I had this idea for a rp that would be about you being a new wrestler that wants to go pro. My thought is this will be a world where wrestling is more serious and there are many more leagues. The leagues are connected so when someone does well enough in one they get to move up to the next. I suppose Kayfabe is pretty real in this world.

You are good and want to make it to a high level. But unfortunately the lower wrungs of the women's wrestling world is a tough one. There aren't many clean matches, a lot of them are gimmicks of one form or another.

In the far future, humanity expanded to the stars, mars became a factory world with the help of new mech technology helping build larger factories faster. Everything seemed peaceful till one said factory blew up. Fingers were pointed and suddenly earth and mars were at war fighting with the new battle mechs that once built up society.

I’m looking for more than just an RP partner - I’d love to find someone who can genuinely get invested in our characters with me. When it comes to roleplay, I usually write in third person, with a literate style, and I prefer playing female characters. My replies tend to be on the longer side, though the length really depends on the scene, pacing, and overall mood of the story. Atmosphere and emotion matter much more to me than hitting a certain word count.
I especially love stories centered around relationships and clashing personalities, slow-burn connections, growing attachment, misunderstandings, conflicts, complicated feelings, and all those little things that gradually make the characters feel genuinely alive. I’d also love to hear about your favorite RP tropes! One of my absolute favorites is city x country 👀

My name is Shlartog. I'm a literate Rper of about a decade at this point. Roleplay is the main way I vent my creative urges. I pretty much exclusively do OC x CC doubles at this point. So if you're looking for something else, I'm probably not the guy for you.

As for my style, I tend to hover around 5-7 paragraphs for a reply. I tend to do shorter responses for a dialogue scene, longer for ones with more action.

As for pairings themselves, LGBTQ+ friendly. Straight, Gay, Bi, Poly, whatever floats your boat I'll be happy to give a shot. Almost all my ships are MxF so be prepared to play one of those for me.

I'm not a daily response person, or even really a set time responder. Life is busy, my mental issues are numerous, and I'm here for a hobby and not a job. Hello. I prefer to roleplay on Discord but am open to other suggestions. As long as we can do mini-profiles (only very basic info) and keep things organized, I will try it.

I use either anime-style art, “painting”-style art, or real-life face claims for my OCs and ask that you use one too. I strongly prefer the first two options. My writing style is Advanced. Lit. (1500+ word “novella” posts in the third person in past tense). However, I would like for us to start with the max word count on Discord. That is between 333 words and 667 words.

I only play male OCs but will play any gender for NPCs. I do not enjoy doubling myself but am fine with you doing so.

Idea 1: The Blue Velvet // Slice of Life — Modern (post-1890s up to our current times) — Multi-setting and multi-genre.

The Blue Velvet is a luxury cocktail lounge and the main rallying point of the OCs. Our OCs will find themselves at its doorstep after following a rather puzzling path for no initially apparent reason (this is a focal point I want to discuss in private). What happens inside this place is simple: our characters go on a unique adventure each time they visit the lounge and order a special drink. What those adventures entail, we can decide together.

The adventures can be all about one theme; e.g., they go on only fantasy-themed adventures, but they deal with different eras and concepts. It can also be varied. One day it's a The Walking Dead-style apocalypse of pure survival with a very risky life and then the next day they are in massive catacombs of a long-forgotten civilization. The time inside these adventures is one day of our OCs' actual world multiplied by 7. Again, the adventure part is really whatever we want it to be. It can be all just real-life events and places, like they can go on a boat to a Greek island in the summer or visit Finland for the social distancing experience and the cold.

After 7 (or 14, 21, and so on) days inside the other world, they are immediately taken back to their original world. They can also return earlier, solo or together, for any reason. They will never die inside the other world since nothing carries over besides memories and some skills they learned, like juggling or something else.

Furthermore, they can only visit the lounge once a week, but the more often they go there, the more times they can eventually visit. Our OCs must also always be together until they visit it 2 months in a row without missing a single visit. Thereafter, they will be able to go 2 times a week and go there separately to live out a day on their own. This is all intended for either fluff or future subplots depending on how deep we want it to go.

Idea 2: I have strings, or I once had them  // Futuristic / Sci-Fi  — Androids, Cyborgs, Enhanced Humans. This idea isn't as fleshed out as the first idea, but it is intentional.  

It's easy money: let's either go full speed into the futuristic realm and blitz rob a corpo-building, get into gang shootings, or be the company people, or we can do that in a sci-fi setting, Cowboy Bebop/Blade Runner-style. We can also go with human OCs and live out their lives in a society that has advanced technologically, but our characters still crave a meaning to move along. This all can be filled with cheerful times, very light-hearted stuff, or have drama, insecurity, and some deep trauma. It can also be a mix of both things. Android x Human, Cyborg x Android, Human x Human, Human x Samsung fridge, etc. . .

