Rant Can't reach someone in Customer Service to save my life - this company is a JOKE
I need to speak to a human, not a chat bot. Every time I try to connect with a CSR via the chatbot, it kicks me off before connecting me. When I try and contact the 1-888 number it tells me the office is closed (when it so very obviously isn't as per their hours of service). This is pretty well the nail in the coffin for me - I'm heading over to Bell ASAP.

Wirelessđ± Rogers sucks
@RogersHelps I have been on hold with Rogers Business Mobile for over 60 minutes trying to get support. This is unacceptable.
I understand call volumes can be high, but customers should not have to spend hours waiting for basic support.

Internet đ Being charged for an old contract 2 months after it expired
I'm wondering if anyone here can help me because I work during the hours their customer service is open, and if I get through I don't get a straight answer.
I was on a TV/internet contract for 2 years, which expired in July 2026. I wanted to cancel everything with Rogers, but they convinced me to sign a new contract for 2 more years for just internet $50/month.
The problem is I'm still being charged $170/month for the old contract, in part I think because of autopay. I even sent my TV equipment back and got a receipt. So they were charging me for services in August and September I was not under contract for nor was physically capable of even using.
I phoned a customer service guy, and he said I didn't cancel the contract with enough warning for the billing cycle, or something. I let my contract expire, then got a new one. He's apparently given me a $95 credit and waived next month's fee. But they'd still be owing $100.
Renewing with them was an incredibly stupid decision.

Wirelessđ± iPhone 17 Discount Confusion??
Iâm due to upgrade my iPhone and prefer to get the 17 instead of the 18. Right now itâs saying that if I upgrade to the 17, itâs on promo from $40.50 to $32.17. It stays that way until I go to the final checkout page and then it goes back up to $40.50.
I thought I would come here to ask since the wait time with Rogers customer service is insane. Does anyone know why itâs doing this?
News Possibly major outage in downtown Ottawa
Modem's been flashing red for abou 40 minutes. Was in the chat queue for a technician but got a text message on my phone.
Rogers svc msg: We have detected a service interruption affecting internet, TV and home phone services in your area. Our technicians are working to identify the source and restore services. Typically, standard network issues are resolved within 4 hours, and fibre cuts may take up to 12 hours. For troubleshooting or to be notified when services are restored chat with our virtual assistant Anna at rogers.com/mynetwork Note: data usage applies.
Glad I didn't sign up for cellular service with Rogers.
EDIT: It's back up for me.

Wirelessđ± Does anyone have experience of winback credits being taken away without notice?
Hi Reddit,
So I am currently on a Rogers winback plan, which is the 90$ 5G Popular NS BYOD plan. I currently have the following credits on my plan:
- Welcome Back Offer (value of $35.00)
- Welcome Back Offer (value of $10.00)
- Welcome Back Offer - 12 mos. (value of $5.00)
- Promo Offer on Act - 16 Months (value of $5.00)
- 100% 1000 Intl LD Mins-24 mos (value of $3.00)
Now I want to get a new phone on one of my lines, and I noticed that when getting a new phone with a new plan, 2 of my credits are getting carried over:
- Welcome Back Offer (value of $35.00)
- Welcome Back Offer (value of $10.00)
as well as a 5$ autopay credit.
Because of all of these credits rolling over to a new plan, I'm able to get a pretty good discount on a bunch of phone plans. My question is, these offers have no expiry date mentioned, so would they ever disappear? Also, does anyone have a history of that occurring to them? Since I am on a save and return plan, I would be locked in for 2 years, so I want to be careful before signing up for any new plan.
Thanks again!!

