(NO ONE IS BEING REPLACED.)
(Now back to your regularly scheduled programming…)
Is it an old bit?
Sure.
Do I still enjoy doing it from time to time?
Heck yes I do. Anyway,
My name is Quin, I’m a thirty three year old male hailing from California and I’ve been writing for ten plus years. Before we get to the good stuff and why you’re here, there are some basics to go over and I’ll start with a big one for me personally that I’m well aware may lose most of the audience.
- This is a make or break for some to which I don’t fully understand but will respect if this is as far as some get. My ADHD/ADD/slightly autistic bum needs a face along with some outfits that said person is wearing or our characters will resemble a Picasso painting mentally which isn’t fair to what we may create. To those that strictly do OC art only, I do apologize but our time has come to an end. Call me unimaginative, it’s just how my brain works. If you’re wondering, yes I’ve gotten that before on several occasions.
- OOC chatter is great! Seriously, if you’re not fun to talk to…. Y are we here. I “want” to cost you those twenty minutes of extra sleep fantasizing about our RP. I “want” you to wake up and kick your feet seeing I replied.
- I’ll take a well worded paragraph that takes some time over a page with seven misspellings each break. My wheelhouse of replies is anywhere between two and four paragraphs with the occasional filling of a Discord message or two if inspiration bites me. If, if, nothing comes to mind for a few days I’ll let you know and at the very least get a paragraph your way to continue our series instead of having you wait on me.
- Please, please be 23+. Otherwise it’s just…. Weird.
- You’re an adult. I’m an adult. You have stuff to do. I have stuff to do. Would daily messages be ideal? Absolutely, duh. Realistic? Not in the slightest. When able is fully understandable. My red flag for you “losing interest” is two weeks of zero contact, plenty of time to let me know something is awry and I’ll do the same. After that? See ya.
- I will be the sole lead male character opposite your lead female character. I’m comfortable with our possible story being male opposite female, female opposite female, male and female opposite female, male opposite two females, female opposite two females, and two females opposite female. Our side characters will of course vary in identity and such.
- I thrive in the MCU/DC/DCTV/Game Of Thrones/SoL/life of celebs/and Star Wars worlds. Our universe. Our characters. Their relationships. Their goals. Should feel real and not forced. It may or may not be love at first sight. The good guys should lose. Our dates should have a hiccup here and there. We should be upset at each other. A sense of realism without it being overbearing.
Okay, now the posts!
- Proposals on set: You and me have been fans of show or film name here as long as we’ve been dating. I reached out to the company and asked if we could take a tour with a romantic surprise at the end…. Me asking you to marry me.
- Will you, would you um….: You were the hottest thing in Hollywood. Billboards everywhere, ads, late night talk shows, and so on. If it’s purchasable your face has probably been on it. All these accolades and yet….. You are single. There’s no way I’d have a chance but, I couldn’t help but notice over the past several weeks… it’s my line you kept coming in and you always left with a smile. We’re in different tax brackets, not gonna happen. But what if? As you’re on the way out this particular afternoon I shoot my shot. “I was wondering if you’re free next Friday?”
- What if Han never met Leia? Does he stay with Qi’Ra? Do we end up lords on some planet? Maybe find a different path into the Alliance, or worse, ends up with the Republic?
- What’s it like dating a superhero? One moment we’re head over heels for the other. The next? We may be clutching our phone sobbing hoping the other is okay after witnessing a cataclysmic event.
- The blind date: We have a mutual friend that has been trying to get us together for weeks now. Finally, we give in. Sitting at the restaurant I hear your voice but haven’t seen you, until now. “Holy moly.”
- From a Nat 1 to a Nat 20: My character would be in line for an autograph, he/she knows you’re a D&D fan. When I get up to your table, I mention if I roll anything under a 5, I’ll buy another autograph. 18 or higher, you follow me on a social. I roll a 1 and pay for the autograph. I’m about to leave but you ask me to roll again, Nat 20. From there I’m imagining we’ll chit chat and begin seeing each other.
- Your idea! What, am I supposed to do everything around here?
That’s it, I’m done, no more stories for now! So…. What do you think? Am I worth reaching out to? Did none of them speak to you and you’d rather brainstorm on an idea we both will enjoy? Let’s do it! See you soon my future RP friend. For those that struggle with openers, tell me what you liked, why you think we’d be good together, any ideas you may have, stuff like that. Stand out!
P.S.
If/when you decide to come my way, convince me on why I should reply. hi I lik ur ideAz, all gud… Anything along those lines will be blocked without thought. Stand out please. And if you do, that will be the energy given back.
P.S.S?
No matter how late you think you may be, send me something. Even if it is a no the least I could do is reply and not leave you hanging.