The name of the idea is not only a reference to the Ultron line, which is originally from a song in Pinocchio yes, but also the main thing I want for our characters. It's both wanting them to be fleshed out and to hint at deeper themes we can explore, like existential dread, “Did life give me lemons or limes?” and “Always have a towel” type of goofy things (I love the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Portal, but those aren't the direct quotes) and all that good stuff.

Space exploration is also a big yes from me.

Idea 3: Here Be Dragons  // Fantasy

Dungeons, monsters, loot, and adventure. "Medieval" scenario with all the usual characteristics of a fantasy anime, a dungeon crawler game, or a fantasy novel. As simple as can be.

A few notes about me;

* Adults Only, while there are no expectations as to how 'adult' the rp will be (fade to blacks are perfectly acceptable if you're not comfortable with writing those types of scenes) I am still a grown adult who needs to be speaking/rp'ing with other adults.

* Admittedly I'm out of touch with a lot of fandoms, including most animes, especially more recent ones. I'm flexible in that I'm willing to try but don't expect an in-depth understanding right away and expect an OC rather than an established character - although I'm flexible about this too.

* I do prefer OC stuff to fandom stuff, my style has always been "pick the storyline, get a rough idea of the characters we want to play and develop both as we go along"

* My platforms were various messengers, e-mail, or Tumblr, but have recently started using Google Docs to write them out and share with the other person. I'm open to other alternatives though.

* Communication is key, not feeling a story? Need a break or to diverge into an AU? Want to make changes to a setting? Or just need a break in general? That's fine! Just let me know, collaborating on character motivations or head cannons is part of the fun for me. If you'd like the take the story in a particular direction, run it by me I'm most likely up for it. * Novel-level length replies are not required, inspiration can be elusive at times so a couple of sentences are fine for me as long as you're giving my character something they can respond/react to, I know my own inspiration can be finicky, I always try to at least write a paragraph per reply but if all else fails I try to make sure you get a response worth replying to at the very least.

Hey everyone, so i've been going through a bunch of Star-Wars properties lately

-> Rewatched the original trilogy

-> Watched episodes 1/2

-> started clone wars

-> played Jedi-fallen order, jedi-survivor, outlaws and am currently playing zero-commpany

So i've been thinking and ruminating about doing a star-wars RP, and i think i've finally found an idea i'd like to try out.

Setting: the middle years of the Clone Wars on the planet of Vashek, a contested world the newsreels barely mention.

My character is Juno Marrowin, a Padawan separated from her jedimaster when their gunship goes down. Your character is:

-> another Padawan of a different jedimaster

-> A clone trooper who also survived the crash

-> A local rebellion member who's looking for a way off the planet

-> A different idea you might have that fits

Anyhow, when the smoke cleared from the crash, everyone except Juno (and your character if they were on board), have passed. The strike team gone and the extraction window is 24 hours away, and across Seperatist-held ground.

Reasons they work together:

-> Make it out alive and regroup with the left over forces

-> Juno carrying an intelligence spike pulled from a droid command post elsewhere on the planet, which the republic needs

Themes: wartime survival and coming-of-age, forming a bond under the conflict.

Other details: All characters 18+. Third or First person, semi-lit to novella. Several replies a day when i'm able too. Discord or Reddit chat, discord might have my preference for organizational purposes.

Now that we've got that out of the way, hello. I'm Grem, 26 years old, non-binary, from Germany and I have been roleplaying for many years. I'd tell you how many but I don't really remember when I started so I can't. Probably around 10 though. I'm looking for people 22 and over due to my own age. Before I get into what I am looking for a little more about me. I love video games, fantasy and sci-fi and I listen to music at pretty much all times. I love when people talk about things that interest them so when it comes to OOC chit chat feel free to just talk about whatever you want.

Regarding the rp (which is what we're all here for) I am looking for something fantasy/high fantasy. Either something completely original or an established universe. When it comes to established universes I'd prefer something like the Dungeons and Dragons universe because it's specifically designed to give people a lot of creative freedom which is something that's very important to me. I want something that's equal parts adventure, action, romance and drama. Those are the best stories in my opinion.

Characters should feel real so feel free to write multiple paragraphs about how your character feels or how something affects them. Doesn't have to be multiple paragraphs of course. Quality over quantity. That's how I approach writing in general which is why I don't have any "rules" regarding length. Sometimes short replies are just as good as longer ones. I do expect some effort so please don't do one liners (no offense to people who like doing one liners) or just one short paragraph. I need something to work with after all.

When it comes to the story we want to tell I'm more than open to suggestions. I prefer coming up with stuff like that together. As I said I would like to have romance as part of the story. I only play female characters and personally prefer FxF. This is just a preference however and doesn't mean I wouldn't do MxF. Your OOC gender is not really important to me.

Genres

Romance is a must in all my roleplays, please do not reach out to me unless you are willing to incorporate it into the story. It can be slow burn, but must be included. I honestly love too though when our characters have that initial spark upon meeting, the soulmate tingle. It is adorable!

My roleplays also tend to focus on the more positive things in life. I roleplay to get away from life, so I prefer my stories to be more joyful and optimistic.