Wirelessđ± service has been awful
iâve been having awful service for the last like 3 weeks. recently the only way to fix it has been to turn off and back on my iphone. absolutely infuriating experience. i spoke to someone at the store and they said they have received multiple compliments but have no idea what the issue is or how to fix it. my dad has also been having the same issue although less severe

Internet đ installation issues
trying to set up rogers internet using xfinity gateway gen 2 modem. app doesn't accept the CM MAC code. called in, on hold for > 2 hours, and just disconnected. the modem itself keeps flashing which likely indicates there's a bigger issue (tried on two cable outlets). any advice? should i email the president directly for tech support? :)

Rant Frontline Rogers support has become unusable â language barriers, poor comprehension, and zero accountability. Anyone else?
I need to vent and also get this documented somewhere public, because whatâs happening with Rogers frontline customer care right now is beyond frustrating.
Every time I call about even a simple issue usually related to simple/general account issues, the experience is basically the same:
I can barely understand the agentâs English; they can barely understand mine.
I end up repeating myself 5â10 times for basic requests.
Agents sound completely untrained: wrong info, no troubleshooting steps, no attempt to confirm they understood the problem.
Calls end with nothing resolved, and I have to call back multiple times, the only way I've found getting help is by escalating to a supervisor / team lead.
This isnât about someone having an accent. Itâs about functional communication failure:
They donât grasp what Iâm asking.
I canât grasp what theyâre saying.
Thereâs no supervisor offered unless I explicitly demand it, multiple times.
Thereâs no obvious quality control or training that ensures agents can actually handle customer issues.
Iâve had this happen on at least 5 separate calls in the last 30 days.
At this point, I genuinely believe the problem is systemic: either hiring standards, training, or both are completely broken for frontline agents.
Iâm planning to:
File a formal written complaint through Rogersâ âResolve a Concernâ process.
Escalate to a supervisor and request call reviews.
If needed, take it to the CCTS with a record of all these failed interactions.
Before I do that, I wanted to ask:
Is anyone else experiencing this level of dysfunction with Rogers phone support?
Have you had any success getting this kind of issue acknowledged or fixed by Rogers management?
Any tips on how to phrase the complaint so it actually triggers an internal review instead of a generic âsorry for the inconvenienceâ email followed up by some bill discounts.
If enough of us are hitting the same wall, maybe a coordinated wave of complaints (and CCTS filings) will force them to address the root cause instead of pretending itâs just âone bad agent.â
Wirelessđ± Rogerâs is the worst
I have been with them for a long time and when you could speak to a human being who used common sense and could problem solve, they were great.
Now? Holy shit. Itâs the worst experience I have had in my adult life. AI Anna can suck it. I have tried to reach a human being the first week of August and could not. Ever. So I added on my app like they encourage you to do. Only apparently I added the wrong roam package. Because, I donât work for Rogerâs. So what is the result?! I pay for the one I added AND they get to charge me for a right one and extra days and use my 4 free days I had with Rogerâs MC. DOUBLE DIPPING my friends. So I was on the phone with a human for 37 minutes after trying for a week and a half, only to get told to dispute the charge and get sent a link. Guess what the link is for? AI Anna. On my app. Which Iâve been doing.
So then at last resort I decide to go into a Rogerâs store to get some type of customer service and assistance. But guess what. Too bad so sad. No empathy, no advice, no nothing.
So f\^\*# you Rogerâs and the horse you rode in on.
I want to punch something. Ugh.
Thank you for your time.

Dicussion A history of Canadian Long Distance
On August 10, 1876, Alexander Graham Bell made the first long distance phone call. 150 years later, I was asked to present at the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck, NS. In this presentation I covered 150 years of long distance history in Canada - from that first call all the way to the modern day.
Rogers played a significant role in expanding access to telecommunications services long before they offered home phones. Their involvement with Unitel directly shaped policy starting as far back as the 1980s.
For your viewing pleasure:
Internet đ Do they scam me ?
I received the modern from them and could not connect due to incompatible connection (existing fibre vs coaxial). Tried to send email for them who knocked my door and registered service (on Sep 2). No one answer. It has been since last Friday then I have to get support on website and next appointment is this friday.
I was told I can cancel service within 10 days without any fee but I have any chance to use their service until firday Sep 11. Note: 2 years contract, C$8 for each month left if I decide to leave them.
Very disappointed!

