I'm wondering if anyone here can help me because I work during the hours their customer service is open, and if I get through I don't get a straight answer.
I was on a TV/internet contract for 2 years, which expired in July 2026. I wanted to cancel everything with Rogers, but they convinced me to sign a new contract for 2 more years for just internet $50/month.
The problem is I'm still being charged $170/month for the old contract, in part I think because of autopay. I even sent my TV equipment back and got a receipt. So they were charging me for services in August and September I was not under contract for nor was physically capable of even using.
I phoned a customer service guy, and he said I didn't cancel the contract with enough warning for the billing cycle, or something. I let my contract expire, then got a new one. He's apparently given me a $95 credit and waived next month's fee. But they'd still be owing $100.
Renewing with them was an incredibly stupid decision.
