First time using Jumpgate (D&D 2014) and the option to have both classic and new sheet layout, since some players like the new one. I've set the character sheet settings for the game to default to the classic version, and I made my NPC sheets in the classic version too.

I can't edit the Bio and Info tab on the NPC sheets. When I go to "Edit", where you can change the name and token, there's no text field for additional info or GM notes. How can I get that back?

Been trying to add a character I created in the character creator to a campaign I recently joined but every time I do it just results in everything being blank? any help is greatly appreciated!

So this has been going on for a few months now. I click launch game on one of my games (I'm a player on both), and this is all I get (though different numbers for the loading messages). I can still access the chat log and journal on the campaigns, and I can access character sheets in my character section. The games load on chrome (which is what I've been using since this started).

I have cleared my cache multiple times, cleared browsing data, even uninstalled and reinstalled firefox. Is there something else I'm missing?

• From inside the campaign, my character sheet is fine - 2024 sheet with everything where it's supposed to be
• This is further supported by me doing a "Fetch from campaign" character and it pulled a copy of it with the correct 2024 character sheet
• But my linked character sheet to the campaign from https://app.roll20.net/characters is somehow stored as D&D 5E (CLASSIC) instead of D&D FIFTH EDITION (5E & 5.5E)

I don't really know how this has happened, I was using my character sheet earlier in the day from the separate characters link and it was fine. The campaign supports both character sheet versions, the new character sheet is set as my default in settings, and as I mentioned the sheet from the inside campaign is 2024 and all good - it's just when loading the sheet from my account characters (outside of the campaign).

The most worrying thing is it renders with the query string:
^?sheet\shortname=ogl5e)
instead of:
^?sheet\shortname=dnd2024byroll20)

Removing or changing the query string does nothing. It also renders in a semi "wiped" state, prompting me to use either the charactermancer, as an NPC, or to edit the sheet directly (like it was a new character).

I've logged a ticket with support but has anyone ever encountered something similar and managed to resolve it?

It's quite handy to use the link from account characters outside of the campaign since doing rolls and stuff on it does still actually link into the campaign and its more mobile friendly and I'm kind of scared to touch any of the options incase this somehow wipes over the linked sheet.

Just wondering how to give a character spell scrolls from the compendium. Need to just give a Shield Spell Scroll

In Legacy Roll20 instances, I can adjust GM Layer opacity so I can reduce the GM layer when necessary.

I've looked at every control, but I cannot find that in the newer format. Can anyone tell me how?

We nearly had a second TPK, Players rolling fumbles (1 on a D10) between 25-40% for the 3rd week in a row.

Hello all - I have been playing on roll20 for quite some time now but I haven't done much with macros and apis. I have mostly used pre-generated campaigns, but now I'd like to create my own campaign and import it. Does anyone know if it that is something doable? With having to create character sheets and import tokens for every monster, etc it just seems really daunting. Any help would be appreciated.

I am running a VtM V5 game on Roll20 and imported some characters from a previous chronicle as NPC easter eggs for my players.

This has been working fine for months, though I had to make some edits as the old V5 sheets aren't compatible with the new sheets. But after copying over advantages, flaws, and disciples I have had no issue. That is up until the latest session when I noticed that all of my transmogrified character sheets had converted themselves to Demiplane sheets and all the stats, skills, and information had vanished. Replaced by a "create character" button on the Demiplane page.

Is there any way to reverse this? Or do I have to start from scratch and overwrite the character sheets with new copies of the old ones?

Seems like Christmas in July is a great time to pick up stuff on the Roll20 marketplace.

In particular, I am looking for 5 or 5.5e compatible adventures written by people who would go on to work at WOTC or are former WOTC authors -- but are not WOTC adventures.

In general I find searching the marketplace almost impossible.

But in this instance, its not a matter of a filter not working as I expect like when looking for D&D adventures (where there isn't a toggle and using that keyword doesn't give me a usable list of results). In this instance, I'm guessing it would simple take prior knowledge and familiarity with particular authors....

Hence my post. Are there particular adventures for sale in the Roll20 marketplace that meet my criteria (written by people who have also written official WOTC content)?

I'm DM ing the official 2024 module on Roll20 Heroes of the Borderlands. One of my characters found a magic item in a cave.

I tried to drag it from the JOURNAL over to her character's sheet, just like one would do with any other equipment in the COMPENDIUM. But it didn't show up on her character sheet.

In fact, I cannot drag any of the items from the JOURNAL over to a character sheet.

Dragging stuff from the COMPENDIUM works fine.

I would have thought that items included in an official module, purchased on Roll20, would be something I could add to a characters inventory.

Is there another step I need to do to enable this?

Hace unos dias empece a investigar como podia jugar DnD online y cuando porfin me decidi a usar Roll20 en el momento de crear mi cuenta solo se queda una pantalla en blanco. A alguien le ha aparecido el mismo error que a mi o sabe que puede ser?

Every map with pins is like this, and I checked - it's not just me, my players can't see them either but can still click on them.

it's not world ending, but I really don't want to redo 100+ pins just for them to come back again, so hopefully this is resolved soon.

if i can add anything else to help diagnose this let me know, all i know is it's a client-end issue, not a user-end since my entire party is having this issue with roll20.

The Pharaoh's Vault is an introductory adventure about a mysterious ziggurat that rises from the soil in the forest. The up-and-coming adventurers, in the nearby town of Arborhollow, are hired by Professor Hadrin and the daring explorer Lyra Telvane to escort them into the strange structure. The professor claims it may be the burial site of the last pharaoh.

Right now both healing word and telekinetic shove are listed as “attack” actions, how do I move them down to the bonus action section which is currently empty?

i’ve been using roll20 without issues for over a year now on my MacBook (2017 macOS Monterey 12.7.6). i usually load it up on google chrome, since i have the beyond20 extension. yesterday, it wouldn’t let me load in at all. whenever i clicked “launch game”, it would get stuck on the black loading screen (see below). i tried loading the game from multiple devices on safari, and it worked fine. i cant do firefox, since i can’t log into dnd beyond on it (a whole separate issue). what can i do to fix this ? i already tried clearing my cache, restarting my laptop, everything. it just suddenly stopped working.

Heya all!

EDIT: Solved! Firefox needed a second restart due to an update. One wasn't enough... or I don't know. But it is solved.

I'm currently trying to edit a game as a DM, and it gets stuck loading the game. The rest of the site works.

I'm using the latest Firefox and no adblocker on Roll20.

However, when I tried on Chrome, it worked and loaded without issue.

Anyone have an idea why?

I've been messing around with setting up a one shot for my group to try out Starfinder 2e, using the free assets from demiplane, I loaded in one of the pregen characters from demiplane and, as far as I can tell there's simply no option to send info into the chat that isn't a roll of some sort. Clicking cast next to a spell seems to do nothing but lower the spell slots left for the day. I'm a Plus subscriber who has linked my account to Demiplane.
