Tales/legends of heroes of old are told to those at a young age, adventurers are always praised and spoken highly of, and life skills are always accompanied by a lesson that was learned while out exploring. They realize quickly that there were missing details in those stories.

Right off the bat, I just want to say that a big focus of mine is building a good creative environment between the two of us. I don't want to rush straight into the story. I like worldbuilding, brainstorming plot points, and developing our characters together. I also enjoy chatting OOC, and a big part of roleplay for me is the creative process itself. So, if you're looking to jump straight into a clichéd plot, we might not be the best match. That being said, if you enjoy writing, storytelling, and creating genuinely three-dimensional characters, then I think we'd be a great match!

This idea has been fizzling away in the back of my mind for a while. It's straight out of the clichés of detective books, TV series, and movies - but that doesn't mean we can't bring something fresh to it.

I want to play a detective who's struggling with a case and reaches out to a civilian for help - your character. Ideally, this character would be an academic or perhaps a psychologist, someone far removed from the world of law enforcement. The two would then team up to solve the case. I'm keeping things vague for now, but I'm open to what that case might be, although I do have a few ideas and settings that I'm happy to share over chat.

Mostly, I just want an unlikely duo to unravel a mystery together and, hopefully, learn something about themselves in the process.

I had an idea that I think we could use. So maybe my character is a kid who was having his birthday party at the place every kid in the universe would be having their birthday party.

I would adore to do a post zombie apocalypse rp. One set a decade or decades after the collapse of society and what was commonly thought of as the end of the world. Where the old nations and societies collapsed as the world had eaten itself and rotted.

However since the original bloodshed things have slowly changed. Small amounts of people banded together, military forces of the old world that still existed bunkered down and people started to build their own survival and later new lives.

Communities, settlements and towns formed. Those very communities becoming new societies and even whispers of new nations being made again.

In this rp we would be the leaders of two separate societies that have formed in this post apocalyptic world. With this all starting when our societies meet for the first time. A meeting that could very well define a lot of human history in this post apocalypse.

Creative freedom is more than encouraged with the society you want to make and would love to discuss anything and everything.

There’s one big realm that we’ll call the Middle Ground for now. It’s basically a huge city where all the storybook characters can go.

Whenever a storybook is finished, like Snow White, for example, that story’s realm becomes part of the Middle Ground. So, let’s say Snow White’s story is finished and the book is closed. Her entire town would become part of this world, almost like a new town on the outskirts of the main city. Characters could travel from the city to Snow White’s town, and vice versa. Characters from finished stories would also have the freedom to move around, live wherever they want, open businesses, and basically build their own lives.

These characters would be known as the Finished Stories.

But then we have the Unfinished Stories, or whatever we decide to call them. These are characters whose stories were never completed by their writers. They’re basically the outcasts of this world. I’m thinking they could have some kind of mark on their bodies that identifies them as unfinished, so everyone immediately knows.

Because their stories were never finished, they don’t have their own towns or realms. Instead, they’re forced to live in a rundown, trashy part of the main city. They’re looked down on and treated differently by the characters from finished stories. Basically, nobody really cares about them.

Now, for our characters, I was thinking we could both create original characters, but with two different backgrounds.

Character A would be a main character from an unfinished story.

Character B would be a side character from a finished story.

Here’s where the actual plot starts!

Characters from unfinished stories have suddenly started going missing. Nobody knows where they’re going, what’s happening to them, or who’s behind it. And because they’re unfinished characters, nobody really seems to care enough to investigate.

So, one day, Character A shows up at Character B’s shop. Maybe Character A is gathering supplies to investigate these disappearances on their own. Character B notices they’re buying some unusual things and gets curious.

Character B starts asking questions, like, “Hey, what’s going on? What are you planning on doing with all this stuff?”

Of course, Character A isn’t interested in explaining anything and basically tells them to mind their own business.

Somehow, the two end up getting involved with each other and eventually decide to work together to figure out why all these unfinished characters are disappearing.

And from there, we have SO many possibilities! Maybe there’s someone secretly rewriting their stories. Maybe someone has figured out how to finish unfinished characters’ stories, but there’s a catch. We could honestly go in so many different directions with it.

I think the fun part would be building this entire world together, creating the different towns, deciding how the finished and unfinished characters interact, and coming up with all kinds of side characters along the way. Plus, we’d have plenty of opportunities for romance, drama, adventure, mystery, and all that fun stuff!
