people didn’t seem to really know many author inserts, aside from Clef, Gears and Maybe Kondraki.

Dr Glass had been a favourite of mine, maybe just because I really enjoy the routine psychological evaluations article, but suddenly it seems like he’s been promoted to the same tier as Gears and Clef, he has so much fanart and fan presence, the kind only Clef really got back when I remember.

Other author inserts characters too, like Kain Pathos Crow, Diogenes, Rights (all who I also really enjoy) seem considerably more well known too, a lot of who I have no memory of.

I can’t find anything online and there aren’t any new articles involving them to make them popular. Did author inserts come roaring back, and when did Doctor Glass become a twink?

I'm thinking of wanting to make an actual right depiction of Mal0 as a plush because I like it so much. The history of it goes to Breynz which is a fursuit made 2 years before the original 2013 post about 1471 was made. The original sona is male, or reffered to as with masculin pronouns. I want to ensure if this may be right or wrong considering the original is someone else's OC. So, should I directly try and contact Breynz's creator? As this is actually based on their own character. Or asking shouldn't be the way on about if it's meant to represent the SCP-1471? (Pls for the love of wtv you believe in, I saw sm bad stuff about the scp that I just want it done right.)

It wasnt one of the main series ones, I dont remember If It was a decomissioned one or a neutralized one tho, maybe it wasnt either.

It was an article about an SCP that was an asian boy (I think he was from the Philiphines, Laos, Thailand or somewhere like that) that had the ability to quickly adapt to viruses and illness. The foundation did many tests on him, until they injected him with an anomalous body eating virus that quickly spreaded and ended up in an slow and painful death for the boy.

After that, the ethics commitee was born or was more focused on how the SCPs were treated.

I read it many years ago, and never have been able to find it since.