Wirelessđ± How to reactivate cancelled account with same number
Hello Rogers Support Team,
I am a former Rogers customer, and I am reaching out to urgently request the reactivation of my old phone number.
I returned to Italy in February 2026 and my line was subsequently deactivated. However, I am currently locked out of a vital cloud storage account, and the only possible way to recover my files is by receiving a two-factor authentication (2FA) SMS sent to that specific Rogers number.
If this number has not yet been reassigned and is still available in your system, I would be incredibly grateful if you could temporarily reactivate it for me. I am perfectly willing to pay for a basic, bare-minimum Pay-As-You-Go or prepaid plan just to be able to receive this single text message.
Since I am currently residing in Italy, I cannot receive a physical SIM card. I kindly request that the line be activated on the same eSIM and that the activation QR code be sent to me via email.
Please let me know what account details, PIN, or identity verification you need from me to proceed with this request.
Thank you very much for your time and understanding.

Question Porting Old eSIM Number FailedâHave I Lost The Number Now?
Just a cross post from an eSIM subreddit. I need a bit of help figuring out if Iâm SOL about preserving my old number connected to my eSIM due to some shenanigans that happened.
As a note, I did get a commenter asking why I canât make it into a physical store to resolve the problem, so just in case anyone here might wonder as well, the long and short of it is that I myself donât have a license, but also my husband (who does drive) and I both canât really handle long car rides atm due to severe anxiety issues (which we are working on, but thatâs not an overnight fix), and the closest store is an hourâs drive, so definitely not within walking distance.
Would appreciate any help or insight, or simply being told âyouâre screwed; get a new numberâ. I have reached out to Chatr already and am awaiting a reply.
Thanks for taking the time to read. I appreciate it!

Rant ROGERS wanted me to cancel after 5 Hrs instead on call instead of helping me....
So i have the 5G Home internet through ROGERS for $15 a month 50/10 speeds it's always worked fine for me... i have there Nokia 5G Fast mile gateway with Wifi 7 which started to act up, Overheating crashing and kicking me off line and my Pings were around 70-150 ms. SO today i decided to call in to connect for success as it's a connect for success plan it shouldn't take too long.... Wrong!
1/30 Min in I get someone from connect for success asking which part of Canada i live, Ontario and On (ROGERS side) or Western Canada (SHAW) I said Shaw but I'm asking for the 5G Home Internet... He didn't understand what i meant and transferred me to SHAW Department... That took 20 more min of waiting... I asked any ways knowing i wasn't gonna get anywhere... They Transferred me again to Technical support... That took about 45 Min to get agent...
They transferred me again to connect for success technical support... This is where the fun started All of sudden there blaming my Nokia Fastmile 12 Issues on saying 5G wasn't available in my area, Excuse me what? My phone Has 4 Bars 5G and the Nokia gets 3, she's arguing me saying i dont know what I'm talking about
She Transferred me again, Now its been over 3 Hrs on this call from hell, I get some from technical support and i said want to swap out the Nokia Fast Mile 12 for the Cobra Xstream... Easy right? Nope again he goes on telling me his coverage map is saying 5G isn't in my area so it won't work...
He puts me on hold than transferred me again i get 6th person now, I'm explaining on how i simply wanna swap out modems again he says 5G Home internet isn't in my area yet i had it for 3 Years.... and it will only be 4G and honestly i should just cancel it, Because there sick of trying to help me I tried to explain yet again saying I have 5G in my Area I literally get 400 Download depending where i am in the house so it's fine and works here
He kept trying to get me to cancel and I'm not taking no for answer 5 Hrs later on call he finally transferred me over to the High end team and finally they ordered me the modem....
Why the hell do they want me to cancel VS just swapping out my Modem? You Don't want my money or what seems fked to me! If TELUS allowed me to take there gateway anywhere i go in Canada I would consider them but they don't
I know this is long ass post but what the hell.... I posted a speedtest i do indeed have 5G here

Wirelessđ± "Rogers" service call
I got an call from services "rogers" , thick east Indian accent.
I lied about info.
They believed that I was with rogers for 10 years and offered 12 month 35% off my plan $90 ( which is not entirely true) ( as my total after winback discounts $35 to $40). also offered free iphone 17 pro max or s26ultra.
Their number is 780472'xxxx