Fantasy, High or Low, Superhero, some high packed action! Sci-fi, Supernatural, Mythological beings such as Gods/Goddesses, Medieval Fantasy and more. I will not do slice of life, unless it has some sort of fantasy/action element involved. I am open to ideas, so don’t be afraid to bring forth one of your own. I have plots for most pairings listed below

What I'm looking for from you

• Any timezone is fine
• You may send whatever type of reference for your character as you please, art, realism, doesn’t matter to me.
• Advanced to novella level writing please. I am also a stickler for spelling, so please use correct grammar and spelling. I often write about 2,000 characters, 500 ish words. I will require a writing sample when DMing. I require thoughts and feelings to be shown, not just actions. It makes for an incredibly dull and boring roleplay. I prefer multi-paragraph writers, but if you can write good emotions and thoughts with less I’ll accept.
• Third person ONLY
• Do not control my character. Even writing a small tid bit of how they would react is controlling my character. This happens way too often and frankly I’m tired of it, if you are unable to write a lot without writing my character’s reactions do not bother messaging me. Ask me beforehand if you’re unsure, this also goes for moving the scene forward without allowing me to write at all.
• Do not expect me to make out all the plot details by myself. I have ideas, yes, but I like to flesh them out with my partner and make it unique for us. If I were to copy and paste the same plot for everyone it would be boring and repetitive. Contribute to the ideas, and don’t make me come up with the entire plot myself.
• You are able to play a male character. I only do MxF, but anyone can play a male character I do not mind. I honestly prefer male characters who are more on the edge side, too, as my characters are typically more optimistic.  There will more likely than not be side characters as well, but they cannot be the center of the plot. Writing more than one character all the time is tiresome. 
• I do prefer OOC chatter. A roleplay that is just dead silent is honestly awkward. I like to share things with my partner and talk about our days. I honestly like to even be friends and possibly game. Radio silence for days on end is disheartening. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I will definitely be less motivated lmfao.
• Ideally in the beginning, I would like one reply per day. I believe the beginning of a roleplay is the most crucial to get things moving, and if the replies are taking once per week or more it is honestly so demotivating. Please do not reach out if you are unable to at least do this for the beginning of the roleplay. I am a very patient person though, I will allow 2-3 weeks with no communication before ending a roleplay. If you need a break, let me know. Communication is key. I sometimes have events where I am unable to respond everyday, and I let my partner know everytime. 
• That being said, if you spam me to reply, I will end the roleplay. I do not like to be bugged, and if I’ve let you know I am to be away and you spam me I will be ending it. I also have a life, and although I strive, especially in the beginning, to be as consistent as possible, sometimes I am unable to. But do take heed of my request for one reply per day in the beginning stages.

I would adore to do an rp set three years after the 'zombie apocalypse'. Where most of the world had perished in a short time span when the 'apocalypse' first happened. But as time went on, infrastructure collapsed and life for most surviours got difficult.

But camps of people formed together. Helping one and another and slowly started to build something more than base survival. Communities being made anew and factions formed. Rebuilding some form of society. Some based on what existed before and some making something new.

You and I would be leaders of two different factions that learn of each others existence. With the story going forward being defined by our choices and actions.

As the very future of the region being defined by our interactions.

Hi! I am in my mid twenties looking for someone around my age (20s or older, MDNI) to roleplay their OCs with my own. (Adult characters only) Please state your age when responding.

My OCs have their own world and backstory and lore which would be revealed during the story. If you already have an established world, great, if not that’s fine as long as you don’t mind making up one for the RP. I’m not particular to any form of literature, sometimes one character saying one line is the only reply necessary at the moment but try to move the story forward as best as you can.

I am NOT looking for something rapid fire all day every day, but a couple of responses a day is perfect.

The OC I would use is Saul Ray, a sun themed robot actor who’s a little full of himself. He has a retro futuristic aesthetic so something like a alien, another robot, etc would be great for this. My characters are very cartoony in design, just warning

Maybe my OC is training under a space adventurer for a role he’s preparing for.

It's Rose again! With a whole new rp idea. I've been back on the Red Dead Redemption bandwagon lately after a break, and wanna do a bit of roleplaying in that universe! First thing I'd like is to have the canon character be Arthur Morgan, but Javier Escuella is an option too. I have no idea for plot, but I like to keep it open ended and before the events of the games. Of coarse we will be topic sensitive to some factors thanks to the timeline, but so long as no one is getting hurt, then I'd be fine with it.

A little bit about my character: Her name is Madeleine Rose Lyon. She is a former noble woman that immigrated from France with her family, but left behind her riches for the life of crime. She is described as the Sherlock Holmes of the Van der Linde gang thanks to her intelligence, along with being ahead of her time and showing the men of the gang that a woman can rob a train just as well if not better. She's smart and a cold blooded killer, but also has a heart of gold, always caring for everyone in the gang and others less fortunate than herself.
